Josh is (view spoiler)[an idiot. His girlfriend is even more so. I'm not too disappointed that they both became fertilizer. (hide spoiler)] Josh is (view spoiler)[an idiot. His girlfriend is even more so. I'm not too disappointed that they both became fertilizer. (hide spoiler)]

At 10,000 words, you can easily read this in one sitting, especially with the main character's distinct voice. The conceits used in the story have all been done before, but it was a good combination, not just cliches. If you're looking for 99 cents worth of good, old-fashioned horror, this is it. Horrible. I can't get into his writing. The first short story had an alternate ending with no real details. It felt like the movie "The Gate". The second short story felt like "Audrey 2" of which you feed plants. And the third felt like the closet of Narnia and running from your fears. Horrible. I can't get into his writing.
