   This book used to be easy to find. Now it's quite rare. The poems are swarthy, dangerous, beautiful and erotic. Thompson's language is as fresh and exhilarating as Hart Crane's, with daring figures and muscular sprung rhythms: Dead, their razzle-dazzle bodies, bare Foot in bedroom, pull apart As things of string.
