Fast paste, dynamic, with clues threaded-in for the inner detectives we all keep. Whilst the drive for the book is undeniably “Vengeful romantic longing”, the force-line of mental illness, and murder/mystery is a lot stronger. I would recommend to people who are fans of R. L. Stine’s “Goosebumps” collection, and Christopher Pike’s “Spooksville” collection. A book I find myself continually reaching out for, as a favourite, when I’m in need of a reboot out of my readers-slump, or some old-fashioned nostalgia.

It wasn't the best written teen horror boom I've ever read, but it wasn't the worst. I wanted to read this hoping it would similar to R.L. Stine's work yet it wasn't. Although it dragged, it wasn't completely horrible. A solid 2.5! It wasn't the best written teen horror boom I've ever read, but it wasn't the worst. This wasn't brilliantly written, but it was still an entertaining teen thriller. It's basically the good ol' Point Horror updated for the Gossip Girl generation, and it does what it sets out to do. This wasn't brilliantly written, but it was still an entertaining teen thriller.
