This book is simply indispensable for The Beatles' fan who wants to see all the places where members of the band lived, recorded, filmed, had photo sessions or just simply hung-out during the sixties. As is common knowledge, once the band signed to EMI (& under the guidance of Brian Epstein in 1963) they became London/Home Counties-based, & most of their activities (when not touring) were confined to this part of the country. The book has been meticulously & lovingly researched, with every detail covered. Lots of 'before & after' photos, helpful maps & diagrams too, & many surprises to be found. I've had great fun going on my own 'Beatles Walks' around London using this book, & showing others the sights too. It's also fun taking pics of the places mentioned (as they are now), & recreating your own photos at the same locations where Beatle boots once trod! It's an excellent & fascinating book, & a fine record of the world's greatest band's history & activities in 1960s London.

This astonishing book delivers on what it promises, it guides you through 467 sites in London (and sometimes in Kent) that are tied to The Beatles. It can be either as important as Abbey Road Studios or as inconsequential as the place Paul ate with Jane Asher after the premiere of Alfie, but the depth of research is what makes this book so impeccable. I bought this since I'll be visiting London in a couple of weeks, and I want to be able to use it to recognize sites I wouldn't have known were there without it. I'm sure it'll be an even greater resource there!

A delightful and insightful little book. Beatles fans will enjoy reading about the London of the 60s. Much is gone for good, but there's plenty of places still around where you can travel back in time to when the boys were fab. Wonder where they shot the gatefold picture for the Red and Blue albums? Now you can find out. What remains and what is gone from the Magical Mystery Tour stops. What has happened at 3 Saville Row since the Apple days? Pick up a copy of THE BEATLE'S LONDON and revisit swi A delightful and insightful little book. Beatles fans will enjoy reading about the London of the 60s. An extremely well documented book, it contains a lot of details about what the Beatles did in and around London town - big, small, together or individually. It contains tons of photos, maps and useful comments about places and buildings - even those that are not there anymore. I enjoyed this book very much - and I'm not even a Beatles fan!
