GREAT book, full of great ideas to teach your children all about letters, phonics and such. I found myself writing just about every one of them down to try with my child. I think this is geared more toward a classroom setting, but they can always be modified for home. I just teach my son at home and have benefited so much from this book!

Wow -- just flipped through this after seeing Julie M's recommendation, and boy is it full of some great early literacy and ready-to-read activities. If I taught preschool, had a youngun, or worked more closely with RTR, I'd want my own copy of this! There were some good activities to work on children's early literacy skills in this book, however, the most valuable information were the newsletters in the back explaining the simple skills and easy ways to improve them. This will definitely be helpful when creating handouts.
