Police officer Darren Callaghan has been hunting for the cause of a burned mountain on the outskirts of Leadville, Colorado, but when a woman goes missing, he can’t help the feeling that they are connected somehow. A call comes in that some fences have been cut, and he finds a ragtag group of trespassers is squatting on some abandoned land outside of town. This is his moment. This is the missing piece. This is his chance to figure out all of the strange occurrences that have been piling up lately. The trespassers he questions aren’t what he expected though, especially not the dark-haired beauty that seems to be leading these snarling people. Aspen is gorgeous, protective, smart, and courageous, but it’s clear to see she’s hiding something behind those bright-gold eyes…something dangerous that will change the course of his life forever. Aspen Moore is a werewolf on her very last chance. Tired of running from wars her last Alpha started, she’s pulling one last desperate move to find sanctuary for the Trader Pack in the mountains of Colorado. Her Pack is in need of an Alpha who can keep them safe, but no one wants to tether themselves to a Pack that is being hunted. One meeting in the woods with a handsome police officer throws everything she thought she knew into a tailspin. Nothing is as it seems near Promise Falls, but perhaps a big, powerful, dominant man in uniform is just what she and her friends need to stay alive. Falling for him is a horrible idea, but the heart wants what it wants. The more she gets to know him, the more she wants to protect him from what is coming for the Trader Pack, and now she must choose—the life of her Pack, or the life of the man she’s falling in love with. Buckle up for this wild ride as two new Alphas battle for one territory. War has come to Promise Falls. Lines will be drawn, boundaries will be crossed, and alliances will be destroyed as once again, love fights to conquer all. Content Warning: Explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of shifter secrets. This series is mid-war and mid-establishing territory lines. If you aren’t up for wolf fights, this won’t be your jam, but if you’re up for action-adventure love stories with a side of werewolf growly-growly-fight-fights, this one’s for you. Two Packs, one territory. May the best werewolves win.

Still in love. There is so much to unpack in this series, much less this book. However, I feel that it is more important to speak about the talents of the author. She takes characters that one would believe to be jerks, a$$holes, selfish, and/or weak, and gives them substance. She redeems those that seem to be beyond redemption and makes you fall in love, again and again. If you haven't read anything by T.S. yet, let me help you with the decision. Do it. You are in for an amazing ride. You won't Still in love. There is so much to unpack in this series, much less this book. Loved it!! A real rollercoaster ride from one of my favourite authors. I didn't think I'd like these characters as much as the others in this series, as they weren't particularly likeable in the previous books. But honestly, I laughed and I cried for and with them and I even wished on 1010 for a real happy ending for them. A great read, and now I'm looking forward to the next😍 Loved it!! Aspen is the second to a rag tag pack that's falling apart and slowly being picked off by enemies one by one. They gave me all the chuckle moments I was expecting, but did bring a whole lot of politics to the story. The politics tended to bog the story down, but did add that element of danger. Darren, (cop douche older brother from one of the other books) gets bitten by a werewolf while out searching for a missing woman. He was waaayyy nicer in this one! Still stubborn, but it was presented as a more positive attribute in this book. The missing woman... this bit was weird. She was kidnapped, and knows who it was, but no one says anything. And then the cop alpha doesn't follow up when he suspects others were involved. Super weird. That's not really something you just let go. It's never really addressed or fully resolved, though I'm guessing that's because Naomi will get a book next. There were a few things here that didn't make sense to me, because human and wolf logic both dictated different actions. (view spoiler)[ Like Aspen turning a human to stop the alpha. She could have just killed him and been done with it without wasting her one shot at turning a human. (hide spoiler)] But I loved Aspen and her mini broken pack.

It took me a few chapters to figure out how this one was connected to the series, but when I did it clicked big time. I found myself intrigued that Darren was now a wolf, wondered how that would go, especially since he seemed smitten to Aspen, who was not allowed there. I felt bad for Aspen, she was trying to do the best she could with those left around her, yet that didn't seem to help. All she wanted was a safe place for those that she had left to live in peace. While things didn't start out how she had hoped, they sure ended that way. I was glad that everyone was clued into what Aspen had been trying for and that she finally found a safe place for her people. Mating Darren at that point was the bonus on top of everything else.

When I found out who the male lead was, I wasn't sure how I was going to like this since I didn't much care for him in his sister's story. Boy was I wrong. So wrong. So so soooooo wrong. Was _Almost_ my first five star 🌟 read in months . _Almost_ This was almost a five star 🌟 read for me . Damn. Had the ending been a touch different it would have been. (Minor ⚠️ Spoilers ⚠️) Huge but abbreviated fight near the end of the book, pack is attacked w/out Darren present and after losing a member they run off . They tell themselves they’re doing it to protect others. And while part of me can totally get NOT wanting to bring someone you love into a nasty or painful situation, really I do. I would have respected them more if they’d stayed and fought for the beautiful new lives they were/had created fir themselves. Darren and Naomi and the pack/family they were was with fighting for . I get wanting to protect buuuuuuuut having to chase them done to basically save them from themselves after all the beautifully stead work they’d been putting was honestly a big disappointment for me. The pacing felt way,way to slow to me. Now don’t get me wrong I loved watching Aspen and Darren court each other . I loved seeing them actually get to know each other but the pacing was either too slow or the book needed to be just a wee bit longer to me . Usually a loving pack like this can be pretty quick to pull in its new member ( who ever the new H or h is in the story ) and bring them into the fold, but here even though Darren seems to be an incredibly fit person/alpha/wolf for the job,it’s like an incredibly l o n g audition process ,then no job offer. Darren was like born to be their alpha and yet when they need him most, for some reason even though he can force them to follow his orders if need be ,yet no pack bonds have formed that would let him know “his ppl” were in danger ? Not after being with them night and day for a month+ ? Plus the all knowing ,know-it-all Stark had no freaking clue how good and kind they were ? I mean grudges aside the F’er should know as well as anyone what’s it’s like to be stuck with a bad/poisonous alpha and how powerless that can make you . Almost too little to late there. For me it should have either kept it’s really slow pacing but at at least one more chapter after Darren went and found them, Or sold things up just a thought with Darren and his new crew . Had them fight for their new lives together and further cement their new bonds as they save each other’s lives again. But taking such a slow path for the couple to not be a “thing” really til the VERY end and same with him and the pack ? Yeah, no. Come on,raise your hand if you really love a couple not REALLY being a “couple” til the very last chapter of a book ? Be honest ? It mean even weirder/worse is how it feels like Darren isn’t just wooing Aspen and vice verse but he’s wooing the pack and vice versa to be its alpha . And then for it to end right as it happens ? That just feel right. I felt short changed by a book that until then I’d wanted to hand my first five star 🌟 in almost a year. I started to think I was no longer capable of giving a rating over three stars. But it was like all woo, no relationship. We spend over 75% working up to our first sex scene and to them becoming mates and bonds being cemented obey to have to chase it all til literally the end of the book. It felt like hours of appetizers and never getting to the entree til long past the time for dessert 🍮. I like it should have been shorter and faster and had different choices made or stayed as is but been longer so choices could been more satisfying. Not the review I’d hoped to write. But like the story, it’s when it ended up with . Still was nice to have a healthy lead male for once ,even if was a bit to slow in going after what he wanted . Please read.

Aspen is thrown for a loop when she realizes that Darren is her mate and not only that, but he is the alpha the Trader Pack needs. He is the only one that can go up against Stark. Will her love for Darren force her and what's left of her pack to go on the run again, therefore relinquishing any hope of finally stopping the running? As in the books before this one there is lots of action, rage, laughter and you are going to cry your eyes out.....Can't wait to read the next book in this series when it comes out. What a great series Ms Joyce!

Worth the wait. Ok, I know that I only have to wait about a little over a month for each of these books, but they are my happy place, so as soon as it gets close to drop time, I start checking every day. It's always nice when no one is around to hear my squeal when it finally shows up. Then I immediately gobble it up, (literarily speaking), then commerce with waiting for the next book to come out in a month. Always so good!!!!! The worst thing about a T.S. Joyce book is..........when it comes to The End. I always wail out "I can't wait another whole month for the next book!!!!!" I just can't!!!! Hot Cop Darren and Aspen delivered a strong story. Darren is the hot cop in town and his sister is Carly. I loved that he finally gets his own story, but the bonus is that it almost like a new series. Aspen is just trying to keep her boys alive and safe. The sins of the past unfortunately have to be paid by someone. That’s how this story came to be. Aspen and who is left of the Trader Pack didn’t ask for what they have to do. They are paying for the sin of a bad alpha! Your heart will be bleeding for a bit in this story but it does have so many good moments that with time it will close up! Darren and Aspen are so right for each other and that I happens naturally. Great thing about a T.S. Joyce book is love is always a key ingredient!

Is it even possible for Joyce to write a bad book? I'm pretty sure it isn't. And much like every other book I was crying by the end of it. Like the rest of Joyce's works, the characters act in entirely logical ways in keeping with their characters, they're just believable. And even though you know things between the main couple of each book will work out in the end you're kind of hanging on every word trying to figure out how they're going to get there. mercy was found and give I can’t say much because so much emotion is what I’m feeling right now as I read the end of this story. I’m crying and sad smiling now. I loved both characters. Darren’s character was unexpected when introduced in the last book, but he “became” much more in his story. I love everything g about Aspen as she sacrifices her wants and needs for the happiness of others. If you want a good cry and a happy ending, read this story.

Strength, loyalty, and new relationships I started the book unsure who Aspen’s mate would be. Once I read his name I was quite happy. It was a nice surprise and tied up some questions I had at the end of book 3. This one is full of strength and loyalty. Justice is served, sacrifices are made, and new relationships are built. Another excellent read.

Loved it!!! Oh wow..I am in awe with Darren, on how he held it together as a changed wolf..yeah I guess that's potential of a Alpha..wow things sure turn around that Stark the Lone Wolf agrees to be allies with the Stryker Pack...luv it. And now war will come to Promise falls..really looking forward to the next book in the series...big fan as always Winzie19🤗💞. Loved it!!! Good read This book read a lot more serious than previous ones. The funny / bantering mixed with the serious, wasn't there. It was still a very good addition to the previous ones and feels like it could be a lead to many more in this series or the start of a new one? Previous characters intertwined perfectly. Happy reading 📚 😊 Good read This book read a lot more serious than previous ones. The funny / bantering mixed with the serious, wasn't there. Loved it! It’s cute and funny with a layer of serious drama to keep me interested. It stinks that Amazon doesn’t tell me when a new T.S. Joyce book is released. I’m following her, but I don’t get an email or notification like I do with other authors, even some I’m not following. I have to just keep checking back.

Love it❤️ Such a good book! I was so excited by a wolf using my gamer/online name. I'm Stryker. I've used it as my game and online identity since 2016. I love your characters so much. When I'm done reading one of your stories... I feel like I'm in the wrong world. You make it seem so real and so possible. Love it❤️ Such a good book! OMG!!! Well Done, T! I was extra emotional with this one and I don't know if it was my personal life blending in or what, but you did amazing with this one. I absolutely love how you always make something good come out of something so tragic in your stories. Ready for "The Stryker Pack" ❤ OMG!!! Well Done, T!
