Great book on the history of the Olympics by Seb Coe and Nicholas Mason- dividing up the Olympics into various themes including sections of the emergence of Africa as the world's leading distance running and contribution of Percy Cerutty and Arthur Lydiard and their famed athletes such as Herb Elliot and Peter Snell to Olympic history. First published in the early 1980s but still absorbing reading and crisply written.
