   I loved this book, I couldn't put it down! McMillan absolutely nails her setting: if you're from the Midwest, the people, places and relationships will feel immediately familiar to you and if you're not, you'll gain an instant understanding of what it's like to live there, especially small town Midwest. To paraphrase Taylor Swift, so casually cruel in the name of maintaining decorum. Atmosphere set, the plot takes you on twists and turns that have you questioning everything. I read a lot of myst I loved this book, I couldn't put it down! I read a lot of mystery books and am familiar with the usual tropes, but at no point did I guess the answers. It made for such a compelling read that kept me turning the pages and the climactic ending blew me away. It's fast paced and atmospheric at the same time. I'm recommending this to everyone!
