A beautiful and adorable series for fans of tea, Dragons, and queer stories! I prefer the illustration style of the first book over the last two. I also wish there were more books in the series instead of seeming like it ended right after introducing me to a world and characters I want to know more about.

Also at the same time a new person was being born and somehow I really love that fact. As a whole I really enjoyed this. The art is lovely, the stories are of the quiet sort and the dragons are frigging cute. Perfect to read with smoll children around and I would go so far to read this as a family so you can have discussions about the message behind the stories with the little ones but also with other adults. It really lends it for that, at least it would in my family. Or we would just bicker about what dragon is the best. The Tea Dragon Society is such a lovely quiet story. It's a shame it isn't translated to my language because I would love to read this with my niblings. It has a message but that isn't really noticeable? I mean I can see myself discussing it with children and adults. What you take away from this story will differ on your age and experiences. Which makes this story such a lovely one. My only criticism is the colour palet but that's more because of how the book is made. Some colours are very... washed out? You can see that different kinds of brown was used but because of the paper or how it was printed it's hard to differentiate the colours. Shame. The Tea Dragon Festival Not a lot about the festival itself but I loved the rest of it! Also.. the Mountain Chamomile Dragon? Cutest. Shit. Ever. The Tea Dragon Tapestry again not a lot of tapestry. The message was a bit more obvious in this one but the whole story felt a bit more mature. Not a bad thing because the characters are really loveable. Still I didn't connect as much with this one as the first two. The art also changed throughout? Not really a bad or good thing but noticeable. ***about The Tea Dragon Society on July 14, 2017*** I want this book so bad... No joke... Will give internet hugs for it.

I was impressed with the illustrations, by Kay O'Neill, but even more enthralled with the stories she told in these three sweet graphic novels that make up the Tea Dragon Socety Box Set. (I recommend you read them in the order they were published.) The simple scenarios of the main characters, and of the many individuals they meet, are covertly, sexually, unidentifiable. This brought a realization of how much I imagine about a person by the way they look or in this case are drawn. This brought a realization of how much I imagine about a person by the way they look or in this case are drawn. The beauty of the graphic novel is that we have two creative mediums giving us room to explore equality. As an added touch to the justice theme, the second book "The Tea Dragon Festival" uses some American Sign Language to communicate when, not only in the illustration but also the usual 'voice balloon' becomes a 'voice box'... just in case you miss the hand signs it in the drawing! Clever and instructional. Many interesting links and information are included at the back of the book. I wished the publisher could have forseen that the darkness of the some of the printed panels was frustrating. I couldn't make out the details of some scenes or character. But the charm of the graphics outshone this flaw. Kay O'Neill will be someone I will want to follow for revisioning the graphic novel for younger readers-to-be and the elders that can introduce them to the bucolic and peaceful comic books.
