I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I’m not usually one to read sci-fi/alien based books but tiktok made me pick this one up and I’m so glad that I did. I loved the overall story. I loved the internal monologues of the two characters when they were trying to interpret what the other was saying and Buroudei’s declarations of love an adoration should be something all guys strive to accomplish. Overall, Cece and Buroudei’s story was funny, sexy and absolutely amazing to read about. I can’t wait to see where Ursa takes this series and I am excited to read more from her.

I loved that, despite everything, she was so brave to overcome her fears and face the unknown. And I loved her curiosity and willingness to learn and care about the Sea Sand people. Then, there’s Buroudei… I absolutely adored that male! As a Gahn, a warlord and the leader of his tribe, he’s strong, honorable, vicious in battle and fiercely protective. But when it comes to his mate, he was so sweet, thoughtful and just amazing. I absolutely loved the development of their relationship. Despite the language barrier, the chemistry between Cece and Buroudei was amazing and they shared such sizzling hot passion. And I loved their internal monologues - it was such fun to read how they tried to interpret each other’s words. In addition, I the worldbuilding in the story was amazing. The Sea Sand people have quite an interesting culture and traditions. And I’m really fascinated by the Lavrika. Overall, the story is a magnificent read filled with fast-paced action, danger, drama, humor, deliciously steamy romance and wonderful characters. I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every page of it!

I loved this book! It was exciting and interesting and felt different than most alien romance novels I've read. This is the first alien story I've encountered where the aliens aren't the more technologically advanced ones. The species on this planet has no idea of the existence of other planets or alien life. I thought that was a wonderful flip, and found myself loving that the hero Buroudei witnesses the earth ship crashing on his planet and thought it was a large dying beast. I thought that was a wonderful flip, and found myself loving that the hero Buroudei witnesses the earth ship crashing on his planet and thought it was a large dying beast. The book started with the action/intrigue almost immediately when the heroine Cece is kidnapped and soon learns it's by the government, forcing them to another planet in what is essentially a suicide mission to gather resources for Earth. This isn't the first book where the heroine who was abducted by aliens later discovers her own government approved of it, but it is the first I've read where a military group is handling the whole thing and I get to experience it through the character, rather than find out the truth of it later. It was really interesting and fun to learn a new way of life on this alien planet that's clearly not the best suited for human life. Religion/beliefs, customs, interactions were all different for Cece, trying to make sense of it all while unable to communicate. The chapters alternate between Cece and Buroudei, so you get into both their mindsets, and it's really nice to see them bond and grow closer. A wonderful book, and I can't wait for the next in this new series! I definitely recommend it! 5 stars.

Buroudei and Cece's Story . . . I had thought this would be like many other such kidnapped and dumped on a planet for aliens books. The fact they will probably die is not a concern to the military handling this mission. After the ship crashes, the military guys are killed by giant crab-like creatures. An alien, Buroudei, witnesses the crash and his fated mate was among the strange females. He grabs Cece to get her away from there while the other women are taken captive by another tribe. This is the start of Cece’s adventure where she has to adjust to her new environment and work with her alien rescuer with no way to communicate. The only thing she is sure of is that his body language says he has plans for HER. Will he protect her? Will she feel the bond growing between them? I enjoyed this story and liked the main characters. The story was interesting and kept the reader’s attention. I look forward to the other stories in this series.

I was prepared for this to be dark with a name like Alien Tyrant. Our big, bad alien might be a fierce warrior but he’s soft and sweet for his human mate. I love that so much. He spots CeCe, or ZeeZee as he calls her, and rushes into grab her. The other unfortunate ladies are whisked away by a rival tribe. This was super sweet. Even before they can communicate she’s inexplicably drawn to him. After they can talk, she’s a goner, this big sweet alien tyrant has a way with words. Lots of setup for future books. If you like those other big blue alien books, you’ll love this. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Not your everyday alien abduction story. Cece's kidnapped and next thing you know she's shanghaied into this mission and crashes onto the desert planet where things just go from bad to worse. Until she gets rescued by Buroudei. It's clear that they have chemistry and that Buroudei knows that she's his mate, but the struggle to comunicate at first is almost comical, or even tragic. When they do finally begin to be able to communicate and understand the bond between them is touching. This is the f Not your everyday alien abduction story. I’m not gonna lie, this book missed the mark for me. It was an enjoyable, quick read with some decent banter, but I found it lacking. In my opinion the plot and characters were just ok. Cece was your typical earth girl confused and trying to communicate with her alien man, and Buroudei was your typical alien warrior just tryna get with his mate. Not bad, but also not very original. This was my first alien smutty read and I’m honestly hooked. I didn’t expect to love this as much as I did. Cece and boroudeis story and watching them try and understand each other through the language barrier was so dang good. The sexual tension between both characters and steam was a good 3.5/5. She also claimed at one point she was studying him for science 😏 sure babe. There’s a few sexy scenes through this all consensual and we so good. The fact that he had three tongues 🥵. I just couldn’t. The world building in this novel was not great. It was fine once the heroine was on the alien world, but the heroine comes from contemporary Earth, with the technology therewith, and yet the governments of the world supposedly have space ships capable of faster than light intergalactic space flight? It makes absolutely zero world building sense. The heroines needed to come from a far future Earth capable of space flight, or they needed to be abducted by aliens. This is incredibl I just couldn’t. I really loved this. It was a quick read, fated mates, alien romance, breeding book. Cece is a Canadian kidnapped by the US government in a cooperative international experiment to see if they can survive on the planet, interact with the natives and discover the mysterious energy source that powers the planet. They’re dropped on the planet with few resources and it’s rocky to say the least. Buroudi is her fated mate, swoon worthy, obsessed, protective and loving. Women getting picked up off the streets. Finding themselves in a spacecraft headed to another planet. Crash landing and being attacked by spidery bugs. There was plenty of action, strange monsters, language barriers, fighting, making the best of a situation that they have no control over. Will they all find their mates with the natives? Interesting concept. Starting over with no advance technology. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Big fan of this book for so many reasons! The plot is gripping from the first page and I love the world building done for this. I cannot wait to read future books from this author. It’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s funny, and the characters and relationships really balance the books more action/adventure elements! Would recommend for any sci-fi romance fans or anyone who’s curious about the genre, like I was!

I really enjoyed this one! I am such a fan of two people falling in love from extremely different cultures, and with language differences too!!! Aaaaa I loved Cece and Buroudei so much - he was such a grumpy guy who was instantly INSTANTLY in love. I really loved that whilst he was immediately into her he backed off when she needed space too. WHEW THAT COULD HAVE GONE WRONG. I love the world building (DRAGON CUPID GOD) and I can’t wait for the other books in this series!!

Can not wait for the next one in this series I loved that this was Earth's leaders that were kinda the "bad guys" in this abduction story. Was wonderful world building and character development throughout the book. I enjoyed that these aliens and humans had to find ways to communicate with one another instead of the usual translator. The first book in the Fated Mates of the Sea Sand Warlords series, a great start to this new series. Human Cece and alien Buroudei's story of drama, danger, suspense, twists, turns, and romance. 3.5 stars This takes the format Ruby Dixon made popular and adds a premise that goes beyond the now stereotypical “human women kidnapped for sale to aliens”. The comedic timing of what happens upon landing is chef’s kiss. Major tropes: * no shared language * fated mates, but one is unaware * fragile human, strong alien

Alien Tyrant was a good story to read. I don't know why but I love it when two such different cultures meet and have to figure out a way to communicate. The misadventures tires through misunderstandings and curiosity are often numerous and heart reaching at the same time. Alien Tyrant was a good story to read. Most roms, especially of the alien variety or Fated Mate genre, follow a set formula but what really makes a story special is how the author follows that formula. Ursa did an amazing job pulling me right. Of course we follow the set parameters of abduction and forced space travel, each female wont be 'missed' or 'miss' anyone. But Ursa gives us a lot of unique twists to the set up of her story telling. Specifically how the main characters work around their initial language barrier to how Ursa chose to overcome it were truly unique, in fact this whole story is really unique. My favorite parts are how the main love interests initially communicate with each other. I love that our first MC is a linguist but her focus is on pop culture and essentially communicating via memes and GIFs like we do giving Cece an edge for picking up cues of meaning before learning the language. The rather inventive way Cece is given the ability to finally speak with her warrior was refreshing in a genre of more common devices. I am eager to read the rest of this series as the tales unfold and I can imagine Ursa's storytelling will only get even better. Count me a fan!
