i really, really enjoyed the first book in this series earlier this year, so the sequel being released only months later is a massive win. however, when i read the synopsis, i was worried. i did not like regan. shes portrayed pretty negatively in the first book, so i really had no interest in her as a MC. but its SY, so theres no way i would miss this. and i have to say, fans of the single dad trope will drool over this. its not my personal favourite, but i cant lie. its done really well and i me i really, really enjoyed the first book in this series earlier this year, so the sequel being released only months later is a massive win. however, when i read the synopsis, i was worried. i did not like regan. shes portrayed pretty negatively in the first book, so i really had no interest in her as a MC. but its SY, so theres no way i would miss this. and i have to say, fans of the single dad trope will drool over this. its not my personal favourite, but i cant lie. its done really well and i melted during every single interaction between thane and his two kiddos. and dare i admit that i actually like regan? she has her issues, but no character is perfect. she is genuine, so that helped me warm up to her. and i think the story overall has a good balance between personal/character growth, the romance and chemistry, and the little drizzle of suspense. but as much as i love SYs stories, it drives me up a wall that she STILL hasnt done any research about the process of americans living the UK. her MCs are always american and they always come to the UK, so the fact that she still doesnt care to get it right really annoys me. i have harped about this enough times that she should know by know that americans can only stay on a passport for 3 months, not 6. plot hole #1. they legally cannot work or make any money on a passport. plot hole #2. they can only apply for a visa on US soil. plot hole #3. in any other book, these mistakes wouldnt bother me. but its a repeat offence for SY and her plots always depend on them, so i am once again rolling my eyes. sigh. but my own personal rant aside, this is a really strong sequel and great addition to the series! ↠ 4 stars

Happy pub day! "I'm happy wherever I am, as long as I'm there with you." It was so nice that these two books are being published only a few months apart, although the long wait until Arro and Mac's book will be excruciating. Thane and Regan's book is somewhat set up from the ending of book one, almost on a cliffhanger but not quite, and I was ready to delve deep into the romance, but also into the resolution between the conflict between Robyn and Regan and finding out what has kept Regan MIA for the past 18 months. If you like: ✔️ Age Gap Romance ✔️ Forbidden Romance (Nanny/Employer) ✔️ Breathtaking Scottish Setting ✔️ Adorable Kids ✔️ A Tinge of Mystery/Suspense ✔️ Strong Family Bonds ...then you need this book in your life. While There with You can *technically* be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading Here With Me first. If you're planning on reading the first book, book 2 does spoil the overarching plot from book one, so proceed at your own risk. Samantha Young knows how to create the perfect balance of slow burning steam and meaningful emotional development, so you don't want to sleep on this series! *Many thanks to Valentine PR for my review copy.

Her sister's soon to be brother in law Thane Adair is in need of a nanny housekeeper for his two young children, and she needs a job. She has to make a great first impression and make her sister proud. Robyn has always been her hero and favorite person. Responsible and tough, where she was the impulsive, rebellious, extrovert of the two. Thane Adair is a gorgeous, wealthy widowed father trying to hold it all together. He adores his children, but lately is overwhelmed doing everything on his own. He finds assistance in the form of a beautiful American who bonds instantly with his kids. Soon she's gotten under his skin, and he can't quit thinking of her. He needs to keep things professional and keep his distance, but their connection continues to grow. Regan's growing crush on her boss is inconvenient and inappropriate. She knows he's off limits, but her attraction to the sexy single dad is out of control. The rugged, bearded lumberjack/Viking vibe he has going on is clearly working its magic on her. Then watching him with his children completely melts her heart. She's in over her head as lines get blurred and everything between them turns extremely complicated. I'm happy to report that not only did I get that, I loved her even more than I did Robyn, which I didn't think was even possible. I highly recommend reading this series in order to truly experience the full effect of the story and all of the secondary characters. And while I can tell you that I really enjoyed Here With Me, I loved this one even more. His nanny. His brother’s soon-to-be sister-in-law. His employee, thirteen years his junior. That up there is basically a summary of all of my favorite things. Forbidden romance, age gap, brooding grumpy alpha and sunshine heroine. GAH. Give it to me. Regan was relatable the second you meet her on the pages. She has a sunny and fluffy shell, but beneath that fake exterior is a bit of a damaged soul. My heart hurt for her. And even though I wanted to judge her for leaving her sister at a time she needed her the most, I also understood it from her perspective. Regan shows up unannounced, hoping to mend fences with her sister. Falling in love with the absolutely adorable kids of her sister's fiancé's brother give her the opportunity to stay. She has to do some convincing to Thane to talk him into being the nanny. Thane is desperate for a nanny but also hesitant to take on who he originally thought is Robyn's flighty sister. But his kids absolutely adore her, he's desperate and has no time to waste, so an arrangement is made. The sparks between these two were immediate. And while Regan has no problem going after what she wants, Thane fights it with everything he's got. His way of fighting it make him be a brooding, intolerable a-hole, and I ate it right up. I loved the push and pull dynamic between them. I loved watching Thane screw up over and over, Regan give him the cold shoulder, and him trying to get into her good graces again. I loved Thane's adorable children, who were my favorite secondary characters. But most of all, I loved watching the chemistry between Thane and Regan get too incendiary to fight off. Go wait for me in the annex,” he demanded. Her eyes widened slightly. “Clothes off. Keep your underwear on because I want to take it off. And lights on so I can see you. When I get there, I expect you on the bed with your legs spread.” There was a bit of a suspense element to this book, which I also enjoyed, though it was a touch predictable. But the romance was so delicious and the main characters were so good, that I just couldn't find it in me to care. I'm so gone for this series, it's not even funny. It just keeps getting better and better with each book and I can't wait to see what the next one brings. ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest review Find me on:

Samantha Young’s There With You is an absolute cracker brimming with intense emotions and unbridled passion so much that I felt that the sexy chemistry between the central characters was just leaping out of the pages. First off, I want to thank Samantha Young for making Reagan a lover of historical romances and justifying her love for it, and secondly, for giving her the strength to fight off the stalker and not wait for a hero rescue. YES, There With You is perfectly good to be read as a stand-alone but I would advise you to read from the beginning as the story is about the ADAIR family and there is a strong presence of almost all the family members in the story. So now, I just need to get my hands on book #1 Here With Me ASAP. Thane and his two adorable munchkins are easy to love. Eilidh is the mischievous entertainer while Lewis is the serious and fierce brother. One couldn't ask for anything more from this novel: a widowed handsome hunk with children and the forced proximity of a sexy nanny. The loss of their mother and the events in the first book had some effects on the children’s lives and Thane finds it difficult to trust his children to another person. In walks, Reagan wanting to stay on at the estate to mend the differences with her sister Robyn and finally be responsible for her actions. The slow-burning chemistry was sizzling between the leads and the author is simply exceptional in creating some beautiful and tender moments between them whilst playing the happy family. And naturally, the sex scenes causing all that increase in heartbeats and flaming cheeks. SIGH! There is also the angst and worry what with Thane having trust issues, and not wanting to clip young Reagan’s wings even before she flies but, of course, there’s only so much ignoring love and desire as much as a steamroller rolling down the hill. The suspense and the tensions surrounding the issue of the stalker were not that acute as I had expected but the fact that Reagan uses her own skills to save herself was laudable. Scotland has never sounded so alluring, the author’s writing imbued with a sense of calm and serenity with the description of the beautiful locales. The trace of humor that runs thru the banter between Reagan and Thane was thoroughly enjoyable, Reagan having the knack of saying things that inadvertently cause laughter. Adair family has left their mark on my heart and I would be immensely happy to read all the books in this series. Swooning, mooning 4.5 stars Many thanks to Valentine PR and Literary Management and the author for a chance to read and review this book. All opinions are expressed voluntarily. ARC provided via Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review. I knew I had a jewel in my hands as soon as I started the Adair Family series from Samantha Young earlier this year. Samantha is one of my top favorite authors, she stole my heart with her Dublin Street series and I believe she will do the same with this one. I am looooooooving this new crew of characters and Thane and Regan were no exception. I actually had a few reservations regarding Regan, she seemed so very different in Here with Me, but I actually loved her so much. This couple is one of those you weren't expecting to connect with and then, the complete opposite happened. So, There with You is the second installment in Young's Adair Family series and it focuses on Thane Adair's story, the second oldest sibling in the family. Thane lost his wife a few years ago, he is now focused on his two adorable children and getting back to work. He does have a problem. He needs a nanny. Enter Regan Penhaligon. She is Robyn's "wild" younger sister, a woman looking to mend her relationship with her sister after many mistakes. But Regan is hiding behind a mask and those layers start to peel when she arrives in Ardnoch. She becomes Eilidh and Lewis' nanny and she and Thane find themselves fighting against a very strong chemistry. Will these two opposites find happiness together or is it just no-strings-attached sex? Too much trouble? That was an understatement. Regan was trouble. But only because he wanted her. Like really, really was seriously lusting after her. I am so happy with how Samantha developed There with You. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did! As I said earlier, Regan seemed like such a different character in the first installment and I did not like her much. But she actually is a very vulnerable and charming young woman, hiding her fears behind a mask that starts to peel when she reconciles with her sister. Also, Regan is very good with kids and all the scenes with the children are cuteness overload. I am a sucker for single parent/nanny love stories! Also it looks like age-gap is a running theme too (which I am not complaining about!). “This is madness.” “Then let’s just be mad,” she whispered back before pulling his head that last inch down to her mouth. Thane is such a wonderful hero too. He adores his children, he is very focused on them but he is a bit afraid of starting a new relationship. That especially is enhanced when he finds himself extremely attracted to his children's nanny. He doesn't want to act on it and he keeps hurting Regan in the process. Regan falls for him very fast and, even though she is scared to get hurt, they start a passionate and forbidden affair. But what happens when that starts to affect the family? And what happens when the past keeps screwing things up for the Adairs and the Penhaligon sisters? And what happens when passion turns into love? You have to read this novel to find out! But it's all very much worth it in the end, trust me. I have everything I need when I’m with you. Therefore, I am rating There with You with 5 STARS because I believe Samantha Young has created a whole new world that many romance lovers will absolutely adore. These characters have already found a place in my heart and I am sure they will steal many others! Regan, Thane and the children finally have the HEA they deserved and what started as a secret and intense affair ends up with two soul mates finding true love and happiness. I seriously cannot wait to read more in the series and I am so excited for the next story. Highly recommend reading this one! CHECK OUT MY BLOG HERE:

5 stars! I am so in love with this book! A slow-burning, emotional and chemistry-filled age-gap romance between a widowed single father and his younger nanny, this story completely swept me away. This is the second book of the Adair Family series. You could read it as a standalone, but there’s a lot of character crossover and it does follow on really nicely from the first book, Here With Me, which is also a 5-star read, so don’t miss out on that one! We know a little bit about Regan from the first 5 stars! We know a little bit about Regan from the first book. She is the younger sister of Here With Me heroine, Robyn, and even though we didn’t actually see Regan until the final page of that book, she was set up as a selfish and irresponsible wild child travelling the world and pretty much ignoring her family. Now, she has made it to the Scottish Highlands, and Ardnoch Estate, to reunite with her sister, and let me tell you, nothing is as it seems. From pretty much the first moment we see her, we learn that there is so much more to Regan than we have been led to believe, and the happy, perky front she puts on in front of others is just that – a front. She is complex and troubled, and she is determined to stay in town and make amends with her beloved sister, and I adored getting to know her. Thane is the brother of Lachlan Adair (hero from Here With Me). He is the widowed father of two small children, and he’s in desperate need of a nanny. Though he’s initially wary of Robyn’s flighty younger sister, his children form an instant bond with her, and when she begs him for the chance to work for him, he agrees to employ her for the duration of her stay. So Regan moves into a guest house on Thane’s property, and becomes his nanny/housekeeper. She’s great at her job and is instantly swept up into the family, and she thrives on the stability, comfort and friendship that she finds in Thane’s home. And as Thane and Regan get to know each other, attraction blooms. OMG, I loved the set-up for this book, and I love Thane and Regan so much. They’ve both been through really hard times, and though they are at different stages of their life (he is 37, she’s 25), they have a lot in common, and they very quickly come to care for each other. And the chemistry is off-the-charts hot. I could feel every little interaction, every laugh, every smile, every meaningful glance and unintentional touch, and I fell so in love with these two, I was desperate to see how they would come together. It’s not an easy road for them. Their situation causes some boundary issues, and a sense of the forbidden, and the age gap is a big concern for Thane. There are stops and starts along the way, but it’s exciting rather than angsty, and through it all, Regan shines as a woman who knows what she wants, and who puts her heart out there for the man she feels so much for, and I loved that! “We can go around and around in circles for days, weeks…but it won’t chase this away, Thane. You want me. It isn’t convenient. It’s complicated…but it’s unavoidable.” The sexual tension is fantastic. I felt it all, and I was just as antsy as the two of them for something to actually happen. And when it all becomes too much, their passion for each other pretty much explodes, and oh holy God, it’s so freaking hot! “Go wait for me in the annex,” he demanded. Her eyes widened slightly. “Clothes off. Keep your underwear on because I want to take it off. And lights on so I can see you. When I get there, I expect you on the bed with your legs spread.” Thane is a bit of a demon in the bedroom – lucky Regan – and they begin a no-strings arrangements that rocks both of their world. It’s passionate and intense, playful and sweet, and I could see them falling harder and harder for each other. But they keep what’s between them just for them, and (in practice at least) they don’t stray away from their original agreement, staying ‘just friends’… until their feelings for each other prove too complicated to navigate. “I’m so in love with you, it scares me.” I love these characters! Regan with her huge heart, desperate to find her place, and semi-serious Thane, who lives for his children and is still struggling with so many conflicted feelings after the death of his wife. Both so relatable, they have flaws, but they are realistic flaws, and I love how they were there to encourage and support each other through everything that they go through. They tease, they laugh, they banter, and their passion for each other is unreal. Regan and Thane are so gorgeous together, and I could not get enough of them. There is some drama in this one, but it’s well-written, understandable, and ties into the story beautifully. Regan and Thane have both been through a lot, they both have secrets, and threats from the past emerge that put their family in danger. And when they should be pulling together, doubts and insecurities will threaten everything that they’ve found. It’s intense and emotional, and I was so invested that I couldn’t put this book down, and read to the early hours of the morning to see how it was all going to be resolved. And was I satisfied? Hell yes, I was! The ending brings the feels and wraps the story up beautifully, with an epilogue that left me grinning madly. “I’m happy where I am, as long as I’m there with you.” Obviously this is a romance book, and it’s such a gorgeous love story, but it’s also a story of family, and I adored the way Young wrote Thane’s family. Little Lewis and Eilidh are absolutely adorable, and sensational characters that bring so much to the story. The love for their Dad, and for Regan, is so beautiful, and the way that Thane and Regan adore the children is just gorgeous. Too often in this kind of book the kids are pushed to the side, but Thane is a family man, and this is a realistic reflection of family life. The children, and Thane and Regan’s interactions with them, are such an important part of the story, and I love what a huge part they played. We also get to see lots of the rest of the Adair family, which I loved! Their relationships are not always easy, but the dynamics are fantastic, and I loved seeing the interactions between them all. I loved the special bonds between Robyn and Regan, and Thane and Lachlan, and we get to see mysterious brother, Brodan with a hint of his future romance (I’m here for that!). And OMG, with all of that sexual tension brewing I cannot WAIT for Mac and Arrochar’s book up next! I’m slightly obsessed with this family, and this series, and I cannot wait for more. Another amazing read from Samantha Young, I absolutely loved it – 5 stars! An Advanced Reader Copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Still, as I’m sure everyone who read Here with Me wants to know is… where were you? How could you? Those two questions plagued my mind. I am so happy with this book and couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion for Robyn and Regan. Regan more than redeems herself but you 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 read to find out her reasons. As Regan visits Scotland to desperately repair the broken relationship with her older sister and best friend Robyn Penhaligon who now lives with her fiancé Lachlan Adair in the picturesque Scottish Highlands, she meets Lachlan’s older brother, single dad, Thane Adair. Thane lost his wife and now raises his two young children alone but nearby his loving family. Lachlan runs his family’s estate that is now a getaway for Hollywood elite. As Regan is navigating her new surroundings she runs into Thane and his lovable little kiddies as they live right next door. Regan quickly takes a liking to the children and soon becomes their live-in nanny. In true slow burn and angsty form, Regan and Thane fight their feelings for each other. The lust burns from both sides however the older Thane, 38 decides Regan is much too young, wild, and free to be with him. Regan is 25 and has traveled the world. Still, she knows what she wants. Regan and Thane both have to grow in different ways. Letting go of past trauma is never easy. We find out several surprises that were unexpected. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂 has romantic suspense elements, emotional scenes, and beautiful touching moments! The bond between Regan and Thane’s children is beautiful to read. Thane’s children are a large part of this story. I highly recommend 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂 as I could not put it down once I started! While the suspense in There With You felt gentler than book one, it was no less gripping. There was something very tangible about Thane and Regan's story. With a nanny(ish) trope and the most engaging family, this story had me struggling to put my kindle down for the 24 hours that I read it. Thane could be an a**e but he had valid reasons and Regan was so misunderstood; I really enjoyed people realising her character just by being around her for a while. "These Adair men...emotionally constipated, I tell you." "So what are we? The laxative?" The chemistry between these two was so believable and had all the feels, as did the reluctant emotional connection. On top of that, I have been reflecting on the thoroughness of plot points, large and small in many of Samantha Young's books and There With You was a great example of this. I was never once left feeling something was loose ended, nor were things neatly tied; she hits a great balance. Sign me up for more Adair, I want more, I need more and I will definitely re-read this series. Oh, and I read this book in Gairloch on the NW coast of the highlands...pretty perfect all round. It’s frustrating to read and also sad because someone’s always being punished by them over things the Adair’s don’t even understand. - Eilidh’s monster voice made the whole book.

This was a fast paced and gripping story that gave me all the feels. Thane Adair hires Regan to be a nanny to his children during her stay in Scotland. Sparks fly and tensions rise when people from both their pasts threaten the family and their chance at a happily ever after. There With You by Samantha Young is the second book in the Adair family series by Samantha Young. Although it can be read as a standalone, it is more enjoyable if you have read the first book. I hated Regan when she was introduced in book 1 and I was nervous to read her story. But through the course of the book, Regan shows the readers that the labels that have been associated with her for so long are unjustified. We see a wonderful sister relationship between Robyn and Regan. Regan is her own brand of badass and her strength shines through as the story progresses. Regan’s character development was the most satisfying I've read in a while. At the end of the book, I had a newfound appreciation for this character. Thane is a difficult character to talk about. He is a loving and caring father and an overall amazingly sexy guy. I loved the explosive chemistry between these two and I do understand his doubts and guilt regarding the relationship. But the emotional trauma that he put Regan through seemed uncalled for and made me hate him just a little bit. The element of suspense in this story does not have the same edge of your seat, whodunit quality as in Here With Me. The tension arises due to troubling elements from Regan and Thane’s individual pasts. Nonetheless ,Samantha Young makes this story unputdownable with its angst filled relationship between the MCs and the wonderful, if sometimes too perfect, kids and their adorable antics. This story is also particularly angst filled and I loved every second of it. I hurt along with Regan when she initially received a cold treatment from everybody, I raged along with her for the misconceived notions that everybody had about her, I cried right along with her when she thought she loved a man who didn't even trust her, much less love her back and I physically hurt when she finally opened up about her past. Lachlan and Robyn are wonderful side characters and support systems in this story. They contribute well to the plot and I loved catching glimpses of them and all the other characters in Ardnoch. Although the first book is my favorite in this series so far, There With You is a heartwarming experience with Samantha Young’s brand of angst, slow burn, emotion, passion and danger. Samantha Young offers readers the newest entry in her Adair Family series, a wonderful romance with a great mix of suspense, great dialogue, well developed characters, and an angsty romance that had me hooked from the start. Fearing her sister might reject her, Regan arrives at the Ardnoch Estate without notice intending to stay for however long is necessary, but needs a job. Luckily her sister’s soon to be brother-in-law needs a nanny housekeeper and she’s the perfect candidate. Reluctant to hire her but seeing how well she bonds with his two kids, widower Thane Adair settles into a new routing with the beautiful woman thirteen years his junior. She’s charmed everyone with her sweet and kind disposition and entranced Thane, but can he trust her enough for them to have a future? Once again, Samantha Young takes us to the magnificent Scotish Highlands where you’ll enjoyed an emotional tale expertly balanced with delicious tension, a dash of thrilling suspense, beautiful family dynamics that had me glued to my eReader and wanting more. Thane was such an incredible father I loved how he was with his children who are adorable. Regan is incredibly kind and loving. It’s impossible not to fall for her. Although there’s an age gap between him and Regan, they both quickly and naturally find common ground and reason to care for one another. Their chemistry is sizzling but their journey is not an easy one. There’s a sense of illicitness because of the age gap, the fact that he’s her boss and will soon be somewhat related. They also have some baggage from their pasts they have to overcome. Thane and Regan’s story is lovely and it was enriched by their friends and family who rallied around them. I loved having the rest of the Adair family around and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. There With You is book #2 of the Adair Family series by Samantha Young. We were excited to get stuck into Thane Adair’s story; the stoic, grumpy, haunted single dad who’d experienced a great tragedy. We knew his story would be a sad tale and we also knew it would take quite the woman to get underneath that hard exterior where his wounded heart lays. There With You was sweet, emotional, funny, and had that wonderful feel-good factor as well as moments of exhilarating drama-filled suspense. We are so in love with this series. The stories are compelling, the scenery wonderful and so descriptive we feel as though we’re in the Scottish Highlands, such is the vivid and picturesque imagery written by Samantha Young. The characters are brilliant and relatable, you cannot help falling in love with them. Whilst There With You can be read as a standalone, we highly recommend reading the series in its entirety. It’s not only a great series, but you’ll also forge a deep connection with all the characters and feel a part of the Adair family. The depth of the characters and their individual backgrounds cements an all-encompassing love and personal interest. You do not want to miss out on that! ‘This…this with Thane, though, I’d remember forever. I wasn’t vulnerable at all. I was relieved. That I’d found him. This beautiful, kind, funny, sexy, sometimes irritating, emotionally suppressed Scotsman whose love for his children only made me adore him more.’ Thane Adair is literally bowled over by the younger and magnificent Regan Penhaligon; the wayward and impulsive sister of Robyn who surprisingly turns up to make amends. Resolving her relationship with her sister is however not the only reason Regan has turned up, she’s also running into hiding from a psycho stalker. There’s almost an immediate chemistry between Thane and Regan, which is only intensified when she becomes the live-in nanny for his gorgeous kiddies. Their romance was drama-filled, angsty and so swoony and hot. Their banter was fabulous, the interactions with Thane’s children, adorable. Knowing what we did about Regan from the previous book, we were completely surprised by her character, and as we got to know her, we fell in love with her spirit, her quiet lioness personality as well as her loyalty and fierce love. Regarding, Thane, well it’s always the quiet ones, right?! Yummy-luscious doesn’t begin to cover it *wink wink*. Talk about sexual chemistry! Without question, this series is just getting better and better. Bring on the next Adair book, we’re more than ready for it, and cannot wait! “You’re my woman and I’m your man, and fuck what anyone else has to say about it.” Available to purchase below Ebook Paperback Come and say hi, at: ✲ TotallyBookedBlog ✲ TBB on Facebook ✲ TBB on Instagram ✲ TBB on Twitter ✲ TBB on Pinterest

This one is not as good as the first book. I need more external plot than the whole insecurities plot. Hell, halfway through the book, I was wishing that the hero killed the wife in her sleep. There was something truly captivating and powerful about their romance. Well, I hate to admit it but...I was right. Don't get me wrong, I sill liked the romance between Thane and Regan but I didn't have that same attachment to them and had some issues with their romance (specifically Thane's character). I am fully supportive of a slow burn/angsty romance and they are some of my favourite romances to read; however, the amount of mixed signals and the degree of 'hot and cold' Thane threw at Regan bothered me. I know the reasoning behind it but the frequency of how back and forth he was was whiplash worthy. Originally I really liked his character but I think some of his actions towards Regan eventually made him irredeemable for me. Looking past some of my criticisms, this was a really atmospheric read in respect to being located in Scotland. I hope this series continues for the rest of the Adair family because I'm really interested in each of their individual stories and I loved the cameos that each of them had in this novel. ***Thank you to Valentine PR for sending me this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review***

This slow burn romance blew me away with its intense chemistry, page turning storyline that is filled with sweet moments, heart stopping passion, suspenseful atmosphere and more! Samantha Young writes Ah-mazing stories and this beauty, set in Scotland (sigh 😍), is another magical hit!

Regan is the younger sister of Robyn. It’s been a while since Regan dropped out of her sister’s life and it was at a time when Robyn desperately needed her sister to be there for her. Regan is wracked with guilt and really wants to make amends, she has missed her connection with her sister. She is also wanting to put distance between someone from her personal life and Scotland seems as far away as she can be. ‘It wasn’t easy being a coward and even more difficult when your big sister was fear Regan is the younger sister of Robyn. ‘It wasn’t easy being a coward and even more difficult when your big sister was fearless.’ Robyn is sceptical at first, she knows how flighty her sister can be but she is just so damn happy to have her back in her life that she lets her doubts rest for now. Regan is blown away by how incredible Ardnoch Castle is and is envious when she sees how in love Robyn and Lachlan are, he adores her and is very open in his affection for her. When Regan meets Lachlan’s extended family, she instantly clicks with his nephew Lewis and niece Eilidh. Their father, Thane, is a tougher nut to crack. Thane was widowed not long after his daughter Eilidh was born and has been raising his gorgeous kids alone since then. When he sees how incredible Regan is with his children and considers her past experience as a nanny, he reluctantly decides to give her the benefit of the doubt. She is only in Scotland for six months and it really helps him out of the bind he is in for now. Regan is a natural with the children and they quickly form a close bond. Thane loves coming home to a cooked meal and happy children every day. He loves how settled they are and how Regan has managed to slot right into their daily lives. Okay, so there is more going on than the cute kiddos…. Thane is freaking hot - in that gruff, bearded Scotsman way of his. Regan finds herself fantasizing about him and completely perving on him all the time. Thane has definitely noticed how gorgeous Regan is but is determined to not cross that line. He won’t risk the happiness of his kids by having a fling with the nanny, he just needs to get his flirting under control. ‘His gut tightened with need as he took in the sight of the sleeping beauty on his sofa. She looked sleepy and comfortable… And sexy as hell. Reaching for the throw over the back of the couch, he brought it down over her, careful not to touch her. She was too young for him.’ There is also an element of danger in this story, there are two plot lines that play an intricate role in the suspenseful, page turning parts that kept me on alert. When that danger comes knocking it is a gamer changer for Thane & Regan, his innate sense to protect the people he cares the most for takes over. The line he drew in the sand gets swept away and he gives into what they both want. They quickly settle into a new routine that benefits them both, Thane is mindful of the time limit so is careful not to get too attached. ‘Who said it had to be anything serious? We want each other, and we’re both adults. Why can’t we just satisfy those urges without making a big deal out of it?’ I really felt bad for Regan at times, she goes on a very emotional journey becoming more self aware and making things right with the people in her life. She just needs someone to believe in her and not in the narrative that her mother has perpetuated her whole life. Thane really needs to stop being such an arse and decides what he wants. He is so in his head all the time, assuming what Regan wants rather than letting his heart lead him to what he wants. ‘Do you know what it’s like to love someone this much and have them only want this one thing from you?’ This story really does pack an emotional punch to the chest, if you enjoy reading about single dads, age gap romance, nail biting suspense, hot sexy times, cute as a button kids and a side serving of angst – then this definitely has all those wonderful elements to give you all those tingling ‘book feels’ to satisfy your cravings 😊 There is so much cuteness and love in this story, right from the start I was pulled into this family and made myself right at home in the guestroom 😊 I was so looking forward to reading Regan’s story, the way she appeared at the end of Here With You had my interest piqued and Samantha definitely delivered up a wonderful, page turning read!

I was captivated from the very first page and was left hanging on each and every word. I connected with Regan right away. On the surface, she appears young and flighty, but once you get to know her, you realize that there is so much more to her than meets the eyes. Regan has amazing strength, determination, a huge heart, and is passionate about the things that make her happy. Thane was the broody single father next door. Here With Me has been one of my top reads of 2021 and after all the hoopla that went down at the end, I could not wait to get my grabby hands on all things THANE!! Like Regan, the single dad trope is one of my very favorites. And combine that with said single dad hooking up with the nanny in a secret lovers trope and I'm a goner!! "Regan was trouble. But only because he wanted her. Like really, really was seriously lusting after her. His nanny. His brother’s soon-to-be sister-in-law. His employee, thirteen years his junior. Never again, he vowed." Going into this book, I really didn't know how I was going to feel about Regan, as she came across as a very immature, spoiled, and selfish little sister in the last book. However, I thought the author did a great job of leading the reader through Regan's characterization and her issues, and watching her work through these issues. I did feel that because of this, the love story doesn't REALLY come alive until the second half of the book. And also, while I understood that this page time was needed for the character and the story, I found myself getting kind of bored a few times during the first half of the book. Regan has just arrived in Scotland to try to patch things up with her sister. Thane is one of Lachlan's brothers, and the one he is closest to. He is a widower with two small (adorable!!) children. While Regan is struggling to find temporary employment in the small town of Ardnoch, Thane is desperately searching for a live-in nanny. It helps that Thane's children adore Regan, so before long, she is offered the position of live-in nanny to Lewis and Eilidh. From there, the push and pull, longing, and sexual tension between these two is downright explosive. Regan wants to stop acting impulsively. Thane wants to do right by his children and do the honorable thing. But, before long, all that shit goes out the window! "This is madness." "The let's just be mad." Like I said earlier, the love story comes alive during the second half of this book and I could not put it down once it did. As is becoming a theme in this series too, there is a suspense storyline that I really enjoyed and kept me guessing up until the end. I totally "got" and felt the turmoil between Thane and Regan. The reasons that kept them apart. They were very real and true to the characters and not just manufactured as is so often seen with romance novels. I freaking loved Regan in the end and how she stood up for the person she wanted to be and the things she wanted. "Do you know?" Regan asked, half yelling, half crying. "Do you know what it's like to love someone this much and have them only want this one thing from you?" Such a fantastic and satisfying ending. (Sigh...) Did I love There With You as much as Here With Me? Not quite, but it was still a fantastic story that stood apart from the first book, and shows that this Adair Family series is going to be a solid one all the way through. And btw, I will be over here chomping at the bit until it's time for Always You! I am SO here for all things Arro and Mac, ALL THE THINGS!!!!! I can't wait! "Happy here?" "I'm happy wherever I am, as long as I'm there with you." Thank you to Valentine PR and the author who provided me with an advanced e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Can anyone say forbidden with a major side of age gap romance?? This story begins right where the previous book left off when Regan unexpectedly shows up at the Ardnoch estate looking for her sister Robyn. She wants to make amends and clear things up between them. They are sisters that have a very strong bond and Regan knows she has wronged Robyn. I loved the family dynamic between them and the way they loved and trusted one another. Then there is Thane Adair. He has two young children that he does everything for. In fact, he has been pulling double duty. He lost his wife, but he doesn't want to sacrifice any time with his children or his job. But he really needs help. He needs a nanny. And Regan just happens to have experience and wants to stay in Scotland. Wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity to make everyone happy?? There With You is book 2 and is a standalone in the Adair Family Series. But I highly suggest reading the series in its entirety to get the feel of the family and the history of the characters. It's such a great series and the way Ms Young includes the history of the families, paints the picture of the Scottish Highlands and Scotland in general, makes you really feel a part of something deeper and rich. You'll feel like you are there and can envision yourself in the country living amongst these people. And while the first book was more romantic suspense, this book is more about the forbidden romance with a touch of mystery. Right from the get-go, Thane Adair is enamored with Robyn's younger sister, Regan. But can he trust her? She's come to Scotland under some dire circumstances and no one knows what to think about her sudden presence. But there's an immediate chemistry between the two. She adores his children and he cannot deny that she seems to fit in with the whole family. When she is hired as his live-in nanny, everything intensifies. She just has this aura around her that stands out. The children love her and that makes him more enamored with her. As the days go on, they find this electricity between them that they try to deny. While the romance is a very hot slow burn, it's filled with a fair share of drama and angst and is scorching hot! Their banter is on point and Regan can give as good as she gets, age gap be damned! But what I loved the most were her interactions with Thane’s children. They just love one another and it shows. Especially Lewis. There's a quiet connection there that just pulled at my heartstrings. I absolutely loved Regan with Thane's children and couldn't get enough. It surprised me after what little I got from the first book at what type of person Regan was. But she was a dang warrior. She loves fiercely and will protect those she loves, no matter the circumstances. You gotta love her spirit after everything she went through. "I'm in love with a man who sees me as something temporary, and it hurts like hell, but I'm not running away." With all that said, I have an issue. And my issue is that I have become a huge lover of single dad romances. The men that love their children fiercely, are a little bit grumpy with a hard exterior, but are protective and don't always know that they deserve happiness as well. Just give me all of those sexy dads! And Thane has that in spades. It just took him a tad too long to get what he had right in front of him. I could've smacked him a few times, but I loved his connection with Regan. They just had IT. Overall, I'm in love with this series and loved this book, but missed the higher level of romantic suspense we had with the first book. You definitely get some twists and mystery to this story, but not to the extent of Here With Me. Bring on more Adair family! I cannot wait! 4.5 stars

“You’re my woman and I’m your man, and fuck what anyone else has to say about it.” Ebook Paperback

What it lacks in twists and turns compared to the fist book in the series, this story makes up in angst, and the hero is a bossy alpha in the bedroom, so that alone was enough to have my heart racing.

My absolute favorite release of 2021!!!! Samantha Young is my author soulmate. I just adore absolutely everything she puts out. We all were introduced to Regan in Here with Me as Robyn's flaky little sister, but things aren't as they seem. As we've learned with Robyn, their mother is very good at manipulating the truth, and just as Robyn had to overcome her mother's scrutiny, so has Regan. I loved their sisterly bond and how engrained these two became throughout this story. I also loved Regan's development into trust worthy and reliable staple to the Adair family. Her relationship with Eilidh and Lewis is heartwarming. Not only do they get motherly affection, but they unconditionally trust and want her, something she hasn't felt in a long time. Thane. I'm sorry, but MOVE OVER Lachlan! His backstory of the betrayal and loss in his life gutted me, and how that keeps him from fulling giving himself to Regan was perfectly executed to create some major angst! Lover's of Hero by Sam are going to love Thane! Samantha Young does heartbreak like nobody's business! These two were fire and gasoline(or petrol). I didn't want to the book to end to extinguish their flames! I said it before, but I'll say it again, this is my favorite release of 2021. It was everything I didn't know I was looking for. An absolute masterpiece!

So soon Regan becomes the babysitter for Thane's children as a huge sexual attraction between them grows by the day. In the first book we got to know a little bit of Regan under her sister's eyes, so I found it interesting to meet the real Regan and see that she made some mistakes along the way but was trying to change. I thought she was a great character and I loved her relationship with the kids, it was lovely to see these three together. As for Thane, I found the character irritating until the end of the book, I can understand her fears but it was inerrant to see this bite and blow between him and Reagan until almost the end. The chemistry between them was immense, but at times I missed a greater connection between them beyond that. This book didn't have as much suspense as the previous one and I confess that I missed it here, here the conflicts were more dramatic and predictable. Aside from the kids, Thane and Regan together as a family provided cute, sweet and fun scenes in the book and were my favorite moments from the book. It was great to be able to review the couple from the previous book as well. The story of this family continues, and I look forward to seeing what the author has in store for the next book. I Received an unreleased copy of this book
