Simply Amazing Time-Traveling Cozy Mystery Box Set I absolutely adore this cozy mystery series, where an entire town and its citizens time travel and visit different times and places. Sometimes, the central mystery stems from where they land… but sometimes the residents get involved with the mysteries themselves, beyond just trying to solve them. The series has all the zaniness and quirky characters that make cozy mysteries so much fun… and even funny (as this one is). The series has all the zaniness and quirky characters that make cozy mysteries so much fun… and even funny (as this one is). I came a little late to the series, so I was delighted to see this collection of its first 9 books when it showed up at a book review site. A fantastic series to savor… or binge-read, whichever is your preference. If you love good cozies that are a little different than the norm, you’ll likely enjoy this series as much as I have Here are my two full reviews for books 7 and 8 in this collection, as they were when I read the books originally: Review of Campfire Catastrophes - What a Ride! I love a good cozy mystery, so I am surprised that I have not heard of this series before since this is the seventh installment. I have to say I've seen nothing quite like it, even though I am a fan of offbeat paranormal cozies and read a fair amount of zany cozies. This one is actually hard to categorize. We have time travel of an entire town to various locations and times, offbeat characters who are stranded when the town took off from their time and place, sci-fi elements with how this happened to the town, and more. I'm so thankful that the author gives a nice summary of the series concept before the novel itself starts so somebody like me, who is new to the series, can get an idea of the backstory without slowing down the actual story to do so. This is needed because the book just flat-out starts... and does not stop with the action, twists, and turns until the book ends. Quite a fantastic ride, and I will certainly be going back to check out the other books of this series. I love that this is a proper novel, not just a novella, because that gives a lot of space for the author to play with both character and plot and allows space for all the things that make a great mystery, like those beloved blind alleys and red herrings. If you love a quirky, offbeat, and really different cozy mystery, I urge you to check out this book or this series. Review of The Secret in the Sarcophagus - Another Fun Installment I've only recently discovered this series, and I absolutely adore the premise. The author is so clever to have come up with a concept that feels fresh but completely understandable. We're all familiar with time-travel stories, but this series not only has a single person time travel but an entire town and some of its surroundings! What I like, too, is that the residents of this town are very aware that they should not mess with the time-space continuum and alter history. There rarely seems to be that awareness in most time-travel books. And what a quirky, funny cast of characters it is. I appreciate the humor woven in with the historical and mystery aspects. In this installment, the town goes to ancient Egypt at the time of the pyramids when a pharaoh is being entombed. Certain members of the town can't help but be curious, and that's when things start to go sideways! The good folks of Keystone have to figure out what happened. The author had to do a fair amount of historical research, as that feels accurate. A great blend of history, time travel, and mystery. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review. My book blog: https://www.readingfanaticreviews.com

The series starts with a young woman having car trouble near a small town somewhere in the US. ? I'm sorry but why was there an epilogue after book 8? We never found out how the time machine was fixed. Then an epilogue! I can understand book 9 but its like the epilogue Story never happened. Did you think you weren't going to write any more books in the series? But that still doesn't explain how they fixed the machine or if they found the Nazi. I'm not happy with the story line but I enjoyed the books very much. Made me laugh out loud. ?
