Having read several of Mr. Wheeler's exciting books, I cannot believe having left this series out during that time! One exciting episode after the other throughout this compelling series of unending excitement! Certainly five stars worthy, as Virgil proves he is a man to be reckoned with throughout this compelling western masterpiece! He is assisted by a local Deputy Sheriff, last name Mulligan, who certainly proves to a worthy assistant! Very entertaining revelation of realistically renditions o Having read several of Mr. Wheeler's exciting books, I cannot believe having left this series out during that time! Certainly five stars worthy, as Virgil proves he is a man to be reckoned with throughout this compelling western masterpiece! He is assisted by a local Deputy Sheriff, last name Mulligan, who certainly proves to a worthy assistant! Very entertaining revelation of realistically renditions of how I, on many occasions, perceived our old American West was finally settled. Mr. Wheeler's exciting, and informative, storylines successfully portrays the wan the old wild West was initially tamed, when the outlaws, more often than not, ruled the roost! Too, the perfect selections of outstanding characters could not have been better portrayed, as they continuously fulfilled their assigned roles to perfection! Unbelievably intertaining from cover to cover! No problem recommending this compelling western masterpiece to everyone, even you non-western enthusiasts will find yourselves completely mesmerized by Virgil's unending adventures! There are no slow downs throughout the entire book, and you western addicted readers will find yourselves completely mesmerized from beginning to end! Great job by an exceptionally talented author!!!😃

Typical Frank Wheeler novel.... Average Joe from the last novel becomes hero in this one, and gets the girl that has a secret in her past. Lots of miscue's by all the characters and a bit of silliness in their actions. I agree with one of the other reviews that this novel had a lot more typo's and plot error's. But despite those I enjoyed this one as much as the other's. It would be nice for the author to come up with some twists in the future. Typical Frank Wheeler novel.... A Ranchers Grit This was a good read that seems like a nightmare that you can't get out of.Seriously graphic violence that makes you want to wake up throughout, but it all works out in the end. A Rancher's grit Enjoyed this book as I always do with one of yours. Didn't sound like the same sheriff. Frank was go get them when it was his family and girl friend. But when it was the same friend who helped him. He sure wasn't much help. A Rancher's grit Enjoyed this book as I always do with one of yours. Didn't sound like the same sheriff. Ever read a book where the good guy comes out the winner? Wheeler pulls off another success story where the good guy gets the girl and the arrogant jerk gets his die rewards. Just a fun little western story of life, love and larceny. Dig in folks.

Chock full There is so much written into this story that it is extremely difficult to put it down. You will have to force yourself to put it down.

Waiting for more This was good western read and I looked forward to the next but didn’t happen. Loved the book but hate feeling like there should have been more

A bit on the boring side. Way too wordy and redundant. Also the atrocious amount of typos and the lack of proofreading is in abundance. Just alright.
