Nonna swears it's fine. They’re safest here on Aradia. That's why she invited them to celebrate their eighteenth birthday with their mother. But it doesn't feel fine. Suddenly, the sleeping god's voice is getting stronger, whispering in the shadows and speaking in dreams. And there are many who are listening. 2.5. Ok, booorrringggg! I keep waiting for this series to start being the fun one I've read about it reviews, but I'm at the 3rd book and nothing happened (not what I wanted at least). So, no more. I give up. I'll stop with the series. It became annoying, especially the MC. Not sure exactly what happened, but suddenly, she is annoying and I don't like her anymore. Plus, the action feels a bit stretched, so eh. Do I recommend the series? Definitely the first book, but if you didn't like that one, no 2.5. Ok, booorrringggg! Not sure what to think about this Right off the bat, four stars is very generous. At time I wasn’t sure where the author was going with this story or why she chose to spend time with certain characters and/or introduce new ones. It’s like watching a 90s RV show where the main characters only interact with the neighbor because they need advice but we still don’t know if this neighbor has kids or how long they’ve been friends or why they never appear at any of the parties or gatherings that take pl Not sure what to think about this Right off the bat, four stars is very generous. Will I read the final book in this series? Yes, simply because I think the draw for me is the author’s twist on reinterpreting myths and historical figures to fit this supernatural narrative.

Looking for the next I really really enjoyed this series. I read books after books but I don’t often write reviews. But this one deserves it. Her flow was seamless and fully visual. I don’t even imagine what I would feel in book situations but I was there feeling her. I was with her the entire way. I’m in the middle of a training class and every moment there is a lull I am reading.

Intricate and Deep I love this series! Rita Hayworth is a fascinating character, growing in leaps and bounds as she discovers herself, and her strength and power. I love how, by the time we get to this book, the stories are beginning to come together. I really can’t wait for the next book.

Less enthralled than w/ first 2 books This third installment of the series is my least favorite. It involves a lot of soul searching, and not much enjoyment. There is a lot of strife and hurdles to climb as she tries to find herself. Her friends are now afraid of her. I have lost interest.I don’t think I’ll continue to read the rest.

This is like the worst breakup in existence Ava can’t get a break, Thoth is the epitome of the evil, vengeful ex boyfriend who won’t go the f*ck away. I just can’t imagine the ha I know she’d go through with Aurick being so hands off because of the crazy magical order. They are as ineffective as an entity because they are so corrupt. I will have to wait to see what is next.

This is so addictive You want something that is hard to put down? This is it! Even though I have no knowledge on Greek mythology I have found this so interesting, exciting and fun that I can't seem to get enough and want more! Loved the historical twists Mythology or history? Women have always been underestimated and most of the time we underestimate ourselves. I’m excited to discover how Ava will surprise herself in the next book. She is indeed a goddess.

Requires Your Full Attention This book became difficult to read because of it’s intensity and detail regarding the Greek gods. The reader has to process their knowledge of those gods to even begin to understand parts of the book. A challenging read to be sure.

Something else Some seriously strong motivaion to finish what she started, after figuring out who and what she was. I cannot wait to see what happens next! What a way to end the book!

Excellent historical references I loved the characters but was a little put off by the self pity, although it could have been exactly how a mom would feel. The historical information was great. It got a little repetitive but not so bad.

I slogged through this book hoping to get excited or interested at some point. I was not excited or interested. I won't be finishing the series. Sadly, it won't matter.
