I couldn't sleep tonight so I downloaded this book and listened to it in it's entirety. What a wonderful reassurance that things will be OK. We can learn to 'be not troubled' by turning our faith over to God, being people who are trustworthy and following through with what we agree to do (live with integrity), and remembering spiritual experiences without discounting or downplaying their significance. It is up to us to be spiritual beings and to serve others the way God would. If we keep an eterna I couldn't sleep tonight so I downloaded this book and listened to it in it's entirety. He took many of these concepts from his conference talks - which I probably thought were better than this book. That being said - he provided some details and other stories that were helpful and inspiring.

There is often a difference between what I want and what I need. Last year, in March when the world shut down, I found myself asking what sort of a future my child would have and have asked that question many times since. Life experience has taught me to highly recommend a thorough background check and deep research on any one, group, or org. that promises that. Even my grandparents who, from my perspective, have easy lives, don't. Their bodies don't function the way they used to, they live on a lower fixed income because they've lived longer than they planned on, and they've been hurt by a lot of people close to them and that's not even touching on COVID. Instead, I get what I need. Which is this book. It is somewhat a compilation of some talks, but there is a lot of different material too that adds to his spiritual pep talk. The format and design is lovely too. I think I've said it before, but they really are doing a great job at that(as a publisher).

This was an easy read, some of the stories I recognize from his past conference talks but they were still excellent points and obviously stayed in my memory. The timing of this book is good as it seems that more and more people are worrying about the last days. He approached this with a positive feeling. This book is a MUST READ/LISTEN. It is short, but filled with great doctrinal principles and content. If you are feeling down, overwhelmed, stressed, or scared about our current circumstances or the future, you need to hear the words of this book. They filled me with hope and encouragement. A great set of messages anchored in hope and faith and higher vision from Elder Rasband who I am admiring more and more for his steadiness and faith. I appreciate his counsel to watch who we associate with, follow counsel, and obey the commandments. His experiences and testimony of that which happened with all the 12 and the 1st Pres in Rome at the temple dedication is amazing. I wonder what is ahead for Elder Rasband. I loved seeing he and Elder Bednar testify in Rome. The work is true.

This book reads as if they published 6 General Conference talks (hence 1/2 of the reason for the 3 stars) by Elder Rasband. Elder Rasband read it himself (I listened to the audio book), and bless his heart, but his voice is very monotonous during the reading (hence the other 1/2 reason for my only 3 stars), so it didn't help make the "reading" easy to listen to. I enjoyed listening and being reminded of these things, but was glad it was a very short read. I felt I could have just listened to 6 of his General Conference talks (or anyu other apostle's) and would have been equally spiritually fed.

A wonderful book about how we can successfully face the trying and troubled times that we live in, written by Ronald Rasband, an apostle of Jesus Christ. Using the scriptures and his own experiences, he teaches us to recognize the ways the Lord guides us in this life, especially during turbulent times, and how we have been called "by divine design" to serve and help in this special time leading to the Lord's second coming. A beautifully inspiring book, and I was able to read it in one sitting. I loved this book. Maybe it's because of what is going on in the world and myself. This might be a compilation of talks he has given. I needed this book. Excellent. Definitely one I will keep. There are 6 chapters filled with spiritual guidance to help us in these latter days. So much wisdom. Elder Rasband didn't say anything necessarily new, just reiterated what we already know but may have forgotten and reminders on what we should be doing. A quick read and timely reminder that our lives are in the hands of God. This book is written by one of the apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He shares tips and reminders for living a life of faith and peace. The overall message is that living a life of obedience, serving others, and increasing personal spirituality will help us overcome the trials we face.

This was a reassuring read. A lot of the stories were familiar to me from talks given by Elder Rasband, but it's always good to review inspiring stories. I read this on Kindle, but I think it would be much more enjoyable in print though, because there are pretty nature pictures that would make the experience much nicer in print. A wonderful book of hope for great things to come. Elder Rasband reminds us that this is our time and with the help of our Father in Heaven all things are made possible. Rasband gently reminds us of the promises that our Heavenly Father has made to us if we follow him.

I can't say that he answered the question of be not troubled to my satisfaction. Everything he said was absolutely correct but I felt like I needed more. It left me yearning for the missing link. I agree with all of his points. Can't quite pinpoint what I was hopinh for. I can't say that he answered the question of be not troubled to my satisfaction. Simple and powerful reminders to be courageous, attend the Temple, find ways to serve others, and trust in God. Many of the stories I’ve heard before so it was more of an extended conference talk. Still many good points that provide comfort during tumultuous times.

Definitely worth reading during this time of uncertainty. It’s funny how often we are reminded to to “Be not troubled” because of the Lord’s plan. I know that a lot of people are scared but it’s great that the Lord will never forsake us as long as we trust in Him.
