The attraction and chemistry collides with such ease, exposing boundless emotions and infinite affections, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters, dialogue, interactions and electrified atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits adding depth and diversity, transforming into genuine outstanding personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels like you can just reach out and touch it. Remarkable job Lisa, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Can he be faithful Ralph was a gambler and a womanizer also a friend to the Prince Regent! His first wife I believe died of a broken heart! Ralph was tormented by guilt by absolved himself because he was young? So just skip the marriage vows? In this time period the word bet was not used like this if at all! This just should have been a novella way too long! There is always more than what you initially see of a persons exterior! When Frances got to see the real man behind Ralph's exterior I remained unimpressed! This name is not common for this period in England!

What a beautiful story so well written I couldn’t put it down once I started it Francis and her cousin made a bet she was to seduce the duke and marry him But faced with monetary worries her father informed her she would need to marry into wealth or use her Dowry Fate intervened and the dukes sister invited her to stay with them and so began her adventure of love intrigue and heartbreaking events along the way I just loved it x

Childhood betrothal! Betrothed before they were born, this year they must carry through and wed, but the Duke doesn’t like her, her mind is on gossip and the latest fashion! She brings her cousin, country raised, for her debut, when sh3 and the Duke meet there is an instant connection! What a mess and how to wiggle out of it!

A Bet to Wed the Duke As Frances learned her father was becoming broke she told her cousin she would wed the Duke. So heartwarming I cried at parts but she did win the Duke.

Twists and turns I truly enjoyed this book, a plan to be wed, an unwilling groom and enough twists in the story to keep it fast pace.
