Awkward and Incorrect in Places; Like Chapter Takeaways I have read multiple summaries by this company, and they continue to evolve. This is the first one I've seen, I think, that has a bulleted list of main takeaways at the end of each chapter. I like that addition; it's kind of like a summary of the chapter summary! Unfortunately, this summary fell victim to the trap I see often in summaries, constantly using the author's name (e.g., “Mr. So-and-So said…”) instead of just summarizing what the a Awkward and Incorrect in Places; Like Chapter Takeaways I have read multiple summaries by this company, and they continue to evolve. So-and-So said…”) instead of just summarizing what the author stated. This repetition certainly does get annoying after a while. I found the writing awkward at times, and in more than one place, an incorrect word was used (e.g., imbibed instead of imbued). Two parts of the book, one at the beginning and one at the end, seemed very similar. At the beginning, the summarizer gives a “summary overview,” which seems perhaps a little more subjective, and at the end, there's a brief discussion “about” the book. That ending page or so it seemed more like a summary overview than what they labeled as such. The summary did fulfill one summary function. It did help me decide whether or not to check out the original book. Other than that, though, this summary book does have faults, making it so I do not feel like I can recommend it wholeheartedly. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review. My book blog: https://www.readingfanaticreviews.com
