This was the third in the Alien Bride Lottery series. I liked it the best! We are introduced to Mia Jones who works at a fast-food diner while actually being a graduate of a prestigious Parisian cooking school. She has worked to try to extricate herself from an abusive marriage, but her husband works as a cop and her complaints get her beat up They also have a delightful little boy that she does her best to hide from his father's wrath. She has worked to try to extricate herself from an abusive marriage, but her husband works as a cop and her complaints get her beat up They also have a delightful little boy that she does her best to hide from his father's wrath. Mia has changed her name and run away several times. She also paid to have her identity chip replaced to eliminate her from the Bride lottery and keep her husband from finding her. Unfortunately, the Bride program called her name at a world wide drawing. Now what? She must make sure that she is not selected by a warrior and sent back to Earth where she will once again be forced to run away and assume a different name. Eldron Gendovi has long suspected that the Alveron Horde did not disappear, but that they were planning another attack, perhaps on Earth or even Station 21 where the brides go to fin potential warrior mates. Commander Gendovi is not interested in finding his mate, but the only way to stay on Station 21 and investigate is to sign up to be a groom. Every once in a while he would get a whiff of a delightful scent, of his mate. Bah, he had work to do. He was walking through the shuttle bay when once again he could scent her fragrance. He began to walk down the row of women who waited to get a shuttle back to Earth. Mia had successfully eliminated herself from the potential brides and was only a couple of minutes to find herself back on her way to Earth when a huge red warrior came down the row. He'd found her and removed her from the line. This was a more complex story than the previous ones and dealt with spousal abuse. Margo Bond Collins handled the topic with sensitivity. The overall story was quite good. I look forward to reading more about this and other stories by Ms. Collins. 5 well-earned stars from me. Although I received the book from Booksprout, I also purchased a copy ( have to support favorite authors). I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed reading this fascinating, well-written Sci-fi alien romance. The plot is interesting & has good world building with good scene descriptions. I look forward to future books in this series with great anticipation & would recommend this book.

So I never really notice stuff like this, in fact I can't think of a time I have before, but it was a little...off? Anyways, there was some weird editing issues (wrong names used sometimes and at 65% there's basically a copy and paste of the first chapter), it seemed more hastily put together than the first two. Some inconsistencies, in the first book the Hero mocks how humans are modest and need clothing but then in this book the traditional bathing ceremony has *more* clothes than a bathing suit? Anyways as before I like the idea of the books, and the overall storyline/arch happening, so I'll likely try the next book.

I really like this book. It's the second one in the Alien Bride Lottery series. This book has all the funny, exciting, and sexy action of the previous two books. There's still a heavy lean towards the romance part of the story, but this one has more of the Alveron Horde's attack on the Bride Games on Station 21. I have so many questions now, and I hope the next book will have some answers. I love how each book is more exciting than the last. I have so many questions now, and I hope the next book will have some answers. I love how each book is more exciting than the last. The storyline for this book was a fun read, but there is plenty of drama with the attack on the station and Mia's secret/past. I like how the female main character, Mia, is African-American, but there isn't much focus on the shade of her skin. Her Groom is bright red, so her skin tone seems insignificant. I enjoyed seeing some of the events of the previous two stories from Mia and Eldron's points of view. I especially liked learning more about the Alverons. While I would still consider this a rom-com and sci-fi romance, I'm also still suspicious of the Lottery and the Bride Games. I like how Eldron explains why the Khanavai started the Lottery and Games. What I don't understand is why nobody on Earth told them the game show is not how most humans find their spouses. There's lots of other stuff that I want to know about: The black market for changing out the tracking/translation chips, who is in charge, and why? Is there an underground resistance to the alien invasion/protection? Who is on the take at the station? (I suspect that's how the Horde and/or Frank made their appearances) What the Horde is up to with tracking human Brides? What's the real deal with that extra... appendage the Grooms have? Shouldn't humans know what they're getting themselves into before the Games? What happened to previous Brides and Grooms? Is the Prince who started this stuff still alive? Several typos, but nothing distracting. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The world building was just okay, with the space station and Khanavai culture not being very vivid. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and organic, with a heat level of two to three chili peppers. The plot and pacing were quick and exciting, meaning that I read this book in one sitting. This novel had a medium amount of somewhat tiresome angst and high stakes, which meant that I still enjoyed the story. This novel used the Mars Needs Women trope and the Reality TV trope. The world building was three stars. The plot and pacing were five stars. The characterization was three stars and the development of the romantic relationship was four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel ended on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy sci-fi romances with exciting plots and fast pacing. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I will not be buying myself a keeper copy of this novel. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I had no clue what I was gonna read when I started this book, an alien bride lottery, really?!? Lol. Well, I really love this book!! It was quite a concept and definately an adventure. It is a stand-alone, but I can see how the characters can mingle throughout the series. Basically, Earther's have a chip implanted & single, childless, women are entered into a lottery, if their compatible. No choice of they want to go or not, due to an arrangement made a long time ago between the species. No choice of they want to go or not, due to an arrangement made a long time ago between the species. It's blackmail for saving earth, & continued protection, in reality. They play a game on a televised show, on a space station, if they get chosen to be a mate. This gal lied & had a huge secret or 3. He's a warrior & the Commander, but he's not there to participate for real, so he's got a secret also. Possible trigger for some.....There was some physical abuse, but not as graphic as the rest of the fight scenes. It does have her recalling it, with some of those feelings, along with finding & accepting help. Having some personal knowledge, I feel the author did a pretty tasteful job with it. I really can't say much more without giving away to much info, but it's a good book. I think you'll enjoy it, if fated mates & aliens are your thing, then I know you'll enjoy it. Regardless, without the games getting in their way, Eldron and Mia actually got the opportunity to learn about each other and figure out whether or not they could trust each other. Considering Mia’s issues and her past, it makes sense. No woman with Mia’s past was automatically going to just trust a stranger. This book fit in well with the first two books. It wrapped seemlessly into the storyline of the horde’s attack on the space station that happened in a previous book, filling in different viewpoints of what happened, continuing the worldbuild8ng of this universe. Heart warming by Anna O Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery. This is a great fun series, each is a standalone with an HEA. Light reading with adult themes, in this case an abusive relationship and some explicit sexual content. I do like that there is a story, a plot and some tension. When Eldron prowled the corridors of the space station, he caught Mia's scent as she queued to board the shuttle returning to earth. Characters from earlier stories make cameo appearances. I really liked that Mia was resourceful, resilient and rolled with the punches, so to speak. Eldron was every thing a Khanavai warrior should be - kind, thoughtful, protective, patient and loving - and everything Mia had once dreamed of. There is some overlap from previous book but that is good as it gives a different perspective. I liked the characters of Mia and Eldron. I really liked the interactions between them and how Eldron uses what Mia teaches him. When Mia transport Josiah to station, she goes to Eldron and he helps. However the divorce papers he got through were only through the Khanavai courts. I'm not sure how but Frank and Mia's friend arrived on the station and Frank proved he was still as violent. Eldron alerted by Mia rescues her and Rebecca. Frank finally gets his just deserts and Eldron and Mia mate. I'm looking forward to Rebecca's story as she asked Eldron to help her get into the bride games.

Mia is working as a waitress in a diner and has a young son at home but she isn't worried about the Bride Lottery because the identity she is living under is fake and supposedly exempt from the bride lottery but unfortunately when you buy things on the black market you cannot always trust the person selling the item. When her name gets called she is horrified because if she tells them that she has a son then her true identity comes out the man she is running from, her husband, will find her and she cannot allow that. He is a violent man who made her life a living nightmare and when he turned his violent tendencies towards their son she ran. Like the women in previous books she has a plan to ensure that she is not matched with anyone and she thinks she is successful when she is told she is being taken back to Earth but just as she is about to board the shuttle Eldron Gendovi scents her and realises she is his mate. I really enjoyed their story mostly because when it came down to the choice between running and trusting Eldron, Mia makes the right choice but when her past comes calling will Eldron be able to protect her and her son or will her husband win the day? Basically he was just the kind of mate that Mia didn’t realize she needed. With hiding her and her child, and being on the run from her abusive almost-ex husband, she understandably wasn’t interested in being a bride in the lottery games. Her only goal is to escape and get to her son, especially since she’ll have to run again. Does she escape the best thing that could’ve happened to her because of her fears, or trust that Eldron is exactly who he seems to be? Read this book to find out, and get caught up in all the action, mystery, romance and passion...just like I did! Also, even though you could totally enjoy this book on its own, you’ll get the full affect from the series by reading it in the order it was intended 👍🏻 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Firstly, domestic abuse trigger warning for this story. This is in regards to the female lead’s ex-husband and is a minor part of the story but it is present. The relationship development between the characters is made difficult by her (justified) wariness of males in general and his distraction with the job he is trying to execute on-site. It was interesting to see how they overcame their challenges and I enjoyed seeing them flourish. I hadn’t read the others in this series and genuinely believe the story stands alone. I had no problems following the plot without having read the others. This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and I enjoyed it enough that I’m going to find the first two. I have been a fan of this series since I read the first blurb and it feels like it keeps getting better with every new story. The women of the stories are ripped from their lives on Earth and entered into a reality show where Aliens get to decide who he wants to marry. What starts off as a nightmare turns into the happy ending they could never have dreamed of. The aliens are the stuff real men are made of - loyal, protective, honorable. In this story we get Mia and Eldron's story AND the bonus of an alternative glimpse into the stories from the other books. We see Natalie wish she ran, Cav's duel, the Horde attack, and the wedding - all from a new perspective. Mia has some baggage that makes her desperate to get back to Earth. Her need to protect is at war with the feelings she starts to feel for Eldron. He stands in stark contrast to her ex, who is scum. Trigger heads up - story deals with past physical abuse. Entertaining alien romance! I love the alien bridal lottery setup, and all the fun colors of the aliens. This series has been great! I didn’t quite feel the love between them. Eldron is great though. The romance does have some steam, and they are sweet with each other. I enjoyed the bits of action too. Overall, this is a fun read, and I’m excited to read more in this series!

I was happy to have some of my favorite characters from previous books making an appearance. The grooms are as diverse as are the brides

I love how the books in this series are told at the same time. So events I read in book one and two are told from a different point of view in book three. Fun twist I haven't experienced before and I'm loving it. Can be read as a Standalone with no cliffhangers. Mia has had a terrible life and is now living in hiding with her son Josiah. Then she got pulled into the bridal games. Just when she's about to get back home a BIG red guy kisses the daylights out of her. Can she ever trust a male again? I think that this whole series is fantastic. I did like that the last bride tried to run but got caught. I love Mia and Commander Eldron. I found myself gradually falling in love with these characters and their story. There was a subtle pull to their desire to do what was right, be good to others, even when they were serving their own interests they didn't do it at other's expense. This done in one stand alone Kindle Unlimited quick read was a lot of fun, and introduced several other characters who may well have their own story.
