This book start out with a bang and continues. Author does a great job of characterization of the western time and mind set. I appreciate that the author doesn’t use vulgarity in his writing, a trait tony hillerman sited as a sign of a good writer and I agree. If you love your westerns, as I do, you’ll love mr. wheeler’s newest book.

Didn't think I would be as mesmerized by this series of outstanding western adventures as I have been, but this grabbed me from age one and never let go! Already purchased the next book in sequence, and looking forward to continue riding along with Sheriff Merrill and Emerson once again! Most definitely five stars worthy, as the action only intensifies with each new adventure, and Sheriff Vinson program is resilience with each new encounter with the bad guys. Most definitely five stars worthy, as the action only intensifies with each new adventure, and Sheriff Vinson program is resilience with each new encounter with the bad guys. Unlike the previous Sheriff, he definitely isn't in cahoots with the outlaw gang that has been running rampant for an extended period time time! He is dead set on reviving the town, but has a hard time finding anyone to back him up! Outstanding storylines that successfully maintains anyone's undivided attention from beginning to end, and the Author's successful selection of characters were perfectly selected for their commanding assignments as they maintained my undivided attention throughout the entire story. Never a dull moment throughout this compelling story of unending exciting, and very heartwarming, realistically motivated series unending excitement! This is a must read for all readers, regardless of your reading preference, as it is very heartwarming rendition of how I perceived our old American West was probably tamed! I assure you to be unable to put the book aside until the final paragraph has been read! It is a rather long story, but each new encounter of the Sheriff's attempt to bring justice to his area is definitely worthy of your undivided attention! Yes! Even you non-western enthusiasts will find yourselves completely satisfied with how this compelling western masterpiece will definitely impress you from beginning to end!!!😃

Weird mistakes for so prolific an author Start with sheriff stations. The only things called stations serviced transportation, usually trains. Then you have the 11 shot six shooters. Plot, characters, and physical surroundings are all bog standard. Only thing original are the place names.

A typical Wheeler novel, and I loved them all. I like the character development and the connection between previous novels. I like the way he deals with self determination, right and wrong, respect and the lifestyle of the west. Keep them coming.

There's a new Sherrif in town... Wheeler does a good job detailing thought and action. He offers a great casual western the kept me hooked. Give it a try, you won't regret it. Dry Cross Honor This was a great action packed adventure that gives us the opportunity to get some idea of what the good old west would be like with little or no lawmen.
