Enjoyed this series The first 3 books grab you and take you down a path that keeps you hooked. The character development is good especially in book 1-2. There’s a lot of twists and excitement to keep you reading. The only reason I didn’t given this series and this book a 5 star rating is I felt it got redundant. There were numerous typos and even sometimes the wrong name was used for a character in a scene! The last 2 books seemed rushed. Another flaw was the repetitive nature of the language. It was almost like the author needed to make a word count for the book. He kept saying the main character needed to understand more etc. It got old. Personally I just skipped those lines that were redundant or repetitive. If you’re looking for a good series - this is one. This author is one of my favorites. I would recommend these books to anyone. I wish more thought was taken with the last 2-3 books in this series.

While the story is interesting, Holmberg departed from his usually tight writing style. There are so many 'asides' explaining the limited action, all of the books in this series feel disjunct and uncomfortable to read. That being said, the characters are interesting and the story line is logical. This final book in the series comes to an abrupt end and feels rushed in it 6 book resolution. I read all of Holmberg's books. This series is my least favorite, not because of story or character, but si While the story is interesting, Holmberg departed from his usually tight writing style. Exciting and epic Jason has become more than he ever thought he could be. He wants to save all the dragons. Dragon bones become Something very magical. What he does in the dragon one years is very magical. In the end he thinks of himself as. Misfit. His relationship with janeya grows and they work together to Overpower Jessica. This has been a real page turner. As I got into the story I could not put it down.

Similar to previous books in the series, this one has quite a bit of inner monologue that I skimmed through. This one has a bit of repetitive bits as well. Not sure if the author just forgot that they already described things and did it again or if the cut-and-paste process of editing cause some snafus. There were things about this series that I enjoyed but I’m glad it’s over.

Typos galore!!!!! The dragon misfits series is well thought out and continually testing the reader’s imagination. However, the series is fraught with typos that are unacceptable and it drags. If the author had hired me to proofread the texts and he had offered more thrilling battle scenes I might have read the series in one week instead of 3 weeks. Otherwise, not bad.

What a ride! This rating applies to this whole series. The characters are well written and with each plot the suspense and excitement build. Can't wait to tackle another Goldberg series. Noooooo It can’t be over. The excitement and adventure was wonderful. I really enjoyed the trials that they went through to save the dragons and especially the end where good prevailed.

Night dragon Not much for reviews , has been a dramatic read. Wish it was not end. But that's how it goes. May be read again. Book 7 Jason settled down for new start.!... Teaching.. Done ✅ I had to take a break between the 5th and 6th books of this series. Not by choice - I had to wait for this last one to be published. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I have always been a big fan of anything to do with dragons. This series does not disappoint.

The Dragon Misfits This was a fitting ending to the Dragon Misfits series. This series is a very unique take on dragons and how the type of dragon is determined. Jason is a very interesting main character, and the villains are very evil.

Waste of effort Author knows one thing, dragons sell and so something must be written. And he wrote 7 books with pretty much negligible story. No plots, no character development nothing.

Interesting Dragon book. Likeable characters. Nice pacing with no dead zones. Enough twists not to be too predictable or boring. Typical good quality Holmberg.

An ending. Jason has much thinking to do in this last book. A lot happens to bring this to a conclusion. This has been an interesting series but I found this last book to be boring.

Great series I've always enjoyed dragon mythology. This series has a new take on many theories.
