Overall the “poetry” is over-simplistic, boring, and full of generic pandering platitudes which lack any real depth or substance. There’s nothing new in this book that you won’t find done better in a hundred other self-help books and there’s no real art in here - nothing creative, nothing new, nothing original. It’s just bland. Video review coming asap.

Just what I needed at the moment, I was moved to tears on some pages.

This is yet another circumstance when I wished that Goodreads would allow us to give half star ratings because I believe that 2* is too harsh, but 3* too generous, so I would give this 2.5*. I don’t really have much to say on this book, to be honest. The structure of the poetry was nothing special, it wasn’t elaborate and the last poem didn’t bring the anthology to a close; it was rather an abrupt stop. Synthetic personalisation was used, which I think is the reason people have rated the book so This is yet another circumstance when I wished that Goodreads would allow us to give half star ratings because I believe that 2* is too harsh, but 3* too generous, so I would give this 2.5*. The structure of the poetry was nothing special, it wasn’t elaborate and the last poem didn’t bring the anthology to a close; it was rather an abrupt stop. Synthetic personalisation was used, which I think is the reason people have rated the book so highly, as it spoke to them in their darkest days. The poetry was focused around self-love and that’s it’s okay to take your time healing, which I always think is a very important message to say. I did like some of the poems- I can’t give you the names as unfortunately they had no titles but they’re pages 17, 29, 65, 79, 118 and 121. The cover design is simply gorgeous, one of my favourites on my shelf as it adds to the uplifting nature of the book. It is split into 3 sections: dawn, sunrise and new day. Each section has pages of motivation that aren’t poems in, too. Overall, the reason I’m only giving it 2* is because I personally prefer more elaborately structured poems. Though I did like a few, I wasn’t personally moved by any of them as I’ve seen some people. Hence, it just wasn’t a book that I clicked with like I hoped to so I have it a lower rating.

Very beautiful, I loved it! This was the kind of poetry I was looking for. Sometimes you just need to hear/read this as a reminder. I’m definitely going to read it again.

I read this straight-through on a night when I couldn't sleep and it felt like a much-needed hug. This collection of poetry serves up a persistent reminder that learning to love yourself should be your number one goal in life, and that it's just as important to give yourself the love and kindness that you give others... At the same time, it's also a friendly reminder that it doesn't happen overnight and that there will be bumps in the road. Note that none of these poems are earth-shattering or very original, but if you enjoy Instagram poetry and messages of self-love then give it a try. There were a few typos and missing words throughout that should have been caught by an editor, an unfortunate side-effect of self-published books.

I’m terms of the poetry itself, Dhiman writes with a simplicity that is beautiful. What makes it special to me however, are the additions made by a friend which makes it certainly a five star read that I’ll always come back to :)

Mixed feelings with this one. The poems are okay overall but unfortunately, theres so little text for the majority of the book that it feels like you're paying for mostly white spaces. The very short poems are similar to cheesy instagram quotes BUT the longer ones do provide great insight and reflection. I'd still say give it a try. Mixed feelings with this one. Anyone who's experienced trauma should read this! I can honestly say I wasn't really expecting what I found in this book. It's essentially a book of poetry about healing, but there are a lot of those and not all of them do this. I'm actually on a journey of healing (for me, one that never ends) and this book made me feel something wonderful and unusual -- it made it feel okay to *be healing* and to *need* healing in the first place. Acceptance is a hard thing to find, so I hope you can find it li Anyone who's experienced trauma should read this! I can honestly say I wasn't really expecting what I found in this book. Acceptance is a hard thing to find, so I hope you can find it like I did in a book of poetry. Also, I found this book completely inspirational. I've often suffered from writer's block because I have such confidence issues. I can't write because I'm too scared of what people will think of what I produce. But this book made me feel so much better about who I was, that I started writing about my own healing! Just page after page of poetry. Thank you so much Dhiman! Beautiful and thought provoking This is an exemplary book for people who don't want to read paragraphs upon paragraphs on psychological issues and, self love, accountability life dilemmas. The writings are so accurate and clear about the conundrums of life that you will be amazed how simple your issues are to start with. Just read every word of it and then read again. You will understand that every word in that page has a connection with your fears, shame or guilt. One of the best gifts I received for my birthday. Self-love letters which speak right to your heart as if it were written specifically for you. Full of beauty, hope and faith. Although I prefer poetry that rhymes or at least poetry that has its own notable music, this set of poems made me realise that a poem doesn't have to be perfect to make you feel. I will absolutely read it several times throughout my life as a positive reminder. One of the best gifts I received for my birthday. Unfortunately, I felt like every page had the exact same message but in different words. In short, "be yourself", "you are worthy", "always push for better", "you can do anything", and "love yourself first" - that's about it. There were also many typos and missing words throughout the book, which I didn't appreciate. All that being said, there were three to four gem poems in there but not enough to make it worth reading the entire book. This isn't poetry. It has no structure or form, no poetic devices, no depth, nothing that required a great deal of thought, and nothing that will make you think deeper than the few words on the page. These are "inspirational quotes" that tell you what you want to hear (even though you will have already heard them before multiple times). This isn't poetry. Some of them are solid. But most pages are filled with one or two sentences... with hardly no message at all and barely any poetic and aesthetic beauty. After reading "Becoming a Wildflower" by April Green...i thought this poem collection is just really bad. Toward the end, I thought that it was very repetitiv....disappointed... Reminders that you need This book came recommended, and it came at the perfect timing. It was the reminders needed through this transition. I recommend this book to anyone who needs to remember their own magic.

If a hug could be a book. Buy this in paperback and keep next to your bedside, bathtub, or wherever you do your soul searching. One you’ll go back to whenever you need a splash of hope or courage. A beautiful reminder that “your authenticity is your super power”. 🖤

Positive, uplifting, short poems. Although I did enjoy the poetry, it wasn’t anything I haven’t read before. It was simple, generic, and a bit repetitive. The cover however is absolutely stunning! Typo count: 3

A beautiful collection of prose centred around the theme of self-acceptance. Dhiman's words are uncomplicated and uplifting, and radiate warmth and kindness. I enjoyed taking a moment to just sit, absorb, and reflect on what I was reading. A beautiful collection of prose centred around the theme of self-acceptance.
