This is a collection of "short stories" relating to love, and life. I don't know if they can be called short stories because the stories are extremely short, it's more of an anecdote really. There are 10 stories in this book, out of which I liked the following: -Love Me... Before You -Blind Date -My Beautiful Thief -Second Chance Then some stories were okay and some were problematic. Things I liked: -This is a super fast paced book, you can read it one sitting. -Most of the stories are amusing, and relatable. -Stories like Love Me... Before You and Second Chance tells us to value ourselves and not to put up with abusive relationships. Things I didn't Like: -This book wasn't edited well. There were many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. -There's cheating involved in two stories. I personally hate cheating and I hate to read about it as well. I think both the stories that involved cheating were problematic. I can understand if someone cheats if their partner is abusive, but there were no indication that their partners were abusive. -In one story, the protagonist was at least 40 years old but she sounded like an 18 year old teenager. -The stories were extremely short and as soon as I got interested in what might happen next, it was over. Overall I enjoyed this book and I will recommend this book because it is very short and won't take much of your time.

A great collection of 10 short stories with a whirlwind of emotions. Counting down to some of most amazing narrative, the author weaves stories which are not only engaging but also have sophistication of soul stirring moments in life. As for the writing style, it was definitely a well developed and lucid style. While this was a good collection( intended for mature readers), my favorite story was Blind Date. It was such an heartwarming and beautiful story.

These stories are not flat plots but if adapted into a web series this would be so cool to watch and work upon. Writing of Author is mature and understanding and she knows the nerve of the readers.

One time Read Love, Loss, Life, Laughter and More - Short Stories by Ritu Kakar   This is a collection of ten short stories which are based on love, familial problems, self love and hate etc. The author has managed to write all the stories in very less number of pages, it’s a good thing and also a bad thing as it finished very quickly and I think plot could be developed more in some stories. Among all, I liked ‘Full circle’ and ‘Second chance’. The writing style was fine and the language is easy to understand. I chose to read it because of the cover and the title which I found little interesting and I would say my expectations were too high. Overall, it's a one time read for me and anyone who likes to explore different kinds of authors and writing styles can check this one out.

Stories are very refreshing. Few of them could have been presented in a better way but for the majority of the book, for me, it had everything that it promised. Personally, I don't support the choices in some of the stories but thats my opinion. I would never stop or judge someone if they made those choices because something which may be wrong for me,can be right for someone else and I totally support it with broad mind. If you are looking for some refreshing Rom-Com short stories, this can be that for you.

I got it free on Amazon Kindle, so this was a no profit no loss deal. Have you read this book ? What are your views on this ?

The stories touch various aspects of modern life, some highlighted with love while some will leave you laughing at the end. I found a few stories very heart touching, while another few of them didn't strike a chord with me. Talking about prose, it is very well presented. The author is well versed with the art of narration and the appropriate usage of words. Overall, this book is a good light-hearted read, something to read, if you want to sit back and relax. Still this was really disappointing. But I have seen people who still really enjoyed it a lot. And even I liked one story in specific - blind date. It was the one I enjoyed. So I still recommend it . yes, it needed some more effort but I really appreciate the idea of this whole book. And if you are not that analytical like me you can still really enjoy it.

Or you may be Rami, who has forgotten how she lived her life to the fullest and is now all about taking care of her family and kids. Or Mishika, who is disabled only in her sight but not her determination. Or you can just be some mysterious kind. ‘Second chance’ was one of my favourites. I would be terrified if something like that happened to me, but girl, she handled it like it should be!! ‘Full Circle’ is another story that touched my heart!!! And ‘Soulmates’ is so what I want for myself!! Of course when you are so in love with someone, you want to be where the other person is, together for life and death. . Friendship or relationship or family, Love has many forms. The language used is very simple and everyone can enjoy this short read. All the short stories bring over a whole lot of emotions. Each story is so different from the other, yet so relatable to our society that you are bound to feel the resemblance to one of the characters atleast. But since we are celebrating LOVE in this series, I wish there was something about loving your own gender as well. Because that is also something we are accepting with open arms and it has become a vital part of our society as well!!

While most of these stories were about second chances, making the correct choice no matter how late it is, hope, inspiration, self-love, happiness, support, family, butterflies and love , a couple of stories absolutely killed the vibe for me. There were two stories (to be precise) which presented infidelity in a positive light. I'm someone who believes, that, in a relationship, #infidelity is the prime deal-breaker. It is my personal opinion that no matter how bland the relationship you share with your partner, going behind their back and establishing a relationship with someone else is just not on the cards! The best thing would obviously be to sit down with your partner and sort things out peacefully. So many of our problems remain unsolved just because of the lack of communication! And honestly if one is not willing to make this tiny bit of an effort for a satisfying relationship with their partner, it's clear exactly how important that bond/that person is to them. So why not just end things officially instead of all the pretense? Just saves time and energy! And in one of the stories, the husband was actually calling her wife to tell her he'll have the wine ready when she returns. Poor fellow! Little did he know, his wife was busy with another lover of hers. ugh. It just triggered my morals and ethics and I couldn't help but feel, that, so many would read these and go on to believe this is the right thing to do. I want to make one thing clear here. I completely understand the fact that relationships can get dissatisfying for some after a point of time but you can't just CHEAT on them! IT'S JUST SO UNETHICAL!!! Another thing that was a major irk for me was, the portrayal of "attractive" and "a slim figure" as synonyms! There was one story where this woman , while describing why she was attracted to the man, includes "zero fat" as one of the reasons and there was this another story where part of the attraction the man has for his love interest is her "slim sexy" figure. I could still pass these off as "personal choices" of the characters being discussed ( lol who am i kidding) BUT what absolutely infuriated me was this supposedly "educated" woman who is the head of the editorial team in some company saying "i can't understand how *a certain woman* from my office has a boyfriend, with her *oiled hair* and *slightly fat* body!!! I swear i felt like shaking this fictional girl and telling her that the reason is that guy is not a moron unlike you! He surely has his priotities right and values her character and mind more than her so-called-unattractive body! I feel like even such casual comments from just a book of short stories, have the power to cancel the progress we are making as a society, even if by an angstrom. Phew! It's been a long time since i got so irritated on reading a book. Hence, this mini rant. i already feel a lot calmer. Thanks if you've reached till here. i appreciate your patience and the time you spent.

A housewife, a professional woman and many other roles played by women in their lives are depicted. . The first story 'Love me...Before you,' is based on a life of a housewife. Usually she sacrifies all her desires for the sake of her family's happiness and prosperity. But when she is betrayed by her very own husband, it's heartbreaking. So sometimes self-love becomes more important than anything else. It is good to think of respecting others and making them happy but when it comes to your self-respect then do take a right decision before it is too late. Sometimes it's fine to be a little selfish if it's for your own good. I liked the stories 'My Beautiful Thief' and 'B.O.B.' These stories actually made me laugh and i enjoyed reading it. . She works with next door characters and weaves lovable stories around them. However, this book fell short in my expectation. The stories were not extraordinary. I did not find that special charm in them. It is not like they were not good or something. It is just your heart that will not be satisfied after reading them. One more thing that I would like to mention here is that I found many grammatical mistakes here and there. So I will request the editorial team to work in the next edition. Among the stories, there were few of them to be conceptually very good. My favorite story from the book was “full circle”. In the background of reuniting a mother and a son after eight years, the author was successful in melting your heart. This is definitely not the best work of the author. However, if you love short stories, you might want to give it a try.

I loved Mishika's character and her confidence. These stories teach us that life holds a different meaning for everyone and in order to be loved by others, self love is the first step. It also tells us how our life could be different if only we could see our potential and give ourselves a chance to live it fully and freely. It's about rediscovering ourselves at every turn. . I really didn't like the other stories as much. Most of them were based only upon love and cheating which I found weird since the title promised something else other than only love and loss. Another thing which annoyed me is the over use of the word babe. The stories could've been a little long to hold the attention of the readers. . If you are looking for a short, easy and fast paced read, you can definitely pick up the book.

When she was asked for the rest, she said her husband is a cheat. She kept on accepting and staying because of her son but now she feels broken. I have seen numerous cases. It’s a general concept in our society that women accept husband’s extra marital affair just sake of her children. It often makes me wonder how strong a woman can be. It was really emotional and heart touching yet realistic story. I liked other stories too. Many of them are based on day today experiences and observations. We can relate to many of the things. At point I felt like reading a diary of the author because the emotions of the narrator are described well. The language of the book is lucid. I liked the concept of the book. Overall good one. What I didn't like is the unnecessary incorporation of sensuality in most of the stories. I had expected much more from the book. The titles of the individual short stories are nice. I didn't like the themes of most of them except 'Blind Date', 'Full Circle' and 'Soulmates'. The plots of the stories failed to engage me. There was basically no storyline. The narration was very poor. The vocabulary and grammar has gone absolutely haywire and there were too many punctuation errors to overlook. Needs serious proof reading. Characterisation was weak. The execution was so poor that it had conferred monotony to the whole book. Quite disappointed!

Few words are so rightly picked while editing that it’s simply amazing. Let me put my favourite lines “Life is all about the choices we make m. It’s good to think of others, but not at the expense of your self respect.” Out of those 10 short stories, my favourite short story is the last one with a title “Soulmate’s”. It was beautifully written and elaborately. Every small details were taken care to explain the situation. I highly recommend this book to those who love to read light short stories with strong messages.

All these stories state how one shouldn’t judge women, on basis of her gender. How some females have participated in the race of life, and how few still hold on to the starting point; none of them are wrong, it’s just the matter of priorities, choices and opportunities. With time, no doubt situations of females have elevated, but we all know it’s a long way to go till we become equal and don’t need the elevation. Writing was no extraordinary, it was a fast read, which you can finish in one go. Although stories present a nice point, but the whole book won’t give you any serene feeling. Read it to take a break from intense reads.

Plus the content is for mature readers.

There are quite a few grammatical errors but the narrative is great at places. I loved the minimal pastel cover of the book, it's beautiful. It's a flash read with mere 64 pages. Also this the second installment by Ritu kakkar.

This book is a collection of 10 very beautiful, short stories. Most of them deal with women, as the main character, who are going through their lives and their own sets of problems, and how they chose to deal with those. Love, Loss, and Laughter are a part of everyone's life and hence these stories and the characters in them feel natural and well-constructed. . My favourite from the collection, was 'Full Circle' a story about a divorced mom with two children, and the love that exists among them. . My favourite from the collection, was 'Full Circle' a story about a divorced mom with two children, and the love that exists among them. . I felt the stories were a bit too clichéd, but they can be enjoyed for the gorgeous writing that accompany them. A few dialogues (in some stories) felt synthetic (as in, not what normal people would say). It's okay to do that with thoughts, but it felt unnatural when done to dialogues.
