I loved the message of the book.  In addition, the pictures are absolutely beautiful as well.  I read this book with my 3 year old son, and he was very drawn to the pictures.  This is a very quick and easy read and I love all of the artistry that comes with it.  Not only is it illustrated, but the book was also translated into lyrics of a song as well.  The world needs more positive messages like the one in this book. Disclaimer - I received a free e-book version of this book from the author.

I received a copy on kindle from a giveaway. The story is short and sweet set to the lyrics of a folk song. Not really sure what culture is being represented throughout the book and author/illustrator make no mention of it in the book. The lyrics are great but not my 4 year old did not clearly understand the message of the book. The illustrations are beautifully done.

Goodreads giveaway that was greatly appreciated. I gave this very cute childrens book a read before sitting down and sharing with my girls. It is not only very beautiful illustrated but simple to read and well written. Bonus is there is a song embedded in the book at the end that is the story just read. Keep in mind this story does read like a poem/is a poem so if you are not into that style this may not be for you. I do encourage everyone to give it a try though. I won this book as a kindle version through Goodreads. All opinions expressed are my own. The illustrations of this book are amazing. The colors are vibrant. If it looks this good on the kindle version, i can only imagine what the actual book looks like. The text comes across more of a poem when i read it to my niece because, at six years old, i had to explain somethings to her. We both enjoyed the book and it's message about believing in oneself. The illustrations are beautiful, and the overall idea is great, but it might be hard for younger children to grasp the bigger themes. Also, it's hard to tell what culture (if one) is being represented. A beautifully illustrated book with a lovely theme. I had to explain it to some of my grandchildren. but they all enjoyed it and loved the artwork. We need more stories with themes like this. I wish it had a CD with the song attached or in the Kindle that we could simply hear the song.
