A wonderful cozy mystery series!
Waffles and Weekends: A Cozy Murder Mystery (Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery Series Book 5) Kindle Edition
I enjoy reading a good cozy mystery or even better binge reading a good cozy mystery series. The recurring characters in this book/series are an interesting lot and the setting is great.
In this story centering around the Valentine Holiday, the romantic relationships rival the murder investigation for page space.
This is a good, clean, romantic, cozy mystery. I have b A wonderful cozy mystery series!

Muffins and Mobsters: A Cozy Murder Mystery (Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery Series Book 6) Kindle Edition
This story is part of a great cozy mystery series that I am binge reading. I love Jenny and her posse, the Magnolias, and all the other wonderful characters brought to life in this book/series.
The Magnolias are grieving a loss. Jenny and her posse will not rest until justice is served.
There is no graphic violence or vulgarity in this intriguing whodunit. It is a fun and easy read.
Parfaits and Paramours: A Cozy Murder Mystery (Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery Series Book 7) Kindle Edition
My favorite genre is cozy mysteries. I have been binge reading this series for days and just adore Jenny and her posse, the Magnolias. The development of the Pelican Cove residents/characters as the series progresses is wonderful.
Romance is in the air; however, not all romance is healthy. Which is the stronger love… love of romance or love of money? Knowing the answer to that question would make solving this whodunit much easier, or would it? There are plenty of red herrings in this story of love, hate, envy, and greed to muddy the waters of this investigation.
A good story that is free of graphic violence and other vulgarities. A delightful escape into the world of fiction.
Truffles and Troubadours: A Cozy Murder Mystery (Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery Series Book 8) Kindle Edition
Binge reading this series over the last few days has been so much fun. Cozy Mysteries is my favorite genre. I love when I find a new author (to me) that I can enjoy reading story after story. This is definitely the case with the Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery Series by Leena Clover. The characters are wonderful and the setting on the fictional island of Pelican Cove is fantastic.
Jenny and the Magnolias are busy planning Jenny’s upcoming wedding. There is so much to do and only a few weeks to get it together. The “normal” daily responsibilities of Jenny and her posse keep them busy from daylight to dusk. Where will they find the time to plan a wedding in such short order? Then, one thing after another happens to claim hold to even more of their time as they support each other and their circle of family and friends. Jenny’s café business is blowing up (in a good way). Jason needs, and receives, their support as he navigates through his new and often overwhelming responsibilities. Everyone is pulled into the first mayoral campaign in 50 years. The Fall Festival is demanding their time. To top it off – a murder, or two, to investigate. Will there be enough hours in the day, or will it finally be too much for Jenny and the Magnolias to handle?
This was a fun and easy read. A clean stand-alone. My personal preference is to read in order as to not be surprised by spoilers.

Carol Helverson–
Actually I had started reading Book 9 in the series and realized I was missing a lot of characters interactions and relationship developments, so had to research for the back stories and fill-ins. Since these characters have actually become virtual friends, really had to know what was going on with all of them even though each book has a stand alone plot, I needed to fill in their life stories.
Am now well into Book 9 and loving it..

After the ending of book 8 I am ending reading this series. I've been tempted before because it's actually boring same description, same actions, same food, predictable. However it was the ending of book 8 that finished it for me. Why the author decided on this conclusion is beyond me. It won't keep me reading it did the opposite!!! I quit! Disappointed! I enjoyed all books, 1 thru 8. When I finished #8, I was shocked and immediately got book # 9. All the characters are well defined and feel like I know them all.

Disappointed ending!
I like the books but was really disappointed at the ending. To me , as I have the series, it is a lot of repeating of everyone's background & the settings.
