Schooled in Silence is the fifth book in A Glennon Normal School Historical Mystery series by R. A. Wallace. We're making progress with 'the fiend' and learning more about Delia's service! Things are closing in on the group at the school and I'm enjoying it. I believe this has been the has been the strongest, and as a result my favorite, in the series thus far. Although our main character, Delia has felt pretty abstract in that we know next to nothing about her besides sticking her nose into things and the background to get away with it, so I was glad to learn a little bit more about the her past and how she thinks and feels in this book. We still know remarkably little though, so hopefully we'll continue to learn more in the next few books. Now that things are moving forward in a bigger way with the big nystery we've been facing from the start,  I'm quite looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see how thing will continue to progress. I'm quite sure we won't be getting all the answers as there are still other books in the series after the next, but I'm alright with that as long as we're continuing to move forward. _____ I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited membership.

So far this is the best book of the series; but as usual the principal and his sister can't see the danger. The story is moving along now that Delia, police chief Judson, and Otis are working together; also Wesley, the school principal, although he refuses to think anything bad about Arminta and Chester. Great This series just keeps getting better. I think this is the best one yet. Very interesting, clean, mystery. I like to read about the different clothes, behavior, conversation, vehicles etc in this time period.
