Harlow Zepplin’s life isn’t going the way it should. She should have a career by now. Be married. Be someone. It doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards for her, though. It doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards for her, though. The same day she loses her job, her out-of-her-league fiancé calls off the wedding, breaks up with her, and kicks her out of the apartment she has called home for years. Unemployed, with no source of income and no future, Harlow must do the one thing she swore she would never do. She has to go home. Worse than that, the only job she manages to find is working for the boy who broke her heart. The boy who drove her out of Frostproof. The boy who humiliated her in front of everyone, the boy who almost destroyed her relationship with her brother for good. Worse still, that boy is now a man, and he is gorgeous. Harlow can’t stop looking at him, thinking about all the things she would let him do to her—if it wasn’t for the fact that Dr. Jordan Linhart was also Jordan Linhart, her brother’s best friend, and the reason her life has gone so poorly. Harlow knows she can’t ever forgive him. No matter how much he tries. No matter how much he wants her. She’ll never be sucked into liking her brother’s bff ever again… not even when he’s wearing his fancy doctor’s coat. Right?

wow, again I was pleasantly surprised, first this is a new author for me and since I like this genre-if you haven't noticed before, i tend to request this book, I really was not expecting much, so I was happy that I got so much more. Harlow goes back home since she is in a rut, nothing is going as expected, but when she gets there he is around her brother bestie the guy she had forever crushed on and the same guy that tormented her..surprise surprise Harlow he is not the same. Sometimes you just can't get over things until they are smack in your face again Brother's Best Friend (M.D) is the fourth book in the Heart Lines series and is about Harlow and Jordan. Harlow Zepplin is having the worst time of her life as things just keep falling apart on this beautiful and lovely woman. She loses her job, then her fiancé calls of their wedding and kicks her out of their apartment. This leaves her no choice but to go home to the town she grew up in and move in with her brother. She loses her job, then her fiancé calls of their wedding and kicks her out of their apartment. This leaves her no choice but to go home to the town she grew up in and move in with her brother. This really is the last resort as she left ten years ago after she had her heart broken. When Harlow is looking for a new job she can only find one working for Dr. Jordan Linhart. This is another last resort as this is the man who broke her heart when they were teenagers............such teenage angst!!! Jordan was best friends with Harlow's older brother. He was also her crush. One night they shared some kisses and he fled. The next day he told her they could never do that again as she was his friends younger sister, so she was off-limits. This broke her heart..........again such teenage angst over a couple kisses!!! When her brother found out what happened there was more drama involved. I liked this story as it was nicely written and an easy read. But for me it was also a bit on the OTT/overblown side of the teenage angst/drama scale. I mean there were some kisses shared and ten years later she is still having an issue with it, even though she had been ready to marry someone else. The characters were well written and there were some parts that I laughed at, even when I don't think the author meant for readers to. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

WOW (And not in a good way) This was one of those stories that makes me want to scream. Maybe it is the former English teacher in me but do today's "writers" not care about correct verbiage and proper punctuation? If you can't or won't hire an editor at least get a competent proofreader. There were so many grammatical errors and punctuation errors that I wanted to scream. There was no character development. There was little to no flow and even then years out of high school the characters still in WOW (And not in a good way) This was one of those stories that makes me want to scream. This is a well written short story with characters that are well-developed who have a rocky history. Her life has fallen apart in an instant and she moves back to her hometown, with her brother. Little does she know that this choice is going to bring her in direct contact with Him, her brother’s best friend growing up and her crush and her bully. Will they be able to put the past behind them, and resolve some old issues along the way? A quick steamy read with a bunch of twists - I loved it!
