Love Under Quarantine is part of a short story series dubbed The Luminous Cruise Chronicles. This series is written by a group of Black authors who found themselves inspired during an otherwise stressful situation during quarantine of 2020. Book eight and the last book in this short story collection and this sees us follow two members of staff of the singles cruise. I thought this was a great wrap up. At time of posting this series is available on Kindle Unlimited.

Great conclusion... Well I’m so happy that Falls was the one who finished out this series. She was able to successfully wrap everything together and I love that she chose to focus on two individuals who actually ran the ship. As most people know I’m a huge fan of Falls’ books and the only reason why I discovered this series was because I was looking for another book of hers to read. This definitely didn’t fail. I loved that he was patient with her as she attempted to figure out how she wanted to define their relationship and the steamy scenes were *chefs kiss.* Overall, I’ve had a great time reading this series and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing another collaboration like this in the future. I couldn’t give this book a full five stars the way I wanted to because there were definitely some grammatical errors that should have been worked out prior to publication.

Love Under Quarantine is, by far, my favorite book of The Luminous Cruise Chronicles series. I am all the way here for a pandemic happy ending. This installment was a nice way to wrap up a hilarious, entertaining, romantic, and steamy series that touches on the current situation we find ourselves in in real life. I'm actually reading this series out of order so, I still have more books to read. I just hope the other ones live up to Nicole Falls because, she definitely did the damn thing. It’s hard to find anything wrong with a book when the author name-drops you — Mama, I made it. I’m biased, consider this my disclaimer that I absolutely recommend it. That being said, I think Love Under Quarantine is a perfect way to round out the Luminous Cruise Chronicles. It features the mostly-unseen cruise staff and gives an interesting romance alongside a behind-the-scenes look at the ship’s crew during a pandemic. It features the mostly-unseen cruise staff and gives an interesting romance alongside a behind-the-scenes look at the ship’s crew during a pandemic. Juliette is a cruise director who’s got a little more than something going on with the captain, Jenkins. They discreetly scratch each other’s itches, but she holds him at bay to spare herself from future, potential heartache. Instead, she’d rather keep it casual, getting it in when they’re together, and acting like she doesn’t care when they’re not. That can only work for so long, and the resulting tension pulls you in. Jules & Jenk have a playful, flirtatious banter that is fun to read. While they have their serious moments, I would describe them as laid back and it really comes through in most their scenes. Other characters are best described as voices of reason and comedic relief. Jules and Odette kept me laughing, in between nuggets of sisterly wisdom. Despite the setting of the story being a quarantined cruise ship — I mean that has disaster written all over it — Falls succeeds at inserting a heaping dose of humor into the various interactions here. From the ever-present and annoying Elvin being read constantly, to the nicknames Jules uses to avoid Jenkins’ real name, I was highly amused. Actually laughing out loud. That levity is something I’ve come to appreciate when the rest of the world is engulfed in a five-alarm fire.

Enjoyed this story. It started off slow and it felt like the author was about to go into too much detail about Covid-19 but I’m glad I was able to push though it. Juliet is in a friends with benefits situation with captain Jenks . Due to her past relationship she kept him at arms length to avoid getting attached but she is now starting to catch feelings. I did want Julie to actually come out and express her feelings for Jenks though. Sis was acting like saying he liked him was going to kill her Lolol. Overall this was a short and endearing read. The epilogue was necessary and i loved it. We got to hear her call his first name. Good read. Aside from a few grammatical errors, it was good

Want more Short quarantine novella 3.5-4 Jules and Jenkins have a FWB thing going on but Jules starts to feel more not knowing how to change the situation. Jenks came ready though. I did not read the predecessors of this series by other authors so the beginning was to vague for me. Could have been longer. -Some gen Z lingo and meme references I appreciated. -Jules was annoying for a sec when she ghosted. -Sister Odette funny -Jenks's ways of hunting for more were cute -The family introduction was cute. Hey Siri play Captain Hook by Megan Thee Stallion Love Under Quarantine by Nicole Falls is about Cruise Director Juliet Taylor and fine Captain Jenkins of the Luminous Cruise. Juli and Jenk are on their HNQ but Juli is catching feelings. Sometimes a quarantine is just what you need for clarity. This is a short, quick read but it surely packs that heat! What a great way to wrap up the Luminous Cruise Chronicles!

Nice wrap up! This installment was a nice wrap up to a hilarious, entertaining, romantic, steamy, beautiful distraction that this series has more than adequately provided in this current situation we find ourselves in. Reading has been a great way to fill the time as of late, and Nicole continues to provide wonderful contributions to my steadily growing TBR list! This series was so much fun to read!

Love this enjoyable ending to the Luminous Cruise Chronicles -- the Captain and the Cruise Director sealed the deal. There may be some disembarkment anxiety following this though. Hope everything that was supposed to stay on the ship stayed in the ship; except for stinky breath wannabe Mac-daddy Elvin and his phone with the hope that he will put that email from Charm and that advice from Juli to good use.

Poor, delusional Juliet thought she was in control of her little situation but she was sorely mistaken! Captain FN Jenkins pulled a smooth one in her. This quarantine certainly had it's perks but I'm glad these two were together for it. This story was a great way to end this series. I would not mind hearing from these two again. The supporting characters added even more humor to this story. Make sure you read this book. You won't look at quarantine the same! Juliette is looking forward to getting off the Luminous Cruise Ship and spending time catching up with family and possibly some relaxation. When an unexpected delay puts her plans on pause, she receives another unexpected surprise. What started out as a situationship, turns into something more. I enjoyed this 💎💎💎💎final story of the Luminous Cruise Chronicles by @_nicolefalls. I definitely recommend this series.

So freaking amazing! I'm so glad that Juli didn't miss out on her good thing because Jenks was amazing. I loved how they blossomed from situationship to relationship and it was a smooth transition. I want more of them because they were too freaking good together. This series was amazing and this was the perfect end to the singles cruise. Love was definitely in the air for everyone except Elvin. Lol! So freaking amazing! I wonder what Juliette's ex did, that made her so terrified of committment? Everything was good with her and Jenk. Why did she think that a title would change that? Anywho, I thought Jenk was a stand up guy, who was patient with her, knowing she had some baggage. He could have left her in the wind, after she ghosted him, but he was right there. Cute couple. 👍👍👍 I wonder what Juliette's ex did, that made her so terrified of committment? Everything was good with her and Jenk. Why did she think that a title would change that? Nicole Falls never ceased at bring the word game up a notch and the humor in everything. I loved the fact Ole Bradford knew what he wanted and played his cards just right. Juliette didn't know what hit her. The Love triangle found it's way to ring. Nicole Falls you ended this series on the right note. Thank you for blessings up with your penmanship. I loved it! It had a healthy sprinkling of NicFalls humor mixed in with a whole lotta substance. Juli was a self assured, yet relationship traumatized helping of not accepting the feelings that were so obviously there for Jenk. Can't believe Nic took us all the way to the last dang sentence before giving that man a name, but Jenk and Cap fit him. I loved it! Ol Man Jenkins Can Get It I did not expect dude’s name to be Bradford. Juliette was childish for the way she was ducking and dodging that man because she couldn’t use her big girl words, but he piped it on out of her. He said he don’t do casual and he ain’t about to play them games.

The perfect way to end the series! Nicole never disappoints. I swear Elvin has run me low this entire series and it took this book for him to finally make some necessary life decisions. Jules and Jenk were too cute for words. Wouldn’t mind seeing them cameo in a future project.

I like the fact that Jenk had already paid the foundation that Juliette was already his woman and he was patiently waiting for her feelings to catch up which they eventually did. It was all good once they got on the same page.

Good short series I enjoyed this book of the Luminous Cruise series. Juliette was trying her best not to fall for Jenk. It's something missing I can't quite figure out yet what it is. Maybe Juliette was in her head to much. Good short series I enjoyed this book of the Luminous Cruise series. Juliette was trying her best not to fall for Jenk. Good Read Juliette almost lost Jenkins not wanting to admit her true feelings. He wasn't down to be chasing behind her and was gonna move on. She knew better step up or lose her man. The story was fantastic but the editing made it difficult to get through some portions of this book. But I do enjoy reads that introduce me to new words. there were a couple of times I had to pull out Google and look something up. I do wish more the author's books were available in paper copy. Juliette & Jenk This was ok. I like the premise. Juliette and Jenk were in an entanglement, but she caught feeling and now she must deal with that. Most have been there. This story was riddled with little errors. I like Nicole and will most definitely keep reading her stories.
