Did anyone else realise that the only female character in both book 1 and 2 is the heroine? The syndicate had a party to celebrate some successful deal, still it was like she was the only woman there. I wonder if this was intentional or other females in everyone's lives were that inconsequential. I mean the premise of the story is that she might have been privy to her father's dealings/plans that's why they took her. Even though she and her dad left the mafia world when she was 16. Few other things don't make sense (view spoiler)[like the thing with Brian's phone. If they had it all this time why are they only using it after Damain was killed? If they are this big ass mafia dudes why is their security so lax, Grace was able to run without any of them noticing, someone was able to leave a dying dog at their door step without some security measure being triggered. They knew that someone was after Grace, why was they place not more secured, where were security cameras etc (hide spoiler)]

Mafia + RH = good shit This is a quick and fun read with the kind of story I would love to see a movie or TV show. I love that they knew each other growing up so there's flashbacks and a good foundation for a realtionship. There's also a mystery with a few twists so I can't wait to see where it goes in the third book in November! I also liked Grace more in this installment. My only quip is that I think this series could have just been one book. That being said I do enjoy a quick mindless read. Eva Ashwood has done it again. In book two of the Dark Elite Series we find Grace back with the guys. Hale, Zaid, Lucas and Ciro have shown that they still have feelings for her. She knows that a shift has happened in all of their relationships. But Grace's future is still unknown, she still has to meet with Hale's father. He has the power to get rid of her and she knows it. Guys I serieously cannot tell you how good this was. I was on pins and needles the whole time reading this book. Twists and turns, several "Yes Finally" to " Nooooo this cannot be happening". Eva has done an excellent job of keeping the pace fast, the plot so damn interesting and the characters lovable. If you like big strong alpha men, with maybe one that makes you want to wrap him up and hug him. These are dangerous men, but they will do anything for Grace. You got to love that. Grace is such a strong character, and so freaking likable. Her mouth and wit just crack me up. She is strong and knows when to be mouthy and when to not be. She is a mafia princess after all. Overall, this series is one of the best mafia RH out there and I really need to have Savage Queen ASAP, because that ending!!!!!!

I mean, there is not anything that EA could do wrong. I’m positive. Well maybe not finishing a series. That could make me go loco. But this book? Ok. Twin sammich. Need I say more?? The twists. The turns...sweet mother, the hotness. The guys. Grace. It’s almost too much to handle. I’m sure your kindle/e-reader will ignite as you read the book. I need the next book last year already. Come on, Eva. I’m dying here.

Although I did want to see how it ended. Let’s go to book one with their security problems. For starters in book one there is no security, not for the safe houses or their main home. Grace was able to sneak out, escape, and almost get herself killed. There were no extra guards inside or outside of the mansion. There wasn’t even a giant fence for their mansion. Ciro is the only one with enough brains to put a tracker on Grace which the guys questioned. This is mostly just bad writing, especially when it continues into the second book. Yes I understand this is a short novel, but short does not mean you forget research. A seasoned writer learns pretty early on that details matter. When, where, what, why, and how. Where do they live, what timeline do they live in, what does it look like and is this accurate? This is important because a fictional place can be build in anyway you like, but an actual location that exist must reflect that in the writing. These detail also would have fleshed out this novel to at minimum forty more pages than what this writer has. Editing errors occur from time to time, but when you actually have an editor then the jokes on the writer. When writing the book the writer should have gone over her book numerous times. She should know her characters inside and out. She should also know she can’t switch to a character talking about something in the future tense while it’s currently in the present tense. This happened far too much within this book where I would have to stop and reread large sections just to realize what I thought was a discussion about what’s to come, was actually happening. As far as a plot, there is one. It’s surprisingly not horrible. There are some sexual moments, but given the context, it makes sense. The situation has Grace as more of a guest then a prisoner. Something Hale’s father clearly noticed in book one which is why he set things up the way he did and had a little chat with Grace alone. There also clues throughout the entire book that help with the mystery while pushing the story forward. This writer shows promise with a chance of being a three to four star rated Author if she took a moment to slow down and go over her work before sending it to her editor. Yes I would recommend this book for fans of mafia romance without the extra triggers. This is also a must if you’ve read book one, but not if you want lots of violence and bullying.

Damn What an emotional rollercoaster ride this book was. It captivates from the first page and you just can’t put it down. Zaid and Lucas stand at either side while Ciro stays behind me, Hale’s body creating a temporary barrier of safety between myself and Damian. ~Grace Hale’s lips twitch, and I see a flash of pride in his eyes too. Grace hasn’t been in our world for over six years, but she’s a fucking natural at the politics of power. In a subtle way, she just showed Damian that she’s looking to his son for guidance through all of this, that she’ll defer to Hale’s judgement, not Damian’s. ~Zaid Because as much as I want this beautiful, fierce woman in our lives, I want her there by choice. I want her to choose us. ~Zaid Lies are still lies, no matter how prettily they’re wrapped in promises. ~Grace Goddammit. I hate how much he hurts, even if he tries to hide it. I hate that he tore open a wound inside himself just to try to make me feel better, to let me know I’m not alone. But I love him for it a little bit too. ~Grace If she were causing me pain, I might not even notice the proximity. It’s the gentleness that fucking kills me. I don’t know how to handle it. ~Ciro “Well, you are. You’re one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever seen. Your tattoos. Your gorgeous jawline. Your lips. But more than that, it’s your eyes. It’s what I see inside them. It’s you.” ~Grace His blue eyes meet mine as his lips leave my skin, and I can see something in them that tells me this is no longer just about Ciro. It’s about me and Hale too. Maybe even about all three of us. “The most terrible thing about trust, Grace,” Damian says, looking at me closely, “is that the more deeply it’s earned, the worse it is when it is broken.” “I owe Hale my life,” I find myself saying, my voice steady despite my racing pulse. “But how I feel about him… goes beyond that. He’s learned to trust me, and I’ve learned to trust him too. I would never betray him—not because of a debt owed, but because I care about him. Even if he hadn’t saved my life, I would never do anything to hurt your son.”

The brothers who act as one, who think as one, could very well be one but two of them is definetly so much more rewarding! Ciro is a tortured soul, he's never been the same since he was taken. Touch is his nemesis there is no peace to him not even when he sleeps. My heart broke for him it really did. To want what he thinks he cant and shouldnt have, brought tears to my eyes. I wanted to put him back together. Fix him, make him whole again. Hale is the leader of their group, the son, the heir the next inline to carry on the syndicate. He's brave and determined, controlled and downright sexy through and through. His love for his men is unconditional and to watch him bring Ciro back my heart was a goner. These men are everything you could ever want and need, and I feel honoured to of met them and spent time with them. They are truly deserving of Grace as she is of them and my one hope for the next book is that they are given a slice of peace, and a bit of freedom from their duties, though I know especially now it wont be easy for them to achieve! All that's left to say is that Eva Ashwood has brought to the table an unforgettable series that five stars doesnt seem enough for.

Wow. This book was intense, action packed, suspenseful with some mystery, and still heartbreaking at times. There were so many unexpected things happening in this 2nd installment!! I’ll admit, I don’t read a lot of mafia romances. I always expect the FMC to be harmed and treated as a pet or slave, but this series is so refreshing. It is so nice to see all four of the men treat Grace so well, wanting her to be part of their family, and wanting her to feel safe and not like a prisoner in their home Wow. They truly care for her and are willing to do anything to protect her. Those things just made this book so much more enjoyable. I already knew I was going to love this series after reading the first book, but the transition from hateful words and actions to the praise and loving caresses in this book let me know all the great things I have to look forward to. I always love seeing pure alpha men, those that are normally feared, treating the FMC like a queen. The relationship Grace has with all of the guys is so different for each one, but it’s amazing that she can be that something that each needs. The way she is with Ciro, patient and comforting, the way she supports Hale and how he knows he can break down with her without being judged, the way she can be part of the family that Zaid and Lucas are missing. She is all of that and so much more. She developed so much since the beginning of this story and has finally found her place. Grace is a pure ball of determination, willing to do whatever necessary to help the guys find the people responsible for the cleverly calculated deaths surrounding them. She is strong and will only get stronger, but how is she going to handle that whammy of information that we were left with at the end of the book?? Time will only tell.

This book includes a lot of inner monologues just like the first one and it didn’t bother me but I sometimes it became repetitive especially with Grace. Since there is a lot of inner monologues I wish I would’ve gotten to know the characters a bit more than just on the surface level. As I said, we learn more about Ciro but not so much about the others, especially the twins. I’m also wanting more personality and badness from Grace but that may just be personal preference at this point. The cliffhanger at the end has me grabbing for the other book, I’m super excited to read. Again, I think this is a good mafia series for beginners as there’s not a ton of violence or torture.

Mafia romance, RH, violence, murder, romance and sex... the only part I hated was the cliffhanger you are left with, everything else come together so well. Grace is starting to come out of her shell, stepping up and helping the guys, showing a willingness to accept her new life and even accepting her growing feelings towards them. The guys, in turn, are so amazing, yet the favorite is still Ciro. The twins you can't help but love, Hale is the alpha male in command who demands respect, while Ciro Mafia romance, RH, violence, murder, romance and sex... the only part I hated was the cliffhanger you are left with, everything else come together so well. The twins you can't help but love, Hale is the alpha male in command who demands respect, while Ciro you can never really get a handle on, can't really read him. Although he is the most distant and the one who opens up the less, once he does bit by bit, you can't help but instantly fall. They all struggle with their feelings for her, and not wanting her to be a prisoner but not willing to let her go. The end is just too much, it ends in a cliffhanger that just leaves you so confused and craving more answers. What happens near the end, concerning Hale and seeing Grace step up for him, it was so sweet and exactly what you needed to understand how much they've grown to care for each other, even if they weren't willing to say it yet.

Loved this book! Love this series so far! That being said this book is slightly slower then the first book. The first 50% of this book is kinda slow there’s very little happening in terms of the mafia story line and mostly just used to develop Graces relationships with the guys. Once again I’m left craving flashbacks to when they were all kids as well as the six years apart. Though I am happy we got a a little bit of background on Ciro in this book. I’m not sure if it’s just me but the characters lack in physical description. All we know about the characters in eye color and hit color. It would be interesting to dive a little further into some of those aspects of characters. Lastly I CANNOT get over the fact that the cover girl has brown hair when it’s constantly said that Grave has blond hair. For some reason I find that really annoying and such a simple detail to get correct.

Looking through some of the reviews, the heroine is repeatedly described by readers as being dull, bland, boring etc. I’m inclined to agree with this. She doesn’t really have much of a personality. She’s apparently pretty and has honey blonde hair. That’s about all I can say about her. Her harem is definitely more interesting but I’m struggling to see the chemistry, especially with Hale and Ciro. There If I had to describe this book in one word it would be meh. The books aren’t terribly long but they seem to be paced pretty slow in my opinion. I’m going to finish the series for sure but mostly for the closure and moving on to a hopefully more interesting series. One thing that has perked me right up is the twist right there at the end. Seeing as her mother was supposed to be dead I definitely didn’t see her being behind all the intrigue coming. So I’m more than curious to see how the rest of it plays out. This may not be the most riveting story I’ve ever read but It’s certainly far from the worst. It’s a decent read.

Wow, what a ride! Ruthless Knights picks up right where Vicious Kings leaves off, and we’re immediately going full speed ahead. We see Grace really come into her own in this installment, not only as herself, but also in being the woman that these four men need. She won’t back down, no matter how crazy the situation gets. I’m so excited to see how everything plays out in book three!

I Give this Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 5. Received BETA Copy from Author and I’m Voluntarily Giving this Book a Honest Review. Cliffhanger(?): Absolutely! And what a shocking one too! I didn’t even see that coming! Completely recommend reading, if you haven’t read this series please make sure to read Book 1! :D

Well I didn't see that one coming...... and I'm usually really good at predicting outcomes. The shift in characters in this book makes me beyond happy. Usually we have a never ending push and pull but Eva brought the characters closer and closer each chapter which was a nice change of pace. At only 266 pages this book flys by which is great until you realize you now have to wait a couple months to finish the story 🤣 dang it!! Will we get a happy ending? Or is Eva going to leave us reeling in betrayal?

Two words sum up this book and the series for that matter......................blown away!!!! Ive literally just finished reading it and thats what i am. If i could give this book 5 stars i definitely would and its so worth it. Its just so bloody good thats all i can say about it. Its not just the tentative relationship Grace (FMC) has with Hale, Zaid, Lucas & Ciro its also that each of the main characters battle with their own inner demons (especially Ciro) and their personal need to trust. In both their business and personal life too. I cant praise this book up enough. My only criticism is that now Ill be counting down the days until November to get my hands on the last book. Cant wait until then

LOVED it! I loved this book! Where the first book was full of action, this book slowed things down and really focused in on the characters. Don't get me wrong, there is still plenty of action. But we really got a deeper look into the characters and their personality which I really enjoyed. True to Eva fashion the intimate scenes are beyond steamy. A fan won't be able to put out the fire this one creates ladies! The ending to this book is such a surprise! I have to say I finished reading it at 1a LOVED it! I loved this book! It's alway such a treat to read one of her books!

What the hell was that ending!!!! I did not see that one coming. Two things that you can expect from this book - 1) cliffhanger that will literally kill you and 2) steam. In this second book grace is still trying to get over the fact that her fiance tried to kill her while the boys (hale, ciro, zaid, lucas) are trying to find the mole in their syndicate who helped her fiance. Grace starts to realize her position with these men in her life. They all have their own demons to deal with every day (e What the hell was that ending!!!! I did not see that one coming. If you haven't read the first book, go ahead and read it. You will not regret it.

Eva has done it again with another fabulous book. This one starts us right were book 1 ends and don't stop until the very end with a cliffhanger that has you dying for the next book. I love that we get to see a closer look into these characters and watch there bond and love come through. Over all Grace's guys Hale, Zaid, Lucas, and Cairo love her and realize they all feel the same and it's just amazing to read about. Love this even more than book 1!! I really enjoyed Vicious Kings (book 1), but I loved this book even more. Ruthless Knights gave me the emotional connection I was missing between Grace and her guys in book 1 and filled in even more of their backstory. This book is fast-paced and action-packed and made me want to forget about my real life because I became so invested in all of these characters. I didn’t end up getting anything done around my house because I just couldn’t put this book down. The Love this even more than book 1!! Following right after #1, after Grace is recused by the boys, she returns to the house. But this time is no longer tied up and constantly being guarded yet. While she is still guarded for her protection, Grace can move freely around the house as the Boys doesn't want to imprison her but rather protect her. Together, they pretty much opens up to each other more and doings each other, while still facing whoever is trying to get Grace and dealing with Mafia stuff. I was hoping that #2 would get better, and it was a little better than #1, particular the trauma with Ciro and Hale with his dad. But really what was it. To me Grace, is still the boring protagonist with nothing standing out. I generally can't feel anything nor care about the characters. This is disappointing :/
