Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairytale, and science fiction is one of my favorite genres. A.W. Cross (one of my favorite authors) has combined the two while adding her trademark quirky touch, so of course I loved it! The story has all my favorite details from Beauty and the Beast transplanted into a post-apocalyptic scifi setting with robots and AIs, and with everyone’s lives in danger. Oooh yes, color me giddy! I enjoyed the combo so much I breezed through it, looking forward to spotting Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairytale, and science fiction is one of my favorite genres. A.W. I fell in love with the Beast instantly, and I love that despite his terrible past (and present) he was a genuinely good guy with a heart of gold and he was kind to Beauty. I want this Beast for myself! I’m usually into steamy romance, not so much into sweet romance, but I appreciate it so much that the romance in this book is sweet. I felt it highlights the fairytale aspect, keeping the mood just on the light side despite the fact that the setting of the story is pretty gruesome. I finished reading with a happy sigh and a smile. Beautiful!!! I was lucky to be a beta reader for this book and voluntarily decided to write a review.

This was a really great book. I love fairytale retellings and this was a great retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I found it different from other fairytale retellings. The story and characters are very well written. The author was able to draw me in and keep me interested throughout. I loved the world created. I highly recommend reading this book. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review)
