Unraveled in the first book from her latest series The Ryder Boys and I am so happy because this book was lovely! Love it! It was like a perfect crescendo- It had just the right amount of angst, frustration, 'forbidden' longings and just the right amount of uber hotness. Three sentences in, I literally went from "huh?what?" to "WHAT??!! so it's safe to say that Mia Kayla got me hooked from the very first sentence. I'd like to take a moment to calm my nerves- Cade Ryder ladies is the best of both world! Trust me on that. I admit the first time I 'met' Cade I was like "Well aren't you cocky! *scoff* ". He is so cocky and confident but I swear!I tried, but I couldn't help but smile fall in love little by little. Cade Ryder truly is the best of both worlds. He is edgy, sexy and dangerously gorgeous with all the tattoos then on the flip side, he is an excellent business man and he has the smoothness of a gentleman. I loved that Cade could be so manly one second yet turn into such a gentle giant the next. Angie is a sweetheart through and through. She is beautiful inside-out. But she people pleaser so that can turn her into a pushover and there were times where I am really put off with her indecisive nature BUT thank the lord... She grew some balls. hahaha! Cade and Angie's relationship was so effortless that you couldn't help but get along with these two and fall in love. I would like a moment to address something- a small spoiler- When Cade sang Happy Birthday to Angie? Oh lord have mercy! That was THE most adorably romantic thing ever!!! A badass big muscled tattooed man singing-quite off tune- was swoon worthy and by far the sweetest gesture ever! I will admit that yes, I did cry along with Angie witnessing the love between the Ryder boys and their beloved mother. That scene will make your heart hurt-It was so sweet. So gut-wrenchingly beautiful! I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from this series. For more reviews and giveaways follow my blog at www.jemimajamir.com

Her and Cade had chemistry but I needed an emotional connection and when I did feel it, which was at 80% then it was too late. I really enjoyed Angelica’s relationship with her sister Tene. They were so much fun and supportive of one another. Also Cade’s relationship with his two brothers, Jordan and Wyatt and their mother Stacy was great. Their dynamic was fabulous and a wonderful addition to the story that added some emotion. I could feel an emotional connection between the Ryder family. Again it was just too late and my investment in the story was gone. Don’t let this deter you from reading Unraveled. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC via Netgalley

Get ready to meet the Ryder boys! Unraveled is the first book in this new series of interconnected standalones. This book elicited such strong emotions from me. There was quite a bit of angst and drama not only between Angie and Cade, but also Angie, her family, and her ex-boyfriend, Roland. I loved Angie's devotion to her family, but her indecision and inability to stand up for herself were frustrating at times. It did allow her character to really grow through the course of the book though, and I liked the progression as she really came into her own. It also helped show how perfectly imperfect she was and how unraveled her life had become. Cade also had his own flaws and emotional baggage to carry and it only endeared me to him more knowing everything that he had gone through. He really was so gentle, sweet, and vulnerable underneath the cocky exterior (and tattoos). He had infinite amounts of patience and understanding for his Angel and I couldn't help but root for them to find their HEA. Though we only briefly met Cade's brothers, Jordan and Wyatt, my interest is definitely piqued and I'm excited to learn more about them as the series continues. I can't wait for Jordan's story next! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

I believed it with every thrust of his body against mine, with every word that left his mouth and with every kiss he planted on my lips.” Addictive. Unable to put down. Fast-Paced. An incredible story-line. These are the words that come to mind when I think of Unraveled. Unraveled is incredibly well written and a great romance with a bit of a forbidden aspect. It also had a great opposites attract element as well. I loved the characters. I found them easy to connect with and easy to relate to. I was hooked on them from the very first page. From the moment I encountered Cade and Angie, the sparks and chemistry were off the charts. Their connection so intense, it left me breathless with anticipation. I couldn’t wait to see them together again. I was hopelessly addicted to them and couldn’t stop myself from devouring their story. Cade is the kind of guy that you just have to know more about. He is sexy and confident. He appears to be a total bad boy. But underneath all the tattoos is a strong, dedicated and just overall good man. A man who is broken, but who has a heart of gold. The kind of man that would do anything for those who were lucky enough to be in his life. The kind of man that knows what he wants and knows what is important in life. The kind of man that brought Angie back to life. And Angie…She’s not perfect. On the outside she appears to have it all: wealth, a great job, family. But, on the inside she is just bursting to be set free. She isn’t happy with the status quo, but is afraid to ruffle feathers. Meeting Cade showed her that she needed more out of her life and that things had to change. Angie had a lot of growing up to do throughout this story, and I won’t lie, there were plenty of times where she just frustrated me to no end. But, I knew her heart was in the right place and that she cared deeply for Cade, she just had to be willing to take the leap. Overall, I thought Unraveled was a really great read. It was so enjoyable and captivated me right to the very end. I thought this book had just the right amount of sweet and steamy romance, drama and some interesting twists along the way. I think The Ryder Boys Series is off to one to terrific start and I can’t wait to see where this series is going to go next! *I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

I won an ARC of Unraveled and I couldn't put it down. My days have been filled with homework and obligations, but every spare second was spent reading this book. I loved it. With our cellphones on hand 24/7 it makes it easy for someone to become a workaholic (I'm literally typing this on my phone right now.. and you're probably reading it on yours). Finding someone willing to put their phones away for you is kinda rare anymore, as is finding love in general (at least for me anyway). Something else that was completely relatable was being someone who tries to please everyone and loses themself in the process. It's a long and difficult journey finding your way back from that and fighting for what you want, as Angie found out. My absolute favorite part, though, was the big gesture. It was so beautiful and I found myself cheering right along with the crowd. The writing in this book was so spectacular that while I was reading I could picture it like a movie playing before my eyes. If you decide to read this book you will not be disappointed.

4.5 STARS!! Unraveled was such a great read. I enjoyed the characters, the storyline and this story because it made me feel a whole lot of emotions. I loved the bond these two sisters had and I also loved the bond Cade had with his brothers Wyatt and Jordan. Their mom was the best and she raised such fantastic boys even with everything that happened. I would definitely love for all of these characters, well everyone except Roland, to make an appearance in the next book. This book can be read as a standalone and I definitely look forward to the next book in this series, and other books from this author. I highly recommend this book. This is one I'm sure all romance readers will love. I can't wait for more.

I've read most of Ms. Kayla's books and I adore the ones that I've read. But every author has THE book, and I do believe that this book is that one!! They are magical and sweet and also plain flaming hot. But they have an adventure because of some going ons in the story. I won't go into much detail but these two both learn some important lessons. One being love isn't easy, you have to fight for what you want and fight is what these two do. Ok so this review does no justice for the book I just finished. Just know, and yes I'm saying it again but hush, this is THE book to read. You'll be in love from beginning to end! Don't believe me? Then pick it up and see for yourself. And you'll see I'm one hundred percent correct on this!!

I'm not a serious reviewer okay... I don't take myself serious so you shouldn't either... but I'm honest and all of this intro is a fact that at times I can read a book that no one likes or is plain pure smut and love it or I can read a great book and still be bothered with all the little things that happened. And I can change my mind...just like that... I guess what I want to say is all comes down to connection to something in the story. Mia Kayla's words never fail to get to me in some unexpected way and this was no exception. Unraveled was opposites attract in a whole new way. Because as different as Cade and Angie were, they were so much the same. Both come from privilege, both work their tails off to make a name for themselves. Both a little lost and a lot nervous. Unable to deny the sizzling chemistry between them. Not wanting to. Both getting in over their heads with the feelings of it all. Unable to deny the sizzling chemistry between them. Not wanting to. Both getting in over their heads with the feelings of it all. There was a lot of back and forth between these two, misunderstandings if you will. And it was Angie who kept messing up all the progress they had made. I really liked that facet of the story because as much as she was trying to become her own person, her sense of obligation to her family really messed up what she was building for herself. Thank goodness for Cade's patience and forgiving nature because these two wouldn't have gotten very far at all without it. There was something about Unraveled that didn't hit me until I was done reading. That is the power of Mia Kayla's writing. It's subtle but still packs a punch. There was family and forgiveness and fighting for what's right. And while it may've taken a while and one grand gesture for Cade and Angie to to get there, they made it. And I so can not wait to meet the rest of those Ryder men!

I was so excited to find out that Mia had a new series coming, not a stand alone, not a duet but a series that will give me even more of her writing!! This is the first book in The Ryder Boys series and it's on to a great start! Angelica (Angie) has been in a relationship for years and is not getting what she needs from that relationship. She is the giver and pleaser but doesn't get anything in return but put in last place. She is close to her family especially her sister. This is the first book in The Ryder Boys series and it's on to a great start! Angelica (Angie) has been in a relationship for years and is not getting what she needs from that relationship. She is the giver and pleaser but doesn't get anything in return but put in last place. She is close to her family especially her sister. While visiting a building her family owns she runs into a hot tattooed bartender, Cade. Their is an immediate connection. I could feel the emotion and the powerful feelings they had for one another from reading certain scenes especially the one where they first met. Angie realizes she wants what she feels with Cade but it's not easy getting there. She worries what others think about her decisions so Angie didn't always do things the way I wanted her to which caused me to get frustrated. The more time she spent with Cade the happier she became and I think she grew as a person. I believe they made each other better. I felt happy for her that she was finding someone better for her but I felt heartache for how she made Cade feel while she was sorting herself out. In a nut shell, this book made me feel different emotions but that's a good thing! I truly enjoyed it. I'm so ready to get more of the Ryder boys especially Jordan. I think I'll go ahead and claim him!

3 stars solely for Cade! He was exactly the type of H I love! Strong, hot as sin, dependable, loyal, and rich lol BUTTTT heroine's bullshit got old real quick. She definitely needed to grow a spine and tell her family off way earlier in the book. It was something different with the heroine being the one fucking up in the relationship instead of the hero but it was just constant screw ups. And it was the same thing over and over! I was just annoyed with her by the end. Also, I hate it when h's get 3 stars solely for Cade! He was exactly the type of H I love! Safety: (view spoiler)[safe with exception. the book starts with a sex scene b/w heroine and her loser ex. OM drama throughout the book, makes the H jealous so if that's your thing you might like it. I loved this one. Both Angie and Cade are great characters. They are easy to connect with which made this a quick read for me. Angie is fed up with her relationship. Angie has been with Roland for 8 years but recently he has check out of the relationship and focuses more on work. When Angie meets Cade there an instant pull and connection. I loved this book!!! This was my first read by this author but most definitely won't be my last. This author had me reading the whole book without stopping in one sitting. She has a way to pull her readers into character. I think the title described the book perfectly. Angelica met Cade, that perfect man specimen and couldn't stop looking. Cade met Angelica and instant sexual banter and attraction. There were parts that had me laughing, crying and anticipating what would happen next. Never settle I loved this book!!! I voluntarily received this ARC for my honest opinion.

Received an ARC at no cost to author..This was an insta-love between Angie and Cade. Angie had just broken up with boyfriend, but her chemistry to Cade was undeniable and so she got in a relationship with him. Angie was loyal to her family, but she needed to stick up for herself more, thankfully she eventually did. Then there is Cade, who looks like this cocky, hot bartender but carries emotional baggage and it also flawed but aren't we all. We get to meet his brothers briefly, but intriguing us Received an ARC at no cost to author..This was an insta-love between Angie and Cade. I am left with a book hangover after this book. Unraveled resonated with something deep down in my soul and I have not been able to break the spell it put me under. The characters are so well defined and their situations are so incredibly written -- doing things for other, afraid to be vulnerable. I am not sure how I am going to recover from this read.

But I also felt like there were several things keeping me from loving this story and it was just okay for me in the end. Angelica thought that she had her life planned out and knew exactly what would happen for her future. But when she realizes that the man she thought she would spend her life with is already married to his work, she knows that she needs to end things. Cade Ryder is everything that she shouldn't want, yet the more she is around him the harder it becomes to resist. I liked Angelica and Cade for each other. I thought that they had chemistry and were good for one another. They had a connection that was obvious right away. If I am honest though, I had a bit of an issue with Angelica. I felt like her moving on from her ex to Cade in such a short amount of time was a little unbelievable. For her feelings to suddenly be as strong as they supposedly were just didn't feel right when her relationship with her ex was so long and as serious as it had been. (They lived together) I also really had a hard time with how Angelica let her ex and her mother get away with all they did without her standing up for herself. There was one moment that really bothered me, and honestly if I was Cade I don't know that I would have been able to get over it. I did really love the relationships that both Angelica and Cade had with their siblings though. Angelica and her sister were supportive and great, and I loved seeing that bond. Same goes for Cade and his brothers Jordan and Wyatt. It was even more special for them as they weren't blood siblings. But those moments were really great and made this a fun read at times. While I liked them and Cade and Angelica together, I wish that Angelica had put her mother and ex in their place earlier and not let things get in the way of her relationship with Cade as much. I also wish that there would have been more of a natural progression for her relationship with Cade. It felt a bit rushed, when she was just coming out of the relationship that she had been in for so long. I do think that a lot of readers will enjoy this one and Mia Kayla is an author that I have come to enjoy. This one was good and it won't be the last I read from her. **ARC Provided by Enticing Journey Book Promotions**

Unraveled was an amazing way to introduce us to a whole new series! You can’t help but be completely consumed by this book from the very beginning. I find with Mia Kayla’s books I always need to read them twice because 1. I read them way too fast because I want to know what happens and 2. Because one time is just not enough of Cade Ryder. Angie and Cade.. where to even begin! Angie is such a great character. Is she perfect? Absolutely not! Is she perfect? Absolutely not! At times she drove me crazy but that’s what I ended up loving about her. She’s a well rounded, flawed character that I think a lot of readers will easily relate too. Then there’s Cade. I’m not sure I can even begin to put into words how much I love this character. He’s everything you want in a book boyfriend. He’s edgy with his tattoos and cocky demeanor. Then you see him with his family and you see the strong and sensitive side. Prepare for Cade to just melt your heart. I think I say this in every review of Mia Kayla’s books but it holds true in Unraveled. I couldn’t help but become completely obsessed with some of the secondary characters! Mia Kayla has such a talent for building a cast of characters that you just can’t get enough of! The relationship Angie has with her family is so interesting and I’m really hoping to see more of them in future books! And the Ryder Boys…that scene with their mother was just heart wrenching and I can’t wait to see more of these men!

I had previously read Mia Kayla's Torn duet, so I knew I liked her writing style. And she has a way of telling a story so that you truly care about these flawed characters. That was most certainly the case with Unraveled, as well. Angie had been with her boyfriend, Roland, since they were sixteen years old, but there was something missing in their relationship now. Priorities had shifted, and she was no longer happy with the status quo. Enter Cade- holy hotness and sweetness!- who sparks something in Angie that has been missing. But then add in a meddling mother, a difficult upbringing, a persistent ex- things just get complicated. I really liked that Angie was so flawed. Some may feel that she is wishy-washy or has no backbone, but I felt that it truly made her who she was; she wants to make everyone happy, even if it keeps her unhappy. Cade is one hot man! I loved that he was so committed right from the beginning, and endured Angie's back and forth, while exuding his own strength. I loved his family and his devotion to them! One last thing that I really liked was that it was Angie who messed things up; so often, it is the guy who messes things up and the girl who has to learn to forgive. One thing that I wish was different was that the ending just seemed a little rushed for me. I wish that their separation had lasted a little longer. But I loved the HEA! Mia Kayla writes some wonderful, imperfect, and real characters. I can't wait to see what's next for the Ryder Boys!
