When she does turn up, it’s five days later, washed up on the banks of the River Bronx, in Soundview Park, strangled to death. The detective who investigates the murder, a friend of the family, finds no forensic evidence, nothing of interest in her phone records, no witnesses to the abduction or the murder. Nothing. The case goes cold. Until her brother, Samuel, comes forward with new evidence he has found. And then the cases is handed to Detectives Stone and Dehan of the 43rd Precinct. They start asking the difficult questions, like how did she get into the river in the first place, and then the case starts heating up again…

Getting better and better I am truly enjoying binge reading these boxed sets! My last review was entirely about Banner's repetition of certain phrases in each and every book, and now I feel kind of bad because this next boxed set had very few of the usual repetitive themes (a few new ones but not so blatant). The mysteries are really taking shape and I am looking forward to the next few sets, although I hope I am wrong about something. It's really nice to be a part of the relationship's evolution Getting better and better I am truly enjoying binge reading these boxed sets! Repetative May I have read too many cold case books in too short a time but this set was so predictable. Regan had theories that were wrong, Stone kept everything close to his chest until the last minute. They continue to clog their arteries with burgers and beer and each case requires a road trip or two. However the cases were as intriquing as ever do I am not giving up on Banner, I shall try a different series.

They obviously weren’t bad since I read all 16! Pleasant characters, reasonable action, quick reading, enough mystery to keep you guessing. Light reading, quick reading. Rather misogynistic main character (HE has all the big ideas, she has the little ones) but not in a jerk sorta way though if I was my daughters age it might annoy me more. Bottom line, cheap quick reading online. Wouldn’t pay for paper copies.

These 4 books were very good. I love Stone and Dehan together as a married couple investigating. There were twists and turns in all the vases that Stone could see but no one else could and again I which they'd give Dehan some credit. Everything is always Stone. However Dehan is a badass. Few errors with the wrong name being used throughout the books (eg in the last book saying Penelope when it should have said Helena) but overall written well and well Thought out These 4 books were very good. Fantastic Series Really enjoy this series. Beleiveable, down to earth, well written and who wouldn't be in love with Dehan. I just wish Amazon would stop changing the operations of Kindle. Love this series I love this series. Still haven't totally figured one out before the end yet which is my main draw. Great escape from my Covid testing work! Thanks for helping me escape for a while. Love this series I love this series. Still haven't totally figured one out before the end yet which is my main draw. Great escape from my Covid testing work! Nice Series I enjoy the plots and characters. However what drives me crazy is the constant bad editing throughout the series. You read along and you have a hard stop to figure out what is wrong and then have to restart the book. Irratating.

I enjoyed the play between the two detectives. I was only able to guess the "who" a couple of times through the whole series so far. I enjoyed the play between the two detectives. I was only able to guess the "who" a couple of times through the whole series so far.
