I was a good girl. I ate my vegetables, volunteered at the local autism centre and sat in the front pew of church every Sunday. Then, I got cancer. What the hell kind of reward was that for a boring life well lived? I was a seventeen-year-old paradigm of virtue and I was tired of it. So, when I finally ran into the man I'd been writing to since he saved my life as a little I was a good girl. You have entered into forbidden territory! He is 19 years her senior, a divorced father and the leader of an illegal motorcycle empire. She has gone to school with his kids, is the daughter of the mayor and the granddaughter of a preacher. They have nothing in common… Except for a bullet that pierced their hearts in a church parking lot, on a sunny day long ago. Their road ahead is long and traitorous. She is fighting an illness that has come to take her life. His life is on the other side of the law and he is in the midst of two battles for dominion. She is a virgin, he’s a manwhore. They should never cross paths… But this is not a lovey-dovey story, this is a forbidden love that has crossed over on the dark side. “His words in ink on paper were my bible, his attention my place of meditation and his hands on my skin? The same hands I’d dreamt of every day for a decade. That I’d prayed for with more fervency than any virtues I’d been told to worship at church.” Nine words to describe Zeus Garro, Z, Guardian Monster: Focused, loyal, reckless, trusting, observant, forward-thinking, possessive, manwhore and ruthless. Eight words to describe Louise Margaret Lafayette, Little Lou, Loulou aka Little warrior, Foxy: Brave, strong, feisty, stubborn, pliant, smart, secretive and determined. Welcome to the Dark Side, told from dual POVs, is an ultra forbidden May-December in the violent world of bikers, traitors, greed, drugs, crime, power, lust, sex and betrayal. A love doomed before it begun yet destined to conquer against-all-odds! Dark! Sexy! Scandalous! At times heart-wrenching! “I felt cowed and unworthy of her goodness, moved to the point of reverence and devoted to the point of worship. I wanted her to be my religion, the reason the sun rose and fell each day. The reason for my entire fuckin’ existence.” *** Hero: ★★★★1/2 Heroine: ★★★★ Plot: ★★★★1/2 Storytelling: ★★★★★ Sexual tension: ★★★★★ Sex scenes: ★★★★1/2 Story ending: ★★★★1/2 ****************************************** OVERALL RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Angst: | HIGH FOCUS | Darkness: | HIGH FOCUS | Humor: | LOW FOCUS | Kink: | MEDIUM FOCUS | Romance: | HIGH FOCUS | Sex frequency: | MEDIUM FOCUS | Suspense: | HIGH FOCUS | ARC provided to me by author Giana Darling in exchange for an honest review.

reread (aug 2020) — 3.5 stars as i've said before, this book is based on where i live and with that in mind, if guys like Zeus actually existed here?? i- i would proudly ✨simp✨. no joke. i would give up reading (well, ok no) and go outside... and simply simp. ✧ tropes ↳ MC romance, age gap (19 years), forbidden (heroine's dad is Hero's rival), sick heroine, star-crossed lovers (maybe?? idk). anywho. the reason why i enjoyed rereading this is because of Zeus (H), of course, but also because of t reread (aug 2020) — 3.5 stars as i've said before, this book is based on where i live and with that in mind, if guys like Zeus actually existed here?? i- i would proudly ✨simp✨. no joke. i would give up reading (well, ok no) and go outside... and simply simp. ✧ tropes ↳ MC romance, age gap (19 years), forbidden (heroine's dad is Hero's rival), sick heroine, star-crossed lovers (maybe?? idk). anywho. the reason why i enjoyed rereading this is because of Zeus (H), of course, but also because of the cute penpal moments we got in the beginning. Lou (h) was soo cute as a 7 year old oh my god. i just wanted to adopt her. now let's get into the SPOILER TALK ➪ there's a little bit of OM drama here where Lou was dating Reece after meeting Zeus for the first time after 10 years. they "dated" for at least 4 months but were never exclusive. they apparently did "hand and mouth stuff" and- wait sorry, forgot to say they did that a lot. and yes, she cheated on him because she was thirsting over Zeus and was in a full-on relationship with him before she even broke things off with Reece. ➪ as for OW drama, Zeus just makes out with someone in front of Lou the second time they meet again to let her know he's not there for romance or flowers because he's a monster blah blah blah. ➪ also!!! i wish we actually get to see the development of Lou's character from Louise Lafayette to Loulou Fox because that development happened with the OM (Reece) and, well, i wanted to see that change with Zeus. and also, this was told and not shown. ➪ and y'all know i love a good romantic development and honestly, i didn't really like it here because it felt kinda fast. i just wanted a little more push and pull between the two as i was craving more drama and angst especially since this has the age-gap, forbidden romance tropes. i don't know... i just get bored easily nowadays but ehh they got together fairly quick. i thought the reunion would also be mindblowing but ehh it wasn't. ➪ when that Mute scene came up? i... yeah... let's not talk about that. it was depressing. _______________________________ all in all, i think i enjoyed this more the first time i read this but again, they got together kinda fast so i got kinda bored after unfortunately. nevertheless, my mans Zeus? yeah he's mine sooo. i call dibs sorry. also, i learned some interesting facts here as well like British Columbia has the best wEeD... hmm.. didn't know that. interesting. what to do with that kind of info.. * * * original rating (aug 2019) — 4 stars * * * The Fallen Men series #1: lessons in corruption ↠ 3.5 stars #2: welcome to the dark side ↠ 3.5 stars #3: good gone bad ↠ 2.75 stars; currently reading #4: after the fall ↠ tbr #5: inked in lies ↠ tbr

Let's be honest here - I've assaulted my husband on three separate occasions while reading this book. It's that HOT!! “You come for me really pretty, Lou, I’ll reward you with my cock next time we play.” “That’s it, little girl. Come for Daddy,” he growled. See!!! Ensure new panties, husband/boyfriend or BOB is available while reading. Trust me. But you know what I loved even more about this book than the hotness - the emotions. It's a story that's full of beautiful imagery and emotions so raw that I cried so hard today I couldn't see! And that was my second read through. There are scenes in this book that will go down as some of the most heartbreaking I will ever read. Giana wrote characters I am so attached to I feel like I know them personally and I miss them. Like, genuinely miss them. She captures not only Lou's love story, but her total journey of self discovery, the friendships she forms that shape her into who she wants to be as a woman and the experiences that change her outlook on life. I love Lou's character just as much as Zeus. She may be young but she's definitely his other half & his equal. Zeus Garro is not a Book Boyfriend. He's too much of a man to be anyone's boyfriend - he's your Guardian Monster and I can't wait for everyone to meet him. I beta read this story.

I need to find time to binge the rest of this series and I’m so sad it’s not on audio, but I will find time because I’m so invested in this Fallen world. Zeus and LouLou have an interesting start to their relationship. They start out as friends, penpals, and with much time, it becomes more. I know some people are going to have an issue with the nineteen year age gap, but it didn’t bother me at all. I mean, yeah in real life, but this is fiction and I’m totally here for it in my books. I loved how much Lou and Zeus loved each other. I never ever questioned their love or loyalty. He was her monster and she was his angel and I loved them so much together. I also loved Zeus’s family and there were moments I cried buckets and others I was so happy- this one was an emotional rollercoaster and this review is really rambley… but all I really want to say is I loved this book so much and I highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a great biker romance x

Characters: ♚ Zeus "Daddy" "Guardian Monster" Garro ♚ ‘I was sick. Sick with lust for a girl nineteen years younger than me and morally sick because of it.’ 36 years old, and president of The Fallen Motorcycle Club. father of two, to a bad boy biker poet and a bratty teenager. “I’m a man of loyalty and vengeance, violence and sex. Won’t make apologies for it and won’t have you romanticizin’ it.” he’s also Guardian Monster to a seven-year-old girl whose life he quite literally saved, until he’s Guardian Monster to a seventeen-year-old woman whose journey to the dark side he guides and protects with the safety of his very dark shadows. R e v i e w : my masochist of a heart is too far gone. body and soul over lovesick mind in love with Loulou + Zeus. oh, and their fucking letters? i-i’m still in recovery because of those. re-reading them, even ever, might just have me relapsing. God, it’s how they communicated for the better part of their entire beginning, the very innocent start of their relationship. one that, as it needed to be, was pure and platonic at first. one that, later, metamorphosed into something else entirely. it’s years and many years later. it’s after they’ve learnt each other’s story but from afar. it’s then when their unbreakable bond fast blossoms into said something else. it’s then when the two once lonely souls, souls who are the most kindred of spirits, meet again but this time, for the long haul. for a one-way ticket to the dark side. “You want it, come get it,” he dared me, eyes bright under his dark scowl. I loved that he looked terrifying in his arousal, the devil that would kill you soon as fuck you. It gave an edge to the sex that made me feel wetter, dirtier, even more alive. he’s her fiercest protector. she’s his most steadfast lover. together, these two are perfection. all at once, sin and purity. deviant corruption and lost innocence. true love and dark glory. ‘I wanted to pit my guardian monster against my beast of a father and see Zeus tear him apart with his bare hands.’ the chills. the fucking feels. the stark resonance this instilled in me. too much, too real, to even want to bare. because her father isn’t a good one, if a father at all. because Daddy Zeus, albeit morally questionable, is more significant a male figure in her life than any other before him. I brushed my lips against his, so silky smooth compared to the roughness of his beard. “I love you, ya know?” He smiled under my questing mouth. “Love you like it’s my religion, little Lou.” oh, and on that note, can we just take a minute to appreciate that ace moment he accosted her terrible excuse of a father? “And now I have Lou? Now, you’ve gifted her to me on a fuckin’ platter? I’m gonna keep ’er. She’ll be warm in my bed, safe in my house and protected from anything that might fuckin’ hurt her, includin’ you, for the rest of her goddamn life.” like, what, in the holy hell, was that? equally, just, yess, you tell him, Daddy Z. seriously, though. i damn near drooled over his possessiveness. almost cried over the way he puts her on his pedestal and keeps her there. sitting on his thrown and loving her there. ‘I couldn’t breathe because he held my breath, couldn’t think because he’d rewritten my thoughts into ones of his own making. He controlled me but only to love me, to make me understand how I could love myself better than I already did.’ with the dual POV this time around, i luxuriated in both main characters’ sides of the story. in both versions of how they met, befriended each other, met again, fell in love together. more so, what with the majority of WttDS being told from her POV, it was beyond obvious to me that Loulou and i naturally have so much in common. myriad characteristics, tendencies and dreams and wishes, that we both share and share alike. from our age, to our being raised with religion deeply ingrained, to our deep-seated proclivity for older men… just a lotta fucking things. and that in itself was breathtaking for me. maybe, above all, it’s what made me love this romance. my bone-deep connection to it, to precious Little Loulou and, in turn, her pure love and ever need for her Daddy Zeus. ‘I loved Lou more than most grown men are capable of ever lovin’ anythin’. Loved her enough to kill and die for her ’cause only the finality of death could match the finality of my kinda love for that girl.’ honest to God, i am so not okay. it’s just that this was one of the most beautifully brazen and purely phenomenal reads i’ve read in a long-ass while. it’s also one of the most excruciating so there’s that, too. because *whimpers* my poor sweet baby, Mute. God, i miss him. am nowhere near over him. let alone this. lastly, truth be told, i don’t think I’ll ever be… My guardian monster’s arms came around me, his lips pressed to the clean side of my hair. “I got you, little girl,” he said in a voice as rough and deep as any monsters, while he held me like a guardian angel. “I got you.”

There's one scene with a lollipop here that's just 🔥 WTTDS had been on my TBR for such a long time, and I'd honestly expected to love this a lot more. Here's why I couldn't: ♢ The transition of Zeus and Lou from (kinda) friends to lovers felt rushed. Also, I couldn't get past the fact that Lou was 17 when they get together. I know it's mentioned that the age of consent there is 16, but I just kept feeling: ♢ The book is filled with too many plot holes and inconsistencies. Would have rated it 3.5 but then this story took an unexpected turn which had me in tears and made me realize how into this I was. So there you go, an extra .2* for that! P.S. For some reason, my dumbass decided to read book 2 first, and now I want to read King's story (book 1) so much, but I got a shit-ton of spoilers for that! Why am I like this? 😭

Zeus Garro is going on my favorite book boyfriend list because the things that man said and did had me like…. Welcome To The Dark Side is a forbidden romance between two people who came from different worlds but one moment, solidified their future. It was raw, sexy, enticingly forbidden and I loved every second of this messed up ride! I haven’t read an MC book in a very long time and the moment I started this, I felt like I was at home. There’s something to be said about wanting the untouchable and walking on the wild side of danger. Whether it’s the rush that flows through your veins and gives you the best high imaginable, or the seduction of being able to have something so good, you would rather suffer the consequences. We’ve all wanted something that we couldn’t have and Louise Lafayette was no different. Ten years ago, Louise’s life was changed in an instant. One moment, one decision, altered her future without her ever realizing it. But because of that moment, Lou met her guardian monster and little does she know it, this man would become her everything. Right or wrong, good or bad, this was the beginning of a very complicated love story. There’s so much that I want to say about this damn story but I cant!!! I wasn’t expecting to be so consumed by these characters but I was. I didn’t think that it was possible for me to fall in love with a criminal , but I did. I’ve never seen two people who were that perfect for each other in a long time and I felt the love down in to my bones!. The sacrifices, betrayal, and every loss, was important to these characters and their overall future. If you’re looking for an extremely forbidden biker romance, I highly recommend this one. Please note: Daddy Zeus is MINE! I already licked the cover, burned the restraining order, and named all our future babies in alphabetical order so back off!

Giana Darling is a poetic genius and she knows how to develop her characters in such a way that readers can't help by find themselves deeply invested in each and every one of them. My heart wept for the pain and loss these characters went through and I was right beside them with tears in my eyes. I felt as if I was experiencing every moment with them. I've got my fingers crossed that I will be reading some of their stories in the near future, especially Harleigh Rose's because she became one of my FAVORITE secondary characters! Please tell me that we are getting her story soon...PLEASE!!!

Giana Darling created such a masterpiece of heartbreak and sex and darkness. A masterpiece so addictive I'm still wanting to return back to the book to read it all over again. To feel the tightness in my chest. To feel the angst, the sadness and hotness. I loved King, but Zeus, AH ZEUS! His protectiveness of those closest to him, of doing anything for them made my heart soar. Giana has marked herself as one of my favourite go to authors and I can't wait to read each new book of hers and die from how beautiful she weaves words together and makes us readers fall head over heels in love with her men and their ladies. Hands down my favourite book so far in 2018!

This series embodies the term, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover.’ From the beginning we see this man that young Louise equates to a beast or later her guardian monster save her when her own father only tries to save himself. Well those assholes leave much to be desired. Oh dear god, my heart, from the very beginning. I just love them so much! Did this bitch seriously ask the girl with cancer if she’d been dieting? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Pretty disgusting that it took her teenage son to remind her of this fact. What is up with half the people in this town? Nobody has said “good girl,” better than Daddy Zeus. 🔥 Have I mentioned how much I abhor her parents? Like I hope they get cancer and everyone tells them they’re overreacting. I seriously don’t get mother’s without that mama bear instinct. Honestly, I didn’t see the deviance coming. I mean damn, we start with those heartrending letters that made me cry like a baby. So color me more then happily surprised how taboo and dirty they get down. I can’t figure out if the mayor is incredibly naive, staunchly ignorant or a bigger asshole than I originally assumed. Perhaps all three. Everything is done so well and I love this one even more. My only drawback was the rat, too obvious. In the end I think I might be obsessed with the Fallen. I had planned to skip the next one but I’m so drawn in I can’t imagine missing a second of what comes next. But I get the feeling that nothing is more beautiful then the story of her guardian monster and his fallen angel.

This statement means for me, that the Hero waited for the Heroine to grow up since he knew her, since she was 7 years old. That he had such feelings at such a time. And that's just disgusting. I know what the author wanted to do here, but the execution is just all wrong. At last for me. The whole story is filled with such creepy little things. And I'm not a happy camper with her being 17 years old. I don't mind age difference. I absolutely love it. Even 25 years. Go for it! But I have need the Heroine to be at least in her mid twenties to take this whole thing seriously. And here she's not even 18 (and it's explained in the story that the age of consent is 16. That doesn't make it any better for me). And the Hero has a 17 year old daughter. I found this to be creepy too. Then there were some things happening that I'm just wondering about. Some not believable things. Like how a 7 or 10 year old girl writes very mature letters. Or how her good girl/bad girl personas aren't noticed. She's 17 and works in a titty-bar and no one knows about it? Come on! This just didn't work for me at all. I was creeped out. And although the Hero was badass, sexy and so good, I lost all my interest and attraction when he "needs" to have a 17 year old girl as his old lady. Sometimes I'm wondering if I'm too old for such books (I'm way over 17) because I just cant' identify with 17/18 year old girls anymore? I don't know. What I know is that I'm finished with this series and with the author too. So not my thing.

I have heard so much hype about this MC series and while I enjoyed the first book, I was SO EXCITED to finally read Zeus's story. I knew there was going to be an age gap, which is a trope I'm super picky about, but I couldn't wait to see if it was going to be as good of a book as I thought it was going to be. Ever since he saved her life in a downpour of bullets, Lou has been writing letters to Zeus Garro through all of the trials throughout her life, including going through cancer. Ever since he saved her life in a downpour of bullets, Lou has been writing letters to Zeus Garro through all of the trials throughout her life, including going through cancer. Now, Lou is 17 and she's tired of being the good girl who listens to her parents and does no wrong. And what better way to be bad than to finally make herself a part of Zeus's life? Zeus knows his attraction to Lou is wrong, especially considering she's his daughter's age, but he's drawn in by her light and her desire to get to know the dark side she knows he can offer... Like I said, I am super picky about big age gaps in books, so I wasn't sure how this how going to go, especially since this was such a big age gap. The beginning of this book begins with Lou and Zeus meeting when Lou is a little girl and then continues through her childhood writing letters to Zeus. I really enjoyed this because it was just a friendship between a girl and her savior, with the romantic side not coming up until Lou is 17 and finally meets Zeus in real life again, which is well into this book. I appreciated how loyal Zeus was to his family and how he tried so hard not to like Lou in that way, but couldn't help himself when he saw how mature she was after having gone through cancer and fending for herself in life with a crappy family. And considering Lou wasn't going to take no for an answer, it was no surprise that Zeus eventually gave in to both of their desires. While I wasn't satisfied with the action in book one, the action and suspense was spot on with this book. I fell in love with the characters Lou grew closer to, especially the MC members, and I was FREAKING OUT when danger came and they didn't know who they could trust in the club. I loved seeing Cress and King from book one and I am SO READY for Harleigh Rose's book! Like I said, this book had so many lovable characters, as well as a pretty hot romance, and it only made me want even more once I read the last page! Every Motorcycle Romance fan NEEEEEDS to pick up this series! While I enjoyed book one, I devoured and was obsessed with this book. Everyone needs Daddy Zeus in their lives!

4 STARS I was sick. Sick with lust for a girl nineteen years younger than me and morally sick because of it. I've been eyeing this series for forever it feels like. But I was somewhat burned out on MC romance, or at least on the poorly written ones masquerading as MC romance, that I was a little trigger shy. What? I'm judgy! This shouldn't be news to you here. But the allure of a taboo romance with a dirty talking MC prez proved to be too much, so I finally bit the bullet and dove in. 4 STARS I was sick. But the allure of a taboo romance with a dirty talking MC prez proved to be too much, so I finally bit the bullet and dove in. And I am so glad I did!!! He was breathtaking in every sense. Terrifying beyond comprehension and so gorgeous, it was a physical blow to the senses. This book was everything I didn't know I wanted. If you're a fan of a good age gap, this one delivers in spades. It was like a love child of Undeniable and Motorcycle Man. Or as I call it, my catnip. Me-Ow! *purrs contentedly* Now before all of you pearl clutchers come after me for liking a book between a 17 year old and a man 19 years her senior, I'd like to say that this is set in BC where the age of consent is 16. The heroine is also wise and mature well beyond her years as a product of her circumstance. That was probably one thing that worried me with starting this. Naive, immature heroines are my kryptonite. I can't deal with it. Louise was great! She definitely had her teenage moments, which just made it believable. But she wasn't an immature brat. Being the daughter of a corrupt mayor and parents who barely pay attention, and surviving leukemia has forced her to grow up quick. She first meets Zeus Garro in a hail of bullets as a young girl, when he saves her life. And the rest, as they say is history. They're reunited again when Zeus gets out of jail and Louise is now a teenager with an entirely different form of hero worship for the dangerously lethal biker. Zeus was perfection. The man is a dirty talking god. He's utterly electric on the pages. I swear I got tingles just reading about him. He's an MC Prez that doesn't shy away from blood shed, but he's also a devoted father. And he's so dirty. I mean DURTY. GOD but it was delicious. Now look, I'd be lying if I said this book was perfect. There were pacing issues. Quite a few of them. This messed a little with the flow of the story. However, I was so invested that I barely batted an eye lash at it. What did get me, though, were the KA-isms. And by KA-isms, I mean it was almost too much with the similarities at times. Now considering I had just finished a Kristen Ashley book right before this, clearly this was very fresh on my mind. I've read plenty of books that emulate her style, and I don't usually mind it. However, this author clearly has writing chops, and her work can stand on its own and I would have loved if it resonated here. But the characters all sound like KA men with their aversion to any words ending with a consonant, amongst other things, yeah? What frustrated me was this was not just in dialogue but with inner monologue as well. I get that a character should stay consistent, but it was just too much. Then there's the chapters that start in the middle of a sex scene, much like KA. What I'm saying is, the similarities were there, and it's worth a mention. Now, aside from that, this book was SOLID. I'm talking page-turner. Full of action, hot romance, and all of the grit. It read like a good MC book should. It felt authentic. These men were not innocent by any means, but you can't help but love them. Zeus is just a god amongst men. This is a character that I won't be forgetting any time soon. There's just something about him that sticks with you. If you're a fan of gritty MC romance, this is an absolute must read. Take it from this cynic, you want to meet daddy Zeus. Do it and thank me later. Find me on:

3.5 Stars Overall Opinion: This was an enjoyable mc romance. I like older man/younger woman stories, so I knew this was going to be a good one for me. I wouldn't say I loved it though. I know it had a lot of differences, but it felt similar to another wildly popular book about a mc president that falls in love with a little girl and can't deny (see what I did there 😉😉) her once she's older. I felt their connection, and I enjoyed both characters to where I was rooting for their HEA. I was easily 3.5 Stars Overall Opinion: This was an enjoyable mc romance. I felt their connection, and I enjoyed both characters to where I was rooting for their HEA. I was easily distracted though. I wouldn't say I was bored, per se, but I was not fully into it. I'm not really sure this will be all that memorable in the long run either...🤷🏻‍♀️ Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Lou and Zeus's story. They meet when Lou is 7 and is caught up in a biker shootout, and they are both shot by the same bullet when Zeus shields her. In the hospital, they connect instantly and end up making an untraditional friendship that leads to being pen pals while Zeus is in jail. They discuss hard topics like Lou's cancer and Zeus's fears. About 10 years later, they are reunited when Lou has grown up a lot and is wanting out of her "perfect" mold that her parents have made for her since her cancer has returned. After some avoidance and denial, Zeus decides that he is the man for the job in letting Lou test out the dark side safely. There is some typical mc drama, some family drama, and some sexy times...and they get a HEA ending. POV: This alternated between Lou and Zeus's POV. Overall Pace of Story: Alright. I never skimmed, but I did feel easily distracted and this made it feel slow at times. Instalove: Kind of. They instantly connect, but its on a different level when they meet because the h is only 7. H rating: 4 stars. Zeus. I liked him. I appreciated how much he cared for the h, and how he was so protective of her. h rating: 4 stars. Lou. I liked her. I liked her more as a young girl, but I still liked her as an older one. I liked how she cared for the H and how she didn't care about others opinions of him. Sadness level: Low, I didn't need any tissues -- but I can see where others might have. Push/Pull:Yes (view spoiler)[ The H does push away because of their age difference for a while. (hide spoiler)] Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story. Descriptive sex: Yes OW/OM drama: Yes (view spoiler)[ The h is casually seeing OM, and this causes some jealousy for the H. (hide spoiler)] Sex scene with OW or OM: No (view spoiler)[ There is one scene where the H makes out with OW and lets her grind on him while the h is watching. This happens before anything physical happens between the h and H, and the H is doing it mainly to push the h away. (hide spoiler)] Cheating: No (view spoiler)[ The h does get kissed by a boy that she was casually seeing before she can break it off with him (after she is physical with the H), but she doesn't kiss him back and I don't feel like it was cheating because of the circumstances. (hide spoiler)] Separation: No, once they're together they stay together. Possible Triggers: Yes (view spoiler)[ violence/murder/drugs/assault/domestic violence (on page), the H is ~19 years older than the h (she's 17 when they become physical), the H was divorced and has 2 children (son 2 years older than h and daughter same age as h), and loss of a parent and loved one (on page). (hide spoiler)] Closure: This had pretty good closure with what I would call a HEA ending (view spoiler)[they're married and she's pregnant (hide spoiler)] . Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences. (view spoiler)[ - Does Not have cheating - Does Not have a descriptive sex scene with OW/OM - Does have the H pushing the h away - Does Not have a separation between the h and H - Does Not have abuse by mcs - Does have a HEA ending (hide spoiler)]

So some of you might be wondering why I picked up Welcome to the Dark Side by Giana Darling. Honestly, I couldn’t resist all the dirty snippets and excerpts I saw in her group. I needed to get my hands on Zeus, and neither he nor this story disappointed. Zeus Garro is everything and nothing like what I expected. I was ready for the dirty talking and violent president of the FALLEN MC, and he delivered in that regard. The man’s mouth could make anyone instantly combust from its talents and his words. His level of possessiveness is to be expected, and it did nothing but make me lust after him even more. What I didn’t expect was to find a family man underneath the dirty taking, criminal biker. From the beginning Giana Darling humanizes him. She shows us, through correspondences with Lou, that he has a brightness to the grit, that there is a man who is fiercely loyal, protects the innocence of others, and man who loves devoutly. Like with Lou, she lets us fall in love with his good before she shows us the bad, and like our heroine, we accept his criminal and violent nature, and we cling to the image of the fallen angel, to the man who loves and protects those he values with unfailing devotion. He is the epitome of a God who has fallen from grace, but thrives in the darkness. Lou’s age might be a hard sell for some readers, but I love this heroine. She is 17 and knows who she is and what she wants (not your typical seventeen year old). She has, however, lived a life most teens have not. Forced to face mortality makes a person see the world differently. It emboldens her, makes her go after what she wants. Although she is all bright lights and beauty, darkness simmers under the surface, and it is what pulls her to her Guardian Monster. She has gumption and tenacity, and she embraces his life as though she was made for it. And although there are moments where her age shine, many times readers forget she is young because she has an old soul. She is someone who is determined to live all the moments of her life with the man she wants without regard to anyone else’s opinion, and I couldn’t have loved her character more. The story for me at the beginning was a bit slow. It was, however necessary. The opening of the story allows readers to see a non-sexual relationship develop between Zeus and Lou. We get to see their characters change and grow. We get to see Zeus’s light before the dark and Lou’s emerging rebellion and desires. Once these two begin to interact again in person, though, it is off to the races. The seduction and resistance is enthralling, the acquiescence to desire electric, and the love that blooms is captivating. In addition to the romance, Giana Darling provides a secondary plot, one filled with revenge and retribution in the MC world, and when it all came to a head, I couldn’t turn pages fast enough. The danger was just as enticing as the romance. I don’t often talk about the writing of authors, but it is clear from this story that Giana Darling has a love of stories. With each allusion to mythology and other classics, I felt my English heart flutter. These are not some random references placed in the story either. These are well selected moments that pull at my heart & brought tears to my eyes. It accentuates the storyline impeccably, and I am just as floored by her prose as I am by the story itself. Giana Darling surpasses my expectations with Welcome to the Dark Side. It is dark and erotic, but it is so much more. It‘s a story of real love, the kind that embraces all the parts of a person, good and bad. But it is also a story of a chosen family, of love and loyalty, and of owning who you are and making no apologies for it. I LOVED every minute of it! ______ ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

To me still undisputable number one book with these subjects and age gap and especially with the one where we see heroine being a little girl and grow up and the end up with the hero is.... Undeniable There were many things that I didn't like in this book, okay, but what I really found odd is that the teacher who creeps on his students is described as a creepy and bad guy, but then we have hero and heroine of this book having a sexual relationship under the bleachers with her wearing her cheerleader outfit so not creepy ( cue the sarcasm) btw his daughter is also in the squad and on the cheer team, and heroine is 17 and the hero is 36 and he unlike the teacher is not a bad creeper. Mmmhm. I know about taboo, dark, forbidden, age-gap romance okay. I have read it. And I have loved it. I just can't find anything sexy in this book. And there is my main issues with this read. The irony of it all is that the exact same reason why I choose to read this book is the reason why I dislike it so much; age gap. It didn't work for me in this one.

My god this book was everything, I loved the first one in this series a hell of a lot but this one seriously blew me away I’d give it more than five stars if I could it was that good. He’s also such a fantastic father adores his kids and has such a protective streak. So this is an age-gap MC romance which is so my jam the age gap is nineteen years so seventeen and thirty-six, it begins back when Zeus takes a bullet for little Louise Lafayette during a shoot out. His actions that day see him incarcerated and at the same time gain the worship and friendship of a little girl, seven-year-old Louise or LouLou, it also equally brings some severe hatred from her father the town's mayor. Exchanging letters Loulou's Guardian Monster Zeus is the very thing that gives the young girl the strength and determination to fight the cruel cancer ravaging her body. Now lou’s all grown up but living a lie as the mayors perfect privileged daughter becoming ill again was not on the cards and all she wants to do now is live everyday like it’s her last instead she’s still donning the mask she has worn her whole life, hiding behind a wall of pretend. Until she isn’t anymore and it’s this catalyst that will thrust LouLou centre stage and back into Zeus’s hemisphere and ultimately his life. So this was super hot the sex was seriously smoking and the relationship between Zeus and Lou beautiful. This book had all of the feels and made my heart bleed with its deeply emotional narrative. It was dark gritty and real and moved me to tears, It was also uplifting and genuine and made me smile it was most definitely an emotional one let me tell you. This was action-packed and as well as the romance we had some further plot progression regarding the NightStalkers quest to destroy and take down the Fallen there was such a lot going on here that I literally couldn’t put this down I was that enthralled, one of my favourite age-gap romances ever and it was obvious to me that Zeus was completely head over heels for his Lou and she equally doted on him right on back. Also on a side note that epilogue was seriously fabulous I adored it just so much it was super adorable well the bonus one was, the first one You’ll definitely gonna need a cold shower for let me tell you. I definitely recommend this book like 110% it was exceptionally well written and just such a good read. Reviewed By Beckie Bookworm https://www.facebook.com/beckiebookworm/ www.beckiebookworm.com

A few days ago I wrote a review for LESSONS IN CORRUPTION by Giana Darling. I seem to remember saying something along the lines of “King Kyle Garro” is my newest obsession... let me tell you, that all changed the moment i picked up WELCOME TO THE DARKSIDE. Zeus Garro is SOMETHING ELSE. Infact, im going to say that Zeus Garro is EVERYTHING. ZEUS FUCKING GARRO just killed me, guys!!! I am SO in love with this man, its ridiculous. Let me just be honest for a second, this book is NOT going to be to everyones taste. Why? Well, there is a VERY big age difference between Zeus and Lou. 19 years to be exact. Fair warning, if you arent a fan of forbidden romance, dont even bother. If, like me, that doesnt matter to you in the slightest and you are ready for Daddy Zeus, then this book is going to be the ride of your life. Seriously. “Wanna feel this pussy leakin’ all over my dick while you work it.”he rasped in such a low rumble it was nearly indecipherable. “Wanna see your face as tou struggle to take alla me in this tight cunt. Tell me, Lou, when i first break through, will you cry pretty tears for me?” OhEmmmmmGeeeeeee. I think i was an absolute mess everytime Zeus spoke. He is absolutely filthy at times, and I. LOVED. IT!!!! Dont get me wrong though, he had his sweet moments, and it was so perfect to see that caring side of him, and how he utterly worshipped Lou. “Now, I ain’t makin’ you and promises here, little warrior, but if your fine ass is going to heaven - and it fuckin’ well is - I’ll find a way to get there too. If i gotta move into that fuckin’ church and pay penance every goddamn hour, I’ll do it. If I gotta give up boozin’, guns and drug runnin’, I’ll fuckin’ well do it and I’d do it now if it meant I got a place beside my girl behind those pearly gates.” *swoons* I know i have spoken mainly about Zeus, but I am seriously obsessed with this guy!! I have to mention some others though. Lou, obviously!! This girl is so fucking wise, and brave, and just bad-ass. She may have been 17 years old but she knew EXACTLY what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go for it. I really adored her. It was awesome to see more of King and Cress, and Harleigh-Rose, and Nova. Ooooooh, I love Nova, and really hope he gets his own story. And finally, Mute. *cries* What an absolute sweetheart he was. I loved his relationship with Lou. Anyway, I think ive gone on waaaay too long, but you get the idea...I fucking loved this book. So much! Giana Darling is an incredible author and has created a story and characters that are going to blow you away. I know that i am going to be read this book many times over in the future.

3,5 stars ...because while some parts I really liked, most of it was a huge drama llama, very repetitive and at some point I started skimming just to get to the end of it. I loved Daddy Zeus, I loved Lou - they were perfect for each other, despite the age gap and everything. But the way this book was constructed just didn't work properly and I couldn't get past the plot holes. So yeah, won't be coming back for more. 3,5 stars ...because while some parts I really liked, most of it was a huge drama llama, very repetitive and at some point I started skimming just to get to the end of it. To be honest though, kuddos to Louise, for taking things in her hand and was freaking persistent all the way. I like her and her maturity. She lived under the thumbs of her rich-ass family and yet wanting to spread her wings and create a family with the ex-convict. “Sometimes you’re so sweet, I forget you’re a monster.” Zeus, on the other hand, was one grumpy, tough and possessive motherfucker. He tried to stay away but again and again failed. Overall, it was really good. I kinda expected more with the plot, but hey, it is what it is. And it works. The smut was delicious. The characters were great especially Mute 😢. I would really recommend this for those who are looking for an age gap MC romance that didn't end in tragedy. ☺

Man... I loved King but Daddy Zeus really gave him a run for his money. I laughed so much. I also cried and had the hiccups in others. The relationship, which Z and Lou, had was utter magic. Their kind of love grew over time and kept evolving. The characters, King and Cress, made an entrance in Welcome to the Dark Side. And I loved watching the interaction between the Garro family and the new girl in Zeus's life. The author wasn't lying when she just there will be tears. There will be many... I' Man...
