St Valentine's Day isn't all it's cracked up to be Another good read in the series but just wish Thor and Missy had had more of an active role. The plot is simple, love. St Valentine's Day has the town shivering with excitement. The pulling of couple's names out of the hat and then their date to see if sparks flew. However this one is signaled for disappointment when they spot a young girl's body lying on the rocks below Lover's Leap. The traditional meeting place for the St Valentine's draw. With the girl's father asking her and her Gran to help find out who did this to his little girl, they have no other course but to say yes. Unrequited love, an arrest, arguments, false alibis, a manuscript and friendship jewellery. Can she work out what actually happened? Will Thor and Missy give her the final clue?

Delightful Cozy Mystery I think I have read just about every book in the series, and I find it an absolute delight. It is what a cozy mystery ought to be about: a complex and fascinating relationship between the primary sleuth, her family, and the community; a small town, of course, with quirky characters where much goes on beneath the surface; and, of course, a mystery to solve! It doesn't hurt to have a couple of cute animals and a mix of generations. It doesn't hurt to have a couple of cute animals and a mix of generations. As with the other books in the series, I particularly enjoyed the relationship between Abigail and her grandmother. Because of the way that Abigail grew up, she never knew her grandmother until recently, but over the course of the books, they have become thick as thieves and are always working together to try to figure out whatever the current mystery is. I love watching the dynamics of their relationship. Their two dogs are quite different in character (gangly Great Dane Thor and ladylike Missy) and actually add a joyful element to the stories. And I'm not even a dog person! This mystery hinged partly on an old tradition of the town. That was a fantastic element to add to both the story and the mystery aspect. So much has gone into creating this fictional town, both its past and its complex present. The mystery itself in this book is a good one, and I liked that the main suspect was no one that anyone wanted to be a suspect, so some people wanted to help exonerate him. I actually was slightly surprised at the way it turned out, which is rare for me in a mystery. This is booked four in the series, but the author slides in a bit of information about the different people and things going on in town, so even if this is your first read of the series, you won't get lost. If you enjoy good, quirky small-town cozy mysteries, you may very well enjoy this book. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review. Murder at first Sight is a warm and cozy mystery. Abigail and her grandma are trying to find who attempted to murder a returning resident of Wallace Point, with the help of lovable town residents including the "Granny Gang". Abigail and grandma Lane's relationship is so sweet and loving. It sets the scene for the rest of the book, even the suspect is so lovable everyone wants to help him. I fell in love with Thor, the great dane and Grandma Lane. I would love her to be a part of my family! Though Murder at first Sight is a warm and cozy mystery. It was so good to get back to Wallace Point and visit with Abigail and Grandma for a few hours. When a local girl was nearly killed falling off Lovers' Point and Willy thought he had the person responsible, Grandma and Abigail knew they'd need to investigate again. They've always made a good sleuthing team. I was completely wrong about who the attacker was in a twist during the reveal. I liked how Abigail gathered her suspects like in an old time mystery. I'm really anxious to read the next book and hope it comes out later this year. This one is a great borrow for your Kindle Unlimited if you have that.

Good for you Thor!!!! You helped solve the problem. Nice job!!!! Shelly and Grandma are at it again. Another lively and engaging mystery in the charming town of Wallace Point. Suitably for a Valentine's Day story, this one is all about love connections. It seems somehow fitting in this close community that the victim's parents actually bail out the main suspect and ask Abigail and her grandmother to prove the sheriff wrong. The Granny Gang appear in all their fundraising, matchmaking glory, and Abigail's Granny is in the thick of it as usual. Another plus is of course the pair of adorable dogs! During the Wallace Point Valentines Celebrations, Abigail and Granny are asked by a friend to find out who wanted to kill his daughter at Lover’s Point. They must uncover secrets from present to the past, and Abigail may even need help from Jamie. I thought I figured the mystery out, but twists had me rethink. Satisfying This series is really starting to grow on me! The characters' personalities are being slowly revealed, and the mystery twists keep the reader on her/his toes. The sheriff's propensity for quick judgments is annoying, and the guilty party's reason for the crime is unbelievable ( how long was it, a week?!), but this is still a satisfying cozy read. Visits to Wallace Point have become a delight, and I look forward to Abigail's and James's burgeoning collaboration. Satisfying This series is really starting to grow on me! Actually 4 3/4 stars! Truly enjoyed this book and the twist and turns throughout the story. Plus the surprise perpetrator who was the cause of this book was the icing on the cake! My only complaint was the story was quite slow in some places.

Ah Thor and Missy your relationship will never cease to make me smile. So this book is the latest in the Whodunnit Mysteries and if possible I loved this one even more than the last.
