Witch’s spark is the second book in the Thornheart coven series. It can be read as a standalone but with most things it’s enhanced with the background knowledge of book one, Witch’s potion. Faye and Reese have always known they shared a special bond. The problem is they haven’t been able to touch each other since their eighteenth year of age. Something is wrong with their bond. When Faye meets penny all this is about to change. I listened to this book. I’m really liking this series. It’s full of Witch’s spark is the second book in the Thornheart coven series. Reese and Faye have known they were meant to be together since they were 5. They've known that they were mates since they were 18. But something is wrong with their bond. They can't touch without causing each other great pain. No gentle touches, no comforting hugs, no sealing the bond. The emotional pain is every bit as hard to handle as the physical pain. When Faye goes to a yoga class she notices an instant spark, an attraction to the instructor Penny. Confused she runs away, but that night fo Reese and Faye have known they were meant to be together since they were 5. They've known that they were mates since they were 18. The emotional pain is every bit as hard to handle as the physical pain. When Faye goes to a yoga class she notices an instant spark, an attraction to the instructor Penny. Confused she runs away, but that night for the first time ever she doesn't feel pain when Reese touches her. Penny could be the answer to fixing the bond. Maybe it wasn't wrong all this time. Maybe it's incomplete. This is the second book in the Thornheart Coven series. I have not read book one. It didn't matter where Reese, Faye, and Penny were concerned, however, I think it would have helped with the witch hunter part of the story. I enjoyed the love story much more than the witch hunter story and this could have been due in part to not having all of the details. I could keep up with what was going on, but it would have been nice to have some history and to know Faye's family better. I did love the mention of Eire and her guys. I was intrigued with the three main characters. My heart went out to Penny. She seemed so alone. And then it seemed like it would be so difficult to become part of a relationship that had already endured 20 years. I felt like Faye made everything work between them, but Reese had a couple thoughts that made it appear as if Penny was ranked a little lower than Faye in the relationship. He was welcoming but didn't seem like he could consider her an equal to Faye. Others may not feel the same way, but it upset me for Penny. With everything that she brought to their lives, she should be valued to the extreme! I do look forward to continuing with this story. I need to go back and read book one and then I want to know more about Faye's niece and sister. It's definitely an interesting family!

This was a great addition to the Thornheart Coven! This book follows Mia’s sister, Faye, and her destined mate Reese. I really loved the idea of a fated ménage and how their chemistry flowed- a banshee, shifter, and witch definitely make an interesting grouping. Even though Penny had many insecurities, I still think that she was my favorite character. At times it felt that Reese didn’t see Penny as an equal in the relationship and it was kind of messed up since she finally completed their bond. This book wasn’t as lighthearted and humorous as the first- you can definitely feel their pain and desperation to complete their bond and their hope once they find Penny, but it had more depth and continued the main plot of the series with the witch hunters. I can’t wait for Witch’s Web to release! Sara did another great job with this narration! I loved her accent and her male voices were easier to listen to in this story. She really brought Faye, Penny, and Reese’s emotions and characters to life with her performance! @AudiobookObsession *I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I found this book on Booksprout.co. 4* Witch's Potion #1 - After enjoying Reaper, my first by Laura, I wanted to see if she could do witches. This is a fun, light-hearted, quickly read romance between a witch and dryad. The characters are likable and their conversations are interesting with their wordplay, although some of the masculine dialog sounded like a young woman would say them. The added problem of using the love potion was hilarious, along with the fact it's not THE secret, but became intriguing adding to the confusion. The writing style is makes this relaxing, entertaining read. I just wished the book was edited since the errors were distracting by sheer volume alone. I was disappointed with the ending; a sex scene after being kidnapped instead of looking for the kidnapper? I found this book on Booksprout.co. 3* (Ending and lack of edited lost stars.) Witch's Spark #2 - I thought this would be a continuation of Witch's Potion, but it was mainly about sex, a threesome. I couldn't get into the depression felt by the couple and then adding the Banshee to the mix. She came across as a stalker, a predator. I couldn't enjoy the characters as I did in WP. The writing style wasn't the same as in WP. Disappointed there wasn't more story even though the family characters did appear here and there. There's an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. This is the last book I'll read by this author. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 2*

The emotional pain can be every bit as hard to handle, as the physical pain, when you know deep down inside your sole; you know that the two of you are meant to be together. During her yoga class one day, there is an instant spark and she felt a connection with a kind hearted and friendly yoga instructor; that night the female companion was able to touch without feeling any pain. But, the male still felt the pain when they touch; until he meets the yoga instructor, then both the companions can touch each other. Maybe it wasn't that their bond was wrong all this time; that it was just that they were incomplete. They learn her secret and pull her closer and search for answers, the instructor held the secret to fix their bond. I enjoy the good love stories, and even more the ones the make the reader think about the twists in the story. Witch's Spark is the second book in the Thornheart Coven series, sweet and a little steamy romance set in the Shifter Councils universe; that is very well written and another enjoyable read from Laura Greenwood. Must to read them in order, as to not getting confused with the story-line. I was captivated with the three main characters and look forward to continuing with this story line. The fact that they were meant to be together; but, their touch caused each other pain to each other, made this story more interesting. This is an emotional story to read with interesting characters and a unique storyline. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book, giving my own honest opinion and I am giving Witch’s Spark 4.5 stars.

If you read the first book of this series, you are familiar with Faye and Reese. This all changes when Faye chances to meet a yoga instructor whom she's drawn to. That very night when she returns to Reese, she doesn't experience pain when he touches her. It turns out that Penny is bound to be their mate, and she provides a natural buffer for them. The first book of the series was a little more fun and lighthearted, but I enjoyed this one as well. You could sense Faye and Reese's sadness at their plight, and their confusion about how it could be resolved. The book had grammar, punctuation, and usage issues. The typical issues with the comma in modern books were apparent, with the comma not being used sometimes when it should and other times being used when it shouldn't. But I found the story between these three characters to be compelling enough that it was more of a nuisance than a distraction.

I was excited for this book and I was not disappointed. After so many years of loving each other and not being able to touch, I can't figure out how they stayed sane living together. I was surprised that Reese figured out what was different this time when they touched and Faye felt no pain, but he did. This second story in the Thornheart Coven series is an excellent story, combining witches, shifters and banshees, with a guest appearance from a necromancer too. I like the fact that the relationships in this series (and in all the author's books) can be with any combination of supernatural beings, not just restricted to the same ones, and in this series can also be with more than one partner (though there isn't excessive details given in the romantic scenes, keeping them relatively clean). Fated to be together, but unable to touch until the missing member of their trio shows up. This is a very interesting twist of a threesome story in that the third member is not so much an extra as essential to the union. The story was well written and the characters well developed, but there seemed to be something missing from the chemistry. Once the threesome gets together, I was expecting more of a reaction rather than just sex. Don't get me wrong. Loved it To start with, I hadn’t read Witch’s Potion, but I didn’t feel lost. I could tell there were some references to events in Potion, but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment. I really liked Reese, Faye, and Penny. I felt for all of them, Reece and Faye because they knew they should be together but couldn’t without pain, and Penny because she was so alone. I liked how they knew they were fated but still got to know each other. I’m looking forward to Witch’s Web.

This was another enjoyable read. This one focuses on Faye and Reese. They have known since they were kids that they were bonded. However, when they tried to touch each other it was painful. Now enters Penny and since meeting her they can now touch without pain. Needless to say Penny is who and what was missing from their relationship. Normally I'm not into three way relationships but it worked for these guys and they were all happy. This was another enjoyable read. This one focuses on Faye and Reese.
