I’m used to acting, but can falling in love with the man of my dreams help me take off my mask and face reality? Wherever I go, it seems I never fit in. I’m a Broadway actor, but I was just offered what most people would think is the opportunity of a lifetime: the starring role of detective on a new TV drama series. At first, I’m not sure if I should take it, because I’m used to acting, but can falling in love with the man of my dreams help me take off my mask and face reality? Wherever I go, it seems I never fit in. I’m a Broadway actor, but I was just offered what most people would think is the opportunity of a lifetime: the starring role of detective on a new TV drama series. At first, I’m not sure if I should take it, because I know it involves not only acting on set, but also playing a role in real life that doesn’t let me be true to myself. Nigel, the nerdy-but-hot law school student who frequents the coffee shop I work at when I’m not acting, is the only guy who seems to truly get me. He understands that more than money or fame, I just want the chance to pursue my passion for acting. A romance soon heats up between us, and I have finally found the place where I belong: with him, and his friends at the law firm he works at part-time while going to school. This handsome, smart, funny man knows not only how to turn me on in the bedroom but also how to strut his stuff in polyester skin-tight disco pants and four-inch platform shoes on Christopher Street when we go out with the tribe that has accepted me as one of their own now. But will Nigel and I be pulled apart by my agent Ethan’s desire to keep me closeted so that the show’s mostly female audience will still have a reason to swoon over me? Or, when I realize that Ethan has evil intentions, will Nigel and his lawyer friends help me not only come out of the closet professionally but also to out-maneuver Ethan and the studio in the courtroom? Out Maneuvered is an opposites-attract, coming out/ out for you steamy male/male romance with a bit of legal drama and a hefty dose of comedy thrown in. A full-length standalone novel of approximately 70,000 words with no cliffhanger, it combines humor, heat, heart, and a very happy ever after.

I'm not sure how to fairly rate this book. I found much of it boring. Just waiting for something to happen. Nigel is starting Law School and Christopher is a minor actor on Broadway and working in a coffee shop. Nigel is free of his ex, Dave, and when Christoper asks him out he accepts. They immediately hit it off and things go well for them. And everything keeps going well for them. Christopher's acting career switches to TV and everything is looking good. Then the drama, angst, doubt you are expecting arrives
in Chapter 18
. From the moment the trouble starts the story gets interesting and that's what spared it a one star review. Nigel's lawyer friends from the previous books jump in to save the day. Nigel and Christopher get their happy ending. This story was very different to the first 2 books where we had drama and angst from the start. Expecting something to happen in this book kept me reading. Reasonably written with lots of love. Just not what I was expecting.

Meh. Like NOTHING happened. The relationship was instantaneous, the timeline skipped weeks and months at a time, and the predictable problem occurred very late in the narrative. There was also way too much internal exposition and examination of the relationship by the main characters. Struggled to finish.

Nigel And Christopher Story This was a story that for me for the most part, low key. Some angst, but a lack of build up of character. We saw bits a pieces, but more reveal of Nigel's personality and character, than Christopher. I felt that with more development this story would have become box memorable versus " that was nice". Classic fiction, adapted for a modern audience. Easy to fall into the intrigue and sexuality of the book, I will enjoy more from Mr. Finn!

Nice sweet story about Christopher (actor/barista) and Nigel (law school) with occasional sightings of the other guys in Matt's law firm (and silly me read this out of order!) I found it very difficult to wade my way through this book. Very little happened; the writing was mediocre, and the MCs were blah. I was left with no desire to try another book by this author.

Nice story of Nigel and Christoper who have fancied each other for ages and finally have their moment to come together. The story tells of the issues that they have due to Christopher’s career and his evil manager (!) and Nigel’s amazing friends who pull together to help make everything good again. It’s a nice story with some good twists and some passion with a rather cute couple.

Nothing special here. Blase. Meh. Very little drama here. Boring. Every situation was handled methodically and efficiently. The characters were underdeveloped -superficial. The sex scenes were unrealistic in the sense that there was very little (if any) prep before anal sex. Little to no foreplay. I really couldn't wait for the story to end. Nothing special here. Blase. This was a heartwarming story. Two people so compatible who find each other and then have uncertainty, a major conflict and evil thrown at them. Christopher appears to be such a easy going, well adjusted guy and finally gets together with Nigel. When everything should be coming up roses a wrench gets tossed into the perfect relationship and causes them to define just who they are. Christopher stands behind being himself and finds out that is not so easy. Nigel seems to have trust issues. I liked This was a heartwarming story. I liked how the author brought together friends not only to help work out the relationship but also to resolve Christopher’s conflict. The bond all the friends, especially Matt, give the impression of, made me envious. No matter how many friends a person has there can never be enough nor enough close enough. The story has great flow and kept my attention. The characters were more than likable. I was glad to see the characters from Opposing Briefs and Oral Arguments appear in the story. It’s like touching base with old friends. Now I back waiting for the next story from this author.

The Actor and The Law Student Nigel is in law school and working part time in Matt’s DA office. Now his attraction to a Broadway actor/barista is beginning to make sparks flow. Christopher finally works up the courage to ask Nigel out. There are a truck load of stress and problems in their immediate future. Can the make it work? Recommend

Another well written book by Ian Finn who once again delivers a sweet romance with a heartfelt story line. The characters are strong and well developed and the scenes are described in vivid detail, It's an entertaining story filled with tons of emotions,a bit of drama and a few twists and turns along the way. The chemistry is hot and the romance sizzles. The supporting characters help to bring the story around. I enjoyed and would recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Cute and interesting I liked this story a little less than others I had read before from Ian Finn, but it has a very educational point about protection and AIDS, which is interesting. Another exceptionel book by this amazing author, Ian Finn. The book has scorching descriptions and well-developed ideas. It has humour and you will laugh right along with the perfect characters. I was captivated from the start to the end. The book is fast-paced, the writing is fluid and easily read in one sitting. It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers and a HEA. I voluntairly reviewed an ARC of this book.

Ethan's character made my skin crawl. What a soulless greedy user! I liked how Nigel came to his friend Nick's aid when he had the HIV scare. Supportive and encouraging. I loved watching Christopher and Nigel's navigate their relationship slow and steady with some bumps along the way. I liked how close and supportive this whole group of friends and lawyers were. Lots of feel goods here. Captivating read. Ethan's character made my skin crawl. What a soulless greedy user! I liked how Nigel came to his friend Nick's aid when he had the HIV scare.
