This is a particularly fun little read. It's senseless and carefree however trustworthy (in a science fiction sense). I got a very Arthur Dent feeling off our legend, Chuck, a censured normal person who the universe is by all accounts neutralizing every step of the way. However, in development, he is permitted to transcend un-remarkableness and he holds onto it with two hands. The plant is an elegantly composed legitimate underhanded scalawag. He makes an exceptionally admirable sentiment concer This is a particularly fun little read. It's senseless and carefree however trustworthy (in a science fiction sense). He makes an exceptionally admirable sentiment concerning how it is simply getting along with what it is intended to do, eat and develop and spread. It isn't its shortcoming that its prey is people, and people shouldn't be vexed concerning it. We see a smidgen of this equivalent vein in Chuck's collaboration with the lift and its AI. The creator works effectively of making you question humankind's presumption of predominance.

Crazy, fascinating fun. Witty dialogue, fun story.

I received a copy of this book as a Goodreads Giveaway. I read this book, having only a superficial exposure to the "Little Shop of Horrors" which I am sure somewhat reduced my ability to catch all of the nuances of the story, but it did not affect my ability to enjoy it. I am a huge fan of the spaceship drama genre. Anything that resembles a space opera I am totally down for giving it a shot. This is such a fun little read. Its silly and light hearted but totally believable (in a sci-fi sense). I received a copy of this book as a Goodreads Giveaway. Its silly and light hearted but totally believable (in a sci-fi sense). I got a very Arthur Dent feeling off our hero, Chuck, a maligned average guy who the universe seems to be working against at every turn. But in a turn of events, he is given the opportunity to rise above mediocrity and he seizes it with both hands. Plant is a well written lawful evil villain. He makes the very valid point about how it is just doing what is is meant to do, eat and grow and spread. It is not its fault that its prey is humans, and humans shouldn't be upset about it. We see a little bit of this same vein in Chucks interaction with the lift and its AI. The author does a good job of making you question humanities assumption of superiority. Violet, the love interest botanist, is also a god character. She is smart and clever and quick on her feet, but also empathetic in a reasonable manner. She doesn't want to kill Plant, because she knows that Plant is doing what it wants. She comes up with a plan to control it so they can resolve the situation, without having to kill it. If only all humans could think her way, the universe would be a better place.

I am a fan of the original Little Shop of Horrors, and this iteration is just as good. The dialogue is absolutely fantastic, and seeing Chuck turn from a meek janitor into a (somewhat) confident - well, I won't say what because that would be a spoiler, so we'll go with person - person is wonderful. Chief Roswell is the perfect security officer/investigator for dealing with the situation - or, rather, for mucking up the situation while Chuck and Violet actually handle it. And the transporter? In space,Chuck is a janitor with big dreams. His day dreaming gets him into trouble at times. One day he slams into a newbie and knocks a potted plant over.He takes a wee piece and tends it,until it gets out of hand. This was a terrific twist on the familiar 'Little Shop' tale.I loved it!.Hannibal Hills was a brilliant narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The Transporter is AWESOME! Definitely a cute rendition on the romantic comedy horror story. Think some of my favorite parts is the banter between Chuck and the Transporter. 🤣 This was a fun read.

I enjoyed this book, it was very amusing. It kind of reminded me of the old Dragnet series, the way the story was told. The characters were very likeable and easy to root for from start to finish. As far as I know there is no sequel, but if there was one I would read it.

[audiobook] Hannibal Hills (Narrator) 4 stars ----- Think Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Red Dwarf crossed with the original Little Shop of Horrors story. (received free copy) - but I would have used a real audible credit for this one. A light hearted romp through space with a killer plant. If you like campy horror musicals, you'll love this. A light hearted romp through space with a killer plant. If you like campy horror musicals, you'll love this.

A cute retelling of a tale with some added quirks and humor.

I don't rate or review my own books. This was certainly fun to write. I don't rate or review my own books. This was certainly fun to write.
