I have to take my hat off to Mike Sirota. He got books published and I have to admire that. That said, this is a tough book to get through without tearing clumps of hair out in frustration. All of which are in service to a plot that just sort of runs out at the end. So, terrible it may be in many ways but all power to Mike. He even rewrote and reissued it in around 2015 as The Black Seas of Maldrinium. This reworked series condenses the original 5 Dannus books into 4 but, so far as I can see from a skim read, it just corrects the typos and the sentences that made no sense. For a deeper dive check out episode 26 of the Breakfast in the Ruins podcast. We had a lot of fun with it.

This is the fourth in Sirota's Dannus series. The whole series is fairly mundane but readable. I liked the series well enough to keep reading them. This is the fourth in Sirota's Dannus series.
