Apparently only 1 in 100 babies born are female to humans. So it really doesn’t sound like either species is doing too well. That’s depressing. Human males are psycho at this point gang raping and pillaging. Vuka saves Jade from a almost gang rape by the human males in a town square. She gets over him being an alien pretty fast and is attracted to him. They’re fated mates. I was glad she didn’t constantly fight him about it. So that was pleasant. However, the Heroine Jade is annoying. She has no specific skills, traits or talents. But she’s sort of the leader between her and her three friends. What bothered me the most and I found totally contradictory to the world situation the author tried to build was the fact that Jade is OVERWEIGHT! BUT HOOOOW?! Let me get this straight the author keeps describing her as having a very curvy build which in most sci fi romance tends to mean a larger female / over weight. She tells her alien mate at one point she even has “rolls” as humans call it. THIS MAKES NO SENSE! These girls are rationing and some how living off barely any remaining canned food they can find. Which is also odd because apparently earth has been in terrible shape for decades. And other wise they scavenge for BERRIES AND MUSHROOMS. There is no way when she’s having to do walking and scavenging and they’re still starving she’d have all that extra weight on her. So unrealistic. And if they’re worried about human men finding them, WHY were they not training and learning how to fight and protect themselves? Also, WHY couldn’t she muster the strength to pull the trigger on Kane or the Governor? Weak female.

Sweet and Salty Reviews by DD

Started out interesting then got weird for me. “Alien cock” was used an infinite amount of times. The MC had killer sperm that the FMC has to adjust too. Even in the end she was unconscious after every breeding session. It was an instant love connection, which always grates on my nerves. Secondary characters were good. World build foundation was good but as the work started formation it was just not my cup of tea. Happy reading! DD💕

This may have bordered on too weird for me. It was short, smutty, and super fast paced, but I didn't particularly like the characters, even if they had good chemistry. It also may have been too short. Sure there are other books in the series, but nothing occurred here that made me want to keep reading. This may have bordered on too weird for me. New, very sexy, story about a new alien set of warriors, the Kaizon. This first one is about Vukaror, the newest head of his people, who sets out into space to find women to help repopulate his race and planet. Really simplified overview. What I liked about this story is that it was quick, smexy, introduced new aliens and characters and even though the “hero” has horns and a forked tongue, I’m gonna like ‘em! It’s not deep – it’s fun and shocking all at the same time. There are good folks and bad New, very sexy, story about a new alien set of warriors, the Kaizon. In order to save his race the Kaizon, after a sickness claims the lives of many and the fertility of the women, Vuka the king travels to earth seeking a compatible life form to mate with. The earth in this story has been decimated by nuclear war and it’s briefly mentioned that genetic altering on the planet leads to only about 1 female birth from every 100. Needless to say women are nothing but sex slaves, most often corralled like animals for the use of the local leader. Needless to say women are nothing but sex slaves, most often corralled like animals for the use of the local leader. Our heroine and her sisters have survived hidden for years and when one falls ill Jade seeks out on a impossible mission to seek medicine. For such a short story there really is a lot of world and character building. Luckily Jade runs into Vuka and the rest is history. Vuka is a very dominating and alpha male, I wouldn’t say this is a dark romance but I will say he is a bit rougher and harsh than a sedate sweet romance. For me this was a good amount of alpha maleness only made better by Vuka’s devotion and dedication to Jade, he knows when he goes to far and he apologizes. Luckily for them Jade likes him just as he is and no one can argue having a badass male dedicated to you in the midst of an apocalypse is a bad thing. Looking forward to this series progression and how his alpha brothers who think they will conquer the planet fare when they meet their mates.

Can I please find an actual story? It’s really easy to remember that a female is writing these damn things when I pick up an “alien romance” and discover the female just wants to be hurt or punished before lying back and spreading her legs and that’s the end of the story. Which is to say that there’s no freaking story! Not when you know the ending by chapter three . Every single one of these things is the same and this is such a disappointment.

TONE OF THE BOOK Beast goes for a definitely light hearted approach. It’s hard to take the novel seriously with its wild plot, unrealistic character behaviours and crazy banter. SENSITIVE TOPICS Beast is a novel clearly aimed at mature readers. There are numerous sexual scenes dominating the novel more than the actual story plot. Most of the sex scenes have a focus on BDSM, such as spanking and being tied up. SERIES SYNOPSIS Beast is the first instalment of the Warriors of Kaizon Series. There are currently 6 novels in the series. Its 135 pages long, making it 1/3 the length of a standard romance novel (at approximately 300 pages). It’s a very fast read that you can knock out in only a couple hours, and sadly because of its length it lacks a lot of depth that many novels possess. Each novel in the series focuses on a different couple. It ends with a happily ever after, with the world plot line continuing between novels. REVIEW “They were built by the government, right in the aftermath of the Mistake, to keep the population under control. They were supposedly all destroyed when they started to malfunction, but… I guess not.” The action scenes are completely ruined when the characters literally stop to have conversations constantly, usually as a means to explain the world-building. For example, Luna Hunter introduces “Hunter-Killers” which are battle bots. The females in the room decide to explain to each other (and the reader) what they are rather than seek a way to hide. They are literally being chased by robots that are shooting at them and have buzz-saws on their arms! “That’s right. I bet you’ve never had to deal with a Kaizon before.” “That’s new,” Livingston says, “but still no match for my battle bots!” Character behaviour all up is rather unbelievable all-round. For example, when the villain sees an alien for the first time, there is no shock or hesitation. The heroine consistently runs headlong into danger, and often undertakes stupid actions for the sake of just doing them (such as exposing her hiding location to pickpocket a passing guard just because). His eyebrows furrow. “You dare to challenge me?” “I don’t just dare you, I double-dare you.” “What?!” he growls. The banter is… interesting. Luna Hunter has clearly gone for what she hopes to be a perky and fun novel, however I often found myself disliking the conversations between the characters. Even when being forced into uncomfortable situations the characters regularly would talk in what felt like almost childish banter. The world building has some major flaws. Whilst Luna Hunter has clearly tried to introduce some interesting concepts, it just bounces all over the place. Luna Hunter regularly tries to impress that humanity has lost its world-knowledge and almost fallen back into the Middle Ages, but that’s acceptable as they’ve been living alone in the wilds all their lives. The heroine has no idea what a battery is, so far as to even mispronounce the term, and yet is completely comfortable interacting with robots and helicopters without batting her eyelids. FINAL WORD Sadly Beast just doesn’t impress me. It had such potential with world building, yet its flaws overwhelm what could have been an enjoyable novel. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, over-the-top romance novel that doesn’t take itself seriously at all then this one is definitely worth checking out though. It didn’t work for me because I prefer my novels a bit more grounded. RECOMMENDED BOOKS AND AUTHORS If you like very much alpha characters, then consider reading Milana Jacks. Her most famous series is Beast Mates, starting with Blind Beast Mate. Its a dystopian paranormal romance with alien werewolf-like creatures called the Beasts who have settled on Earth. The aliens have an agreement with humans living in the Communities called the Pairing Program, allowing them to buy women to be their mates. Calista Skyes’ has several action scenes in her Caveman Alien series, the first book being Caveman Alien’s Ransom. As the title suggests, this series is a more classic fantasy sword-fighting barbarian style.

Old Earth eventually eliminates itself with all the wars and stuff. Jade has been in hiding with her friends Makayla, Evie, and Dev after Jades father passed away being leader fell upon her and it's a very heavy burden. Her friend Evie has fallen ill and she has to find a way to get her medicine and the only people who have medicine are men. So Jade puts her life at risk by traveling to Irontown the last place on earth she ever wants to be, because last time she was here ended with her father smashing a man's brains in while the man's buddy ran for his life. Jade always feared running into that scar faced man again after that day. It turns out Jades worst nightmare comes true when she gets to Irontown the man with the scar face recognizes her right away. He rips her clothing from her body and plans to shackle her in the middle of the town and they're going to have a feast and her body is the main course. Just when Jade thinks all is lost that she is about to be torn apart by the whole village of men, the ground begins to shake and when she looks up she notices every man in the village is freaking out. Jade finally spots what has saved her from being mutilated but she can't help but wonder did I just go from the frying pan to the fire or what? Because there is no way that this huge eight feet tall horned alien won't tear her apart. Jade is shocked and still a bit skeptical when the alien sets her free and takes her away from the village but she can't help but wonder if this alien just might be her and the other women's salvation. Just maybe he can be the turning point for everything because none of these men can stand against a Kaizon. I would highly recommend this book to anyone it's deinitely worth the money if you don't have KU.

I have just come across a new sci-fi/erotica series that had me finishing the first book of the series in one sitting. The Kaizon alien race is dying, as their females, due to a genetic disease, can no longer produce children. This bent up testosterone has lead to countless battles, thousands dead, and the leading "house" (the strongest and most vicious rule) slowly crumbling because they have not found a solution to the cause of this genetic disease nor how to reverse it. The leader, Vukaror, has gathered his brothers together to announce he has found a planet (Earth) that may have compatible females, and he plans to go there and mate, to strengthen their house again and bring new hope to a dying race. If his mission, finding a "breeder" is successful, he will send word to his brothers so that they will follow. Earth is no longer as we know it today; women are scarce, so when found, they are forced to live at the ruling leader's compound where he and a select few men have taken it upon themselves to try and repopulate. Some men follow the plan, capture and relocate, others, more desperate, take the women for themselves, I don't need to expand, you get the gest. (there are NO forced scenes, only suggestion/hints of what can happen) Vukaror crash lands on Earth, and upon exciting his craft immediately scents his mate, his "fated" mate, and manages to rescue Jade from a group of these savage men, but instead of releasing her, Vukaror wants to keep Jade for his own. There are funny moments due to language differences, misunderstandings because of cultural differences, he is an alpha alien after all, and the sexual intensity between the two, Vukaror and Jade is off the charts. A fantastic start to a new series, and I have just finished book two as I write this!

It wasn't that bad but it really wasn't great. This book is a short, smuty (I do want to say though, a lot of the reviews are complaining about the "weird alien s*x" and tbh, this book isn't even close to what I would call "weird alien s*x" so make of that what you will), fastpaced story. When one of her friends becomes ill, she needs to risk her safety to go into town and find some medicine (without any weapon, money, thing to barter with, protection). Then we have Vuka, the King of an alien civilisation who used to be the greatest of all the Universe before a virus killed 95% of the population. He is now seeking his mate on another planet, Earth. He tells his like 7 brother but none come with him. And when he get to earth, he stumbles upon Jade who is being assaulted by human males, and basically saves her. Some of the way the world is built doesn't really make sense. Like why would Vuka come here alone? At least one of his brothers should come too, I mean, they want Neras too, right? And the whole, fated mates isn't clear either, in the way the story is told. You don't really have anything explaining how Vuka knows she's the one. I'm just confused about a lot of things and the characters weren't too appealing. Jade wasn't so bad but, pretty shallow and uselessly brave. And Vuka... yeah whatever. The end of the epilogue also totally deterred me from reading the next book.

The author can transport the reader into her world rapidly and fills her books with action and sex without being redundant. Jade’s dialogues are humorous at times. I look forward to continuing with this series.

Seriously, if you love lots of hot alien sex, you will not regret checking this out! *The not my cup of tea explanation* I am a reader who needs lots of plot and backstory for me to be satisfied. I am also one of those readers who loves steamy sex scenes, but ends up skimming through if there's too much for my tastes. With that said: this book was NOT badly written, has an EXCELLENT premise and execution, and Ms. Hunter is a wizard with the sex scenes.

So the premise of this book seemed to be pretty decent: alien race has no women and comes to Earth. However, Earth has no women either. Which I guess creates the conflict in the story, but it was just weird that the race would choose Earth (even though they knew little of us, I'm sure scouts/probes would've been a good idea). I'm not sure if it's just me but I felt the story to be rushed. And there was little to no character development. I really didn't care whether the alien got the woman or if the woman lucked out in a partner. I figured it was a great first start to a writing career though.. but then I found out that it wasn't the authors first book. But besides the fact I didn't quite like the book and felt it needed more fleshing out in terms of character and plot, I will most likely try another book by the author and make my judgement. It wasn't horrible (the sex scenes were... hot...)

Galactic Page Turner! Great book full of extremely alpha alien males who grow more possessive when they find their mates! This was a great story and I was so happy to learn that Vukaror was just the first of his Kaizon brothers who also get their own stories! The story takes off and keeps you guessing as to what the overall end goal is going to be and there is action straight out of the gate! There were several instances where I was completely floored by what is revealed and I absolutely love boo Galactic Page Turner! Vukaror and Jade were amazing characters and I love how Jade teaches Vuka about human ways and it’s hilarious his reactions to jokes and human customs. Jade and Vuka are a perfect match and I love how she knows it deep down but has no idea why it is she reacts so strongly to Vuka. Their chemistry is out of this world hot and scorches throughout the entire book!!

It could be better. I loved how the author described both worlds and the males were really amazing. However, what bothered me was JADE. She was anoying and without any noticeable characteristics. She was overweight, WOW, in a brutal world. There weren't any food enough for her and her friends but still she was very curvy, how can that be possible? In fact, I noticed that most of sci-fi books had curvy and overweight heroines! WHT? I don't want to mention the other points which frustrated me becau It could be better. I wish the next book will be different with new woman koz the girls in book 1 haven't impressed me.

Beastly hero When in the mood for a good alien romance, there is a fine line between corny and good. There's got to be a reasonably believable plot, alpha aliens that love them some human woman (feistier the better), a herione that is tough and independent but deep down wants someone to take care of her, and some bad guys that bring them together (steamy scenes with alien bits are a plus). This book has them all, even if the "human woman as breeders" bit has been used numerous times. The difference is that there is no real conquering of Earth or forcing of the woman (nice change), but more a freeing of human woman from enslavement by human men. I'm real interested in seeing were this series will head next as this book was very entertaining.

fantastic read. terrific plot and character development. awesome storyline pace which keeps u reading from start to finish. love the way earth has been decimated by war and kaizon world has been decimated by virus and the 2 come together needing something the other has. the men of earth have turned into greedy violent savages where women are concerned and the kaizon want to love and cherish the women because they need children. u know the women are going to be much happier with the kaizon men. a fantastic read. terrific plot and character development. awesome storyline pace which keeps u reading from start to finish. love the way earth has been decimated by war and kaizon world has been decimated by virus and the 2 come together needing something the other has. the men of earth have turned into greedy violent savages where women are concerned and the kaizon want to love and cherish the women because they need children. u know the women are going to be much happier with the kaizon men. also love how protective the kaizon warrior was of jade yet was vulnerable enough to realize that he had to bend his will and allow her to be who she was meant to be as well so they could support each other. highly recommend reading this book. now on to book 2.

This is the 1st book I've read by Luna Hunter and I loved it! While I loved the story there were some issues I had with it. 1. Telling someone you love them the first day you meet them seems disingenuous and if that happened in real life you would have alarm bells going off in your head. 2. It was way too short! This author missed a lot of opportunities to make this book better by lengthening it and giving it more depth. I could think of plenty of ways to add to the story. 3. It could have had more erotic scenes, she just seemed to accept what he expected of her. Where was the struggle for her to come to terms with her new life with some spankings thrown in to remind her who was her mate? It was a great read but I was left slightly disappointed.

Had an instantaneous love bomb between the protagonists. Romance mostly relied on lust. Involved some spanking. Fun to read, but not memorable. Wouldn’t keep on my shelf.

Entertaining This book was a little rushed in places. I still enjoyed it and the premise behind it. Voka's hot headed brother seems to not be much better than the remaining human males. It will be fun to see him taken to task by a human woman. DanaLynn

Hmm I don't think this one was for me. While I enjoyed the plot, I didn't actually get the "alien" feels. It felt supernatural but not really alien. For example. At the beginning of the book, the alien race who has never been to or heard of Earth or Humans used the phrase "send us off on some wild goose chase" . While I'm sure aliens have identical phrases, I highly doubt they and humans named something Geese. Also, the heroine just seemed all over the place. Now, please remember. It was ok. Some funny parts mingled in there and the descriptions of the alien are good. The plot is interesting, Earth and civilization is going backwards due to some “Mistake” involving technology and affecting DNA/genetics. This could've been amazing but unfortunately was anything but. Seemed very juvenile. The "aliens" didn't act or talk very alien at all. Instant love connection with zero build up or character. The words "Alien Cock" & "Spear" were used in basically every sex scene (which left much to the imagination) oh & let's not forget that his super duper baby gravy was oh so potent that it almost kills his so called fated mate with such orgasmic pleasure every time they play hide the sausage (or should I sa This could've been amazing but unfortunately was anything but.
