The main theme always running through Disney productions was that of the underdogs and misfits trying to make it against seemingly insurmountable odds. It was just a part of his mentality since for most of his life he undoubtedly viewed himself as that self-same underdog fight against powerful forces seeking to keep him down. Walt Disney was put to work when he was about 5 years old at an apple farm his father owned. He started drawing at a young age and he didn't know that drawing was going to lead to cartoon characters, movies, and even an amusement park. I would rate this book a 10 out of 10 because it talks about how Walt Disney created all of these characters and the whole Disney empire. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves Disney.

This book is an incredibly quick read! It’s not completely factual! The emotions of the people on the book are off! The book shows none of the true magic of Walt Disney’s life which is disappointing. If you’ve never read anything about Walt Disney then read this. It gives you very brief highlights of his life. There are much better books out there like Bob Thomas’s book. But DONT read Neil Gablers book. That book lies.
