In an effort to stay above the partisan fray, the CIA engages the Phoenix Foundation’s elite response team to halt the attacks and restore order to Washington. Led Brady Hawk, the team quickly discovers that the assault on the Senate’s servers is just the beginning. And while they work to uncover who’s behind everything and why, they get a tip about Obsidian and a U.S. Navy admiral who appears to be secretly working with the Chinese government—an alliance that would make the U.S. vulnerable in an unstable time. And Hawk refuses to let that happen.

Captain Kudrati hired men to plunder a specific Chinese boat, now having military weapons on board, that are only sold through the black market. A war that is waged against everyone, everywhere, he replied. Sniper takes him out, he was the first good lead they had, that had connection to Obsidian. Hawk and Alex have a meeting with Blunt. Telling them it is a problem that has far reaching consequences, a cyber attack. Fontenot, is up for re-election, keep your eyes on him. Telling them it is a problem that has far reaching consequences, a cyber attack. Fontenot, is up for re-election, keep your eyes on him. Senators are being targeted to step down also. The hackers causing this are from North Korea, go and find the leaks. Al Hasib has a new leader and devastating news for Hawk. Interesting to see how Hawk and Alex work together.A problem that only Hawk can fix, I found it intriguing to the end. They are full of non stop action from the beginning to the end. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Patterson builds the plot and pacing with meticulous care while inserting snippets of Brady and Alex’s adjustment to married life as teasing banter. This formula works and as long as Patterson keeps refining it, I’ll keep reading. Good job!

A true page turner! Mr. Patterson has created another spellbinding Brady Hawk thriller. This story was filled to the brim with action, plot twists and intrigue. Interestingly enough, this type scenario could be playing out in today’s world and just like in this story the majority of the population would have no clue it was occurring. I fully anticipate the next Brady Hawk story to be just as action filled or even more. If you are a Brady Hawk fan grab a copy and clear your schedule for a day, if A true page turner!
