Her writing is bordering on completely ruinous but certainly aggressively counterproductive to any current understanding of feminism. Zero acknowledgement of any idea other than extreme heteronormative sexuality. Some quotes were okay but her descriptions of their authors had entirely the wrong focus points if they were factually correct. Riddled with errors. Instead of this book, read the works of the incredible female authors that she pulls quotes from.

This can serve as a good reminder to stay positive, but it's nothing groundbreaking. All of the typos were distracting, too. This could've used another round of editing. Inspiring The book was not what I originally was looking for but it turned out to be a good quick read. The book is.more of a confidence booster than a knowledge gainer.

I really enjoyed this book. While it was definitely different than I anticipated, I appreciated it and can completely get behind the spirit of it. I will use this book and the journal prompts at the end to continuously self reflect. It should be noted that a good chunk of the book consists of quotes and very little consisted of actual thoughts from the author.

2.5. I cut out the Affirmation Station bits and put them in an Positive Affirmation Jar. :)

Encouraging I found the text encouraging and I like the idea of having a quick look into the lives of women who have shown courage. The quotations were inspirational. In actuality, I liked the premise and the title better than the book, but it had its moments and was still worth the read.
Becca Mac –
Some quotes and excerpts were really interesting. Some were a little dull. Some of the people featured in the book were inspiring while some people featured were questionable people like Margaret Thatcher.
Deborah –
Lots of recycled quotes, not worth $$$

Good to have in any self-esteem toolbox. Compact size makes it ideal for taking it with you on the go. However, a majority of the quotes, stories, and affirmations were your mediocre, run-of-the-mill variety that left me feeling meh after reading them. There was very little, but still some, content that reached out, grabbed a hold of me, and lit a fire in my soul. I found very little of value within the pages of this book, but I did enjoy the prompted journaling spaces at the end of the book and the adult type coloring pages scattered throughout; those were unique to this read. Overall, there is great potential in the concept, but I feel the release of it was rushed before all the rough edges were polished, preventing it from truly shining with its full potential.

Great book, terrible proofreading before print Love the book and concept...however, nothing turns me off faster than reading away and hitting a roadblock that catches my eye and brain such as a grammatical error or punctuation where it shouldn’t be...it interferes with my flow of reading and learning...just a few pages in...I had to stop twice and re read what I read to find it isn’t me, but mistakes in the (publishing ?). good concept. poorly executed. you’re just reading a bunch of quotes from people. there are a few one page stories highlighting some of them. the idea was good but this would have been better executed to hone in on a few key players and give detail about their life, their struggle, success, and how they got where they are.

Well researched and well written. She had an amazing story of survival. She shares quotes and summary's of lives of women who lived doing what they loved. Well researched and well written.
