I looooove reading about compost. The 2nd edition of this book was the "text" for the compost class that i took at the local Junior College in 2011ish, but I didn't read through the whole book then. The book was a quick read this month on my e-reader. I found some points that contradicted things that our instructor said (for instance, he recommended against using adding soil to a pile, but it can help to soak up the wet smelly stuff), but was also reminded of ideas that I'd forgotten (agricultur I looooove reading about compost. I loved the long treatment of trends in making compost on a large scale, i.e. municipal waste compost.

A great update to a great book. This is the compost bible! I would still like to see a bit more information included about composting chicken waste--there is very little available out there for the backyard chicken keeper.

Really great resources for different approaches to composting along with their pros and cons. This thing is dense in information. From a history of composting to current regulations and Organic concerns to different process's and philosophies to composting. A very thorough overview of composting theory, methods, materials and equipment. A valuable resource for anyone considering starting or expanding composting operations (home or larger scale)
