The Chapter Black arc continues to deliver interesting challenges for the cast. The sniper had a really creative ability. And the game kid's powers, while creative, were introduced and executed in a very clunky way. Those stumbles, however, are more than made up for with a gut punch of a conclusion. Can't wait to see what comes next. The Chapter Black arc continues to deliver interesting challenges for the cast. The sniper had a really creative ability. This arc just gets better and better, and Urameshi and his team take on new foes with a nefarious plot. We learn a bit more about the leader of these enemies, Sensui, and his motivations to open a portal to the demon world. The villains they take on in this volume continue the discussion of morality and what it means to be good and to do good. We see our heroes make hard choices and that's always fun to see. Why is Yusuke always so adorable? Things are really serious now. I can feel the change in atmosphere just by reading. I also love how everything that’s happening in the story is very possible to actually happen in real life.

Nossa teve uns painéis lindos nesse volume.

Yoshihiro Togashi, Yuyu Hakusho: Standoff at the Eleventh Hour (ViZ, 1993) The Demon Rift is almost open, but Yusuke and the gang are hot on the heels of the demons trying to open it. Problem is, their guide hasn't been to the hideout in a while, and there's something new waiting there... I've been away from Yuyu Hakusho for a while (my library had to replace a couple of missing books), and it's always great to get back to this series. This definitely seemed like a throw back series but I thought the characters were well developed and the action from the series came across well. The fighting scenes were fantastically done and I was really able to get into the story.

Really enjoying his series again. This volume had several great moments. Some made me laugh, I yelled "gross" at one point, I think. And had some seriousness. Really enjoying his series again. I'd watched and liked the anime version when I was still a kid. For now, I got no plans for buying a copy. I'd watched and liked the anime version when I was still a kid. For now, I got no plans for buying a copy.
