What's a wizard to do when the fallen world he lives in demands more and more of him? Michael Hart's decided that he needs to help put things back together again and then find some others to take part of the load off of his shoulders. Rynn's an old friend, and a wizard like himself. She brought a small group of her students with her when she arrived, fleeing from the riot What's a wizard to do when the fallen world he lives in demands more and more of him? Michael Hart's decided that he needs to help put things back together again and then find some others to take part of the load off of his shoulders. Rynn's an old friend, and a wizard like himself. She brought a small group of her students with her when she arrived, fleeing from the riots in the larger cities. Now they're family as far as he's concerned. His real family is there as well, his father and uncle stepping in to help as they can. And if his suspicions are correct, they'll all be in danger if the Council of wizards manages to remove him. The Council has been rebuffed twice now when they tried to kill him. But they desperately want the crystal mine that he once managed and is now guarding. This time they've decided to overwhelm him with numbers since their attempts to kill him with their troubleshooters both failed. When Michael discovers that the Council's wizard troops are mind controlled and possibly acting unwillingly, he decides that he needs to free them somehow. Although he fears growing too powerful, he'll need more power than he ever dreamed of having, and secrets will need to be revealed, if his plan is to succeed. This book is DRM free.

Book three Mistakes: I found one. Stop when it should have been top. Plot: Defense of the town from a mind controlled military unit. I’m just a little confused as to why nobody in this town has collected cattle or goats or even pigs to add to their food sources. Characters: I’m glad we find out why the Mc keeps doubting himself, but really wish he would get over the fact that sometimes you must take the responsibility of executing evil people, not just killing them in combat. 8/10

Loved it I'm writing this during the pandemic lockdown/self isolation covid19 thing in early 2020. This series is insanely fun to read. I say insane because without this book series I would have gone insane with boredom. I'm looking forward to reading more of this timeline. Keep up the good work. Fairly well done tale. I liked it quite a bit. Didn't know there was more in the series though, have to go hunt them down now (assuming they exist). Ties most of the threads up nicely for the previous books in the series, and even hints at more for the next book. Very nicely done. Fairly well done tale. I liked it quite a bit. Wonderful book! I only have one complaint, the rest of the series isn’t out yet. Seriously between this and the farmer series, I have found another author that cannot wrote fast enough!

The battle of the Ley Lines is on - and the gang has to defend the crystal cache. I was convinced this was a trilogy - not sure why - so I was a bit surprised to see that there is a 4th book mentioned at the end of this one. On the other hand, I feel like this ended in a good spot, so I think I may stop here. Nothing explicitly mentioned that ties this into another trilogy by the author, but given that it's about Merlin during WW II, I'm guessing that's tied in. All in all, really enjoy this autho The battle of the Ley Lines is on - and the gang has to defend the crystal cache.
