This was my first read from this author. I enjoyed her writing style. I appreciated all of the five novels. I took pleasure in the banter, wittiness, the setting, strong foundation, they all felt sensible and practical. Based on the events of a play i found the heroines to be week, childish and unable to make wise decisions, making the hero week and to vulnerable for his character type he was portrayed. Once they went from wondering to predicting it took the emotion away, a simple pleasure of looking forward to something. The heroines were heartbroken under the circumstances but i wished they were furious, strong, act of their age at the same time. Overall it was okay, It made the storyline decent for me, could of been great! I will check her other work!

Romance The stories were great! They kept me reading well into the wee hours of the night. The reason I didn't give five stars was because of the number of serious typos, especially in the first story. There was one long paragraph I never could decipher in the first story. The later books weren't as bad, but as I raced to follow the later stories, I found they acted like speed bumps which was annoying. I would like to suggest the auther hire a professional proof reader, which I am not. These stor Romance The stories were great! They kept me reading well into the wee hours of the night. Love all of Kathryn's books, Bought this box set just to read Guardian of darkness. I already have the others in the box set (.99). This book is about a Knight whose world was turned upside down by a 12 year old soon to be Queen of England. So his brothers and friends keep him hidded from the King. But he meets a fiery Scottish lass and things are never boring. This is a tragic book, but loving also. Love all of Kathryn's books, Bought this box set just to read Guardian of darkness. The authors descriptive prose has me feeling as though I am there, listening and watching, and feeling too. The characters are developed appropriately and humanly, the heroine isn't the typical Scottish lass found running willy, nilly through the forest but a young woman who knows her priorities. I found this book to be captivating for the very reason....it's believable! The authors descriptive prose has me feeling as though I am there, listening and watching, and feeling too. This book is a smorgasbord for both sexes. Knights of old, their battles, training, marriages, affairs, children - it,s all here, written historically without all the boredom of reality. I love it so much that I bought the rest of her books. Try reading one story, you'll want to read the rest. Kathryn Me Veque is that good!!!! This book is a smorgasbord for both sexes. Enjoyable distraction from the real world It could get a bit lengthy when the author was trying to describe things, with too many adjectives. But all in all, I would read them in other books as they did keep my curiosity of the characters. I would even re-read this collection

This is an AWESOME boxed set by Kathryn Le Veque. "The Wolfe" is my favorite book of all time and this reading was my 6th time. Nine hundred and nine pages fly in this amazing story. I fell in love with Sir William de Wolfe (our hero) and Jordan (our heroine) from the very first read. Fantastic cast of secondary characters that are integral parts of the entire story line. Never once was I bored or wanted to rush through pages to get to the good part. Every part of this book is good. I'm so very This is an AWESOME boxed set by Kathryn Le Veque. I fell in love with Sir William de Wolfe (our hero) and Jordan (our heroine) from the very first read. Fantastic cast of secondary characters that are integral parts of the entire story line. Never once was I bored or wanted to rush through pages to get to the good part. Every part of this book is good. I'm so very pleased that nothing was cut out to make it an "average" book, page wise. Every bit of what happened was important and I relished and cherished all of it. The Epilogue was perfect! Since I first read this book years ago, many more books (sons, sons of friends, etc.) have grown from this story. There is even a whole Kindle World (de Wolfe pack) which has sprouted from this book. And, even after having read it six times, I still love it, will re-read it again and will end up with that silly smile on my face at the end. I just love it. It is, without a doubt, my very favorite book and Sir William de Wolfe is my very favorite hero/book boyfriend. It has had a permanent place on my Kindle since that first read years ago. And, there it will stay! An epic medieval book. This was my second read of "The Nighthawk." The love story between Patrick de Wolfe ("Atty"), Sir William de Wolfe and Jordan de Wolfe's son and Brighton de Favereux ("Bridey") is so very sweet and moving. Patrick, the consummate warrior, has been working his entire life towards the ultimate goal and has finally had his dream fulfilled. He is about to embark on what would prove to be the pinnacle of any English warrior's dream career when he rescues a young postulate kidnapped by Scots reivers. Almost immediately he is thrown into a quandary, questioning his emotions and his life-long goal. It started out as a simple rescue but, as the puzzle pieces slowly come together, turns into a situation that could have tremendous ramifications for himself, his family and his country. As if this isn't enough for Patrick, he is keenly aware of his father's dreams for him and his legacy. Torn between the expectations of his father, his King and his love for Bridey has brought Patrick to an important cross road in his life. How Patrick handles it all is edge-of-your seat reading. Oh yes, there is a lot of intrigue as mysteries are revealed. In addition to Sir William de Wolfe and his lovely wife, Jordan ("The Wolfe"), I was also thrilled to visit with my other favorite characters who played prominent roles in "The Wolfe." It was wonderful to catch up with Sir Paris de Norville, Sir Kieran Hage and Jemma and meet their grown children and respective spouses. It was just like visiting old, cherished friends. Yes, I loved this book. I predict "Nighthawk" will be re-read by me many more times. And, if you haven't had the pleasure of reading "The Wolfe," I highly recommend that masterpiece. My second read of "Guardian of Darkness" and it is very good. This was my third read of "Savage Curtain" and it really is excellent. All in all, this is an amazing boxed set priced at a steal. Medieval heaven!
