Really great issue! Excited to see where they take the Victim Syndicate.

I fear this is already going down and familiar a futile path.

There's a lot of good set up going on here, but Tynion perhaps skips too many steps to get us to that final splash page. I think it can all be summed up in the way he basically skips over all of the interesting growing pains of Stephanie rejoining the team. He's done an excellent job of showing how "dying" and seeing his future changed Tim, but he doesn't quite seem like he knows how to explore Stephanie's emotional turmoil at the same level. He's done an excellent job of showing how "dying" and seeing his future changed Tim, but he doesn't quite seem like he knows how to explore Stephanie's emotional turmoil at the same level. It's mostly other people people speaking for her, specifically men. Yeah, Anarky and Tim represent two different methods for changing the world, but it doesn't help us understand better who Stephanie is if she can't speak for herself. Two final points. 1. There's something both frustrating and disappointing in the way Tynion is recycling previously-used villains, but if he's treating this arc like a season finale and we're finally going to get to the point with these characters, then I accept it. 2. The new artist is not helping me enjoy this arc.

Brilliant. Characters making decisions (good and bad) that make sense for them. Tim's making a hell of a bad decision, but it's one that I believe he'd make. I like the way Gotham itself almost acts as a character in this title. Brilliant. Characters making decisions (good and bad) that make sense for them. I'm amazed at how detailed and real the characters look. The storyline looks promising! I'm amazed at how detailed and real the characters look. The storyline looks promising!

Stephanie and Tim had a bit of development, but it felt like more could’ve happened in this issue. I am curious about what happens with the Victim Syndicate.
