We can see rainy days ,sunny days and windy days all year round, but there is one kind of weather that appears only in winter .What is it?--------That's right. It's snow. Children are outside , They watch the dark grey sky. They wonder when the first snowflakes will come. Children are excited to see the first snow of this winter . They taste it and feel it, They don't mind We can see rainy days ,sunny days and windy days all year round, but there is one kind of weather that appears only in winter .What is it?--------That's right. Meh. It's ok. Contrasts the trouble snow causes working adults with the fun it can bring for kids. The postman has trouble in the snow - not a surprise since he's riding a bicycle for some reason - and ends up breaking his leg. The policeman has trouble in the snow, due to the difficult traffic snarls it causes. The farmer has trouble in the snow because he still has to feed his donkeys (why donkeys? Wouldn't cows or horses be more typical?), and the snow "crushes" the stable (don't worry, the donke Meh. It's ok. Contrasts the trouble snow causes working adults with the fun it can bring for kids. Wouldn't cows or horses be more typical?), and the snow "crushes" the stable (don't worry, the donkeys appear completely fine and unconcerned). But the kids have fun with snowball fights, making snowmen and building snow houses. I would have liked to have seen more pages showing the kids playing in these various ways, it's limited to just one page/picture. But the kids are shown anticipating the coming snow with excitement, and watching/playing while grownups work to shovel snow. It ends with: "Then the sun comes out. The snow starts to melt little by little. Guess who will be happy." Shouldn't "Guess who will be happy." end with a question mark? And why isn't there another page telling us who is happy? I guess the assumption is there will be a grownup person reading this story to a kid and therefore be able to give the kid a clue if he/she can't figure it out. But still. Overall, no real issues, but nothing to make it stand out in the crowd.

This story is a really nice story about the snow and showing how most adults had a problem with it and why – yet, the kids enjoyed it. The illustrations were nice enough you could hang them, if you wanted to tear the book apart, --- particularly liked how the last page was a question to be answered by the reader.

snow picture book for kids by angela lake Children's colorful book but the print is so tiny you can hardly even read it. I'd have to use my magnifying glass. Grey snowy day and nobody likes to be outside. Focuses on a farmer and policemen and the animals and children. Next day is a different story as the snow has stopped falling. snow picture book for kids by angela lake Children's colorful book but the print is so tiny you can hardly even read it. Great picture book This book is easy to follow for young readers and listeners alike. The pictures are very vivid and tells the story themselves.

Snow gets in the way of some people's job(s), so they will never appreciate it the way that children do. Snow gets in the way of some people's job(s), so they will never appreciate it the way that children do.

Read my full review at: PerfectlyTolerable.com I like the artwork and the story reads well.  Its short and sweet.  The only issue that I have is that the adults don't like the snow and the kids do.  I know lots of adults, including a police officer, that love snow too!
