Gonsalves has a special skill when writing, which makes the reader engrossed in her words. I appreciate the style she used in the book as it made the reading experience seem like a fun sport. Every piece of writing in the book is fulfilling in that, the reader gets a special sensation after reading. The poetry and prose in Gloria Gonsalves’ book are enlightening. The reader gets to know about different religions and how our differences make us unique and amazing. Reading the book will help you understand why it is important for people from different backgrounds to embrace and accept their individuality. ‘Gratitude Beneath an Orange Grove’ was among my favorite poems in the book. Everything from the words and arrangement of the lines made me fall in love with this beautiful piece of literature. ‘Single and Beautiful’ is another fantastic poem that touched me on a spiritual level. Gloria Gonsalves’ style of narration is excellent. The author was keen on how she wanted to pass her message across, and thus put in extra effort when writing the prose. Gloria Gonsalves’ style is that which can be described as gratifying. You are not able to stop once you start reading the book. The book reveals how human beings go through struggles and hard times as they try to seek contentment, spirituality, and holiness. The reader is exposed to sincerity which is not visible to every being. Through the book, one can open their eyes on so many things that have been ignored.‘Let’S Go Dancing in the Light: A Collection of Poetry and Prose for Soul and Spirit’ is good for your spirituality. The author’s simple words will enable you to dig beneath the surface and examine things like divinity, mysticism, sanctitude, hope, inner peace, acceptance and religion in general. The subject matter in the poems may have been deep and serious, but the author had a way to make everything seem so simple to the eyes. Gloria Gonsalves’ words are solid. The simple lines she wrote in the poems evoked strong emotions in me more than once. Reading her book was a pleasure as it is through her words that I realized that not everything is in black and white. The book will help you reflect on life and humanity. Every poem is a gem on its own, conveying different messages that are equally important. The author has a special sense of writing style.

Gloria D. Gonsalves’s beautiful collection of poetry: Let’S Go Dancing in the Light: A Collection of Poetry and Prose for Soul and Spirit, captures the duality of humanity with hope and grace. I liked the prologue that starts the book because it gives the author a chance to speak clearly and speak of acceptance and non-judgment. The poems themselves range broadly in theme and structure, but they were easy to read, feel, and connect with. The author lays her soul open in these works, and it pays off by creating a beautiful and accepting space. I liked the poems that explored the idea of religion a lot. These are not just pieces about love but about struggle, about curiosity, and about self. The author has used poetry to deepen her own understanding of the world and God. I found this to be an incredibly interesting way to delve into a subject, and it kept me captivated in the poems. The collection itself is a religious work, touching upon the way in which God came into the author's life. That being said, I do not think that you have to be religious yourself in order to connect to the poems. The poems touch upon emotions, emotions that most people can easily connect with. The poems are easy to read, and the collection feels cohesive. For lovers of poetry, this collection is well worth a read.

Let's Go Dancing In The Light: A Collection Of Poetry and Prose for Soul and Spirit is a unique poetry book created by Gloria D. Gonsalves. You can tell right away that the author is speaking through her heart in each of these pages. The poetry book is based around God and how he helped her and how she came to find religion. I feel that if readers actually take these poems and prose to heart they will see that it's okay to have your own beliefs, it's okay to embrace the individual you were created to be and it is okay to accept not only yourself but others fully because everyone is unique in their own way and there is nothing wrong with that. There is no real right or wrong. Poetry isn't one of my favorite reads because it causes me to easily lose focus, very rarely will a poem capture my attention. I think that me being a Christian and hearing the authors journey helped to keep me interested in the book and helped me want to continue turning the page. I like that the author used a lot of free-style poetry. I also appreciate at the beginning of the book when the author explains that she is not trying to shove her religion onto others, I think that was important for her to state especially since she comments on people judging her and being angry with her. She doesn't solely focus on her beliefs and I think that also aids in the book being better because the reader gains some insight into other religions as well.

Want to feel God’s Power? In Gloria’s Gonsalves’s Let’s Go Dancing in the Light, this poetry book is filled with powerful poetry and strong prose for the soul and spirit. A smooth flow for easy reading and every word choice supports her thoughts and feeling on religion. For prose, it tells a story in one graph or two, whether short or long, it paints a vivid picture on how she needed God for help. And it came out clearly on every page. The author wrote from her heart and poured her heart and soul in each and every word without using figures of speech or irony. If you need something to uplift your spirits, read this book and believe in God. Though there are some minor punctuation/grammar errors, this word is made-up and not in the dictionary, which could be simplified: Agathokakological. Overall, this was a great poetry book. I give it 4 stars out of five.

My favorite work in the collection is The Litany of Life where she points out the many dualities of life and death. I also loved and got teary-eyed over the essay on being a single mother. This was so emotional! I also love her piece on why Mondays should actually be celebrated and not feared or hated! I even picked up some new vocabulary along the way. I had to look up “agathokakological” and plan to use it in a sentence this week! Ha! I so enjoyed this beautiful piece of art and appreciated how open Gonsalves was in its creation. Her interesting background and take on the world is so intriguing and refreshing. I very much recommend this piece of literary art to all types of readers. It fed my soul and gave me lots to ponder. A job well done!

I absolutely loved this short poetry and prose book. The poems in the book are simple but sweet to the eyes. The author did not adhere to strict poetry rules but that did not make the book any less interesting. Amazing book for readers who enjoy short reads. You enjoy every poem.
