   I have always heard about the stories or even watch documentary shows about his 'I Have a Dream' speech and stories about how he stood up for the civil rights of African-Americans in 1950s, but never fully grasp the way of thinking and values he's trying to portray and instill about fighting for civil rights of the minority back then. Through the stories told in the book, from the period of segregation till the signing of the Civil Rights Act and the struggles he faced while leading the African-A I have always heard about the stories or even watch documentary shows about his 'I Have a Dream' speech and stories about how he stood up for the civil rights of African-Americans in 1950s, but never fully grasp the way of thinking and values he's trying to portray and instill about fighting for civil rights of the minority back then. Through the stories told in the book, from the period of segregation till the signing of the Civil Rights Act and the struggles he faced while leading the African-American civil rights movement using nonviolent civil disobedience, it gives the reader a glance at history to where it all started.
