Love this series ! After reading the first Cassie Coburn book , I immediately bought the next two . I have doled them out to myself so the fun would last longer . This third in the series was as action-packed and fun as the previous books. I sure hope the next book is released soon! Great characters, wonderful writing.

These mysteries are fun, with enough byplay to make them interesting... but Cassie is a doctor. In the US if you graduate from medical school you are a doctor...then you complete a residency. But residents are already physicians. So she will need to choose a new specialty, and complete a new residency (which is not the easiest) but it’s driving me crazy that they keep saying she isn’t a Doctor.

Don't judge this series by it's covers. I Love Them So Much! Definitely one of my favorite cozy mystery series. Honestly, I think the only thing this series needs is a better cover design to match the content, the covers really don't do them justice. I have been listening to these with my 13 year old and she's loving them too. It's a modern take on Sherlock Holmes and Watson, with Sherlock character as a French woman with his personality and Watson's character is a American woman who moved to the UK after an accident kept her from being a surgeon and is trying to figure out what to do now with her life. These two polar opposite characters are forming a unique friendship and each of their investigations provide so much entertainment, laughter and suspense. This series is truly a lot of fun and only made better by the incredible narrator, her accents and acting skills are top notch!! I have broken down and bought them all but, if you have a credit then it's definitely worth it! These books are much better in order but can be read individually. As a parent I would place this as PG13 - a middle school read and up. These books have been really pretty clean, very mild language, there is some description on the murders as to be expected in murder mysteries but not in an overly graphic way. The only mild warning is there is a love interest and there is talk of sexuality and attraction but there have been no sex scenes or anything of that nature.

This is the first book in the series that I've read, and I am hooked. I loved Violet, she was blunt, highly intelligent and just a bit scary. Her parts of the story had me grinning the whole book through. Cassie was also interesting, but compared to Violet, she came across as quite normal. I loved the tension int he book, and the mystery was well done. It all made sense logically once revealed but there was nothing obvious about it, I really enjoy that, I hate it when I figure it out early on. I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Violet and Cassie I have now completed bookish 1,2,&3 and starting on number 4. Oof course by moose I know how they tend but each one is filled with humor and a bit of suspense and a little love. Just plain enjoyable reading. There are however a few grammatical errors that’s surprise me. Hello editors, check you grammar books, have got is incorrect out should be have gotten, tenses have to agree and the errors stick out like sore thumbs. I just don’t let them detract from the story. Not a female Sherlock! Violet Dupois isn't a female Sherlock Holmes. Rather, he is a version of her. This is one of my favourite series. I could see this as a TV series but only the Brits of Canadians could do them right. IMHO. Though there are backstories developing, not reading the series in order still works. Was enjoying the series in a mild way but this one lost me. Won't go into detail but a hook nose and greasy hair is no reason to judge someone and you do not 'diffuse' a bomb. Cassie Coburn book 3 A new book, another mystery with Cassie & Violet racing around to find some stolen Ebola virus. Violet is her usual know-it-all self and together they get into some interesting situations. Cassie is coming out of her depression and the character is growing stronger with each book. This book is just as good as the first two. I loved being able to lose myself in London with these two totally different characters. Another 5 stars in m y book.
